I had a DKA which made all my organs start to slowly shut down.
I'm a type 1 diabetic and really underweight due to this y'see so those two things made it 1000times worse.

5 days in the Intensive Care unit and then 1 in the general ward. I got put in with loads of old people BUT there was this lovely lady opposite me that kept my sanity in check with conversations and jokes. The others were driving me up the wall x3333

Ouch, that sounds painful! I'm glad there are nice strangers in the world XD

I feel your pain in a way. I broke my arm really badly when I was 6, I had potential to have a paralysed left arm. For the next 5 years I had check ups every few months. Just last year I underwent surgery to make it seem smaller.
