Chris reached out his paw, tears falling down his face. "Sirius!" he cried, desperately trying to hold onto the darker Kalon. "please, love, if you don't run you'll die too" he mumbled though he knew that Sirius could not hear him. The fire sparked and burned around Sirius and the lifeless body of Chris. As if Sirius had heard him he got up, turned, and ran. The building burned and collapsed behind him and Chris stood above his corpse, the building seemed to crumble and all in slow motion.
Sirius had let the thoughts of Chris' death consume and corrupt him, sending him down the path of a demon. Chris watched in horror for years before he was finally allowed to return to the world of the living as a demon's apprentice. He trained under Queen Ashanti in her castle where she lived wither her family. He told stories of his past life, he travelled with Sirius. They had seen the whole world twice over with each other.

"Isn't this place beautiful, Chris?" Sirius said lovingly as he gazed over the ocean with Chris sitting by his side. He hummed in response before speaking. "You know, nothing compares to your beauty, Sirius" he muttered, face flushing, Chris had never been good at flirting but with the silence that radiated from his usually talkative partner he knew he did something right. "oh my lord, I swear you are going to kill me one day!" Sirius teased and tackled Chris to the ground in a hug, both were laughing and smiling.

They walked side-by-side, they were smiling and laughing together. They were returning home after travelling the world together, that was the day Chris died.

Chris told about that night, tears welling up and falling down his face. Ashanti listened and told him about the Sirius she knew, a corrupt yet still kind demon. Chris grew angry as he asked Ashanti how she thought the monster Sirius had become was kind, he explained the Sirius he knew and loved was so much more kind and not some twisted demon. That night Chris had to run, he had to abandon his training and find Sirius, he had to.

He searched for days, asking around about his love and was eventually led to him. Chris saw him with a pink Kalon with long braided hair who was smiling and laughing along with him. Chris charged at him and pinned him to the ground. "How COULD you, Sirius!? You promised me! You said you would never leave!" he had sobbed, watching Sirius go from surprised, to scared, to sympathy. "Chris... You were dead... I never meant to hurt you. Zoria is my apprentice! I have always loved you!" he reached up to cup Chris' cheek while the pink kalon, Zoria, stood silently and watched the exchange.

From there Sirius had to explain everything to Chris, he had to tell him what happened. Though, during this, Chris felt the corrupt nature of a demon wash away and reveal the same truly loving and caring nature he had known so well. He told Sirius how he returned to the living world and how he had trained under Ashanti, the demon queen. They had come back together.

Though, not all good things last.

Chris was never destined to stay alive for long, he had died once and now again. He lay on the soft warm sand of a beach, his fur soaked down to the bone. He had been taken into the depths and had drowned, washing up at Sirius' paws. From this point forward neither of them made a move to reunite since they knew they would be ripped apart in the end.
