Writing: Story regarding the event featuring #A-0005 SM's Read Between the Lines//Linus [209 words]

It was blissfully cool when Linus and the trainer continued up the mountain the next day. According to the trainer and the map, they were about halfway to the peak. Linus was feeling pretty good about things, even after the couple of delays they'd had. They stuck closely to the trail today. Linus walked on the very edge of the path, head down as he searched for interesting smells.
He kept coming across pinecones that had fallen from the trees above him. Curious, he picked one up in his mouth. Maybe they were edible? He crunched down on one to find out. The pinecone made a satisfying crunching noise, but it tasted pretty terrible. Linus spat it out, spreading the little seeds all over the ground. The trainer chuckled as Linus trotted back over to walk beside them.
"Those aren't for dogs to chew on," the trainer said with a smile, kicking a pinecone that had fallen on the trail.
Linus watched it skitter down the trail. Instinctively, he ran after it. He caught it once it had slowed, then ran back to the trainer and dropped it at their feet. The trainer snorted, reaching down to scratch Linus behind the ears.
"You want me to kick it again?"

While Marek and werepickle are hiking, Marek manages to find someone's car keys that have fallen between two large rocks. You manage to retrieve them and a mile later you find their very thankful owner who makes sure to thank both you and Marek for your hard work! You've progressed 277 feet up the mountain!

Ghost and Delta Dawn started off a little slower than usual due to the number of other hikers on the trail causing a bit of a back-up at one of the challenging rock scrambles, but after an hour you're able to get past the traffic jam. You've progressed 278 feet up the mountain!

There are so many deerflies and mosquitoes out today Gasparluna844 is afraid that they’ll carry Chester off. Chocolate Puff has spotted something in the trees and is acting very suspicious of it - sniffing the air, fur bristling, and circling around whatever the object is. As Furrydogs12 gets closer they see that it’s a rather large white bathtub in a small clearing - how the heck did that get there? You take a picture because you know no one will believe your story before continuing up the mountain. You've progressed 392 feet up the mountain!

For whatever reason today is unbearably hot and humid. Knowing better than to attempt to hike through the hot and sunny parts of the day, Linus and shortstop get an early start, set up by a stream to swim and take a nap while the worst of the heat passes, and then continue their hike up the mountainside. You've progressed 326 feet up the mountain!

Delgado and Julius525 come to an open stretch of trail with no trees. A very strong wind is blowing up the exposed mountainside, so strong that you struggle to keep your balance and Delgado turns around. You look up to see a large snake swimming towards you! ►Athena◄ grabs Cinnamon and quickly runs uphill to get away from the snake, and after hiking away from the snake for at least a mile you try again to find a nice lunch spot.
