Aha! The thing you spotted came out of the bushes...
"We’re all out of candy, but I’m still a little hungry. Would you mind if I tagged along with you?"

After ditching the greedy little Sweeten, you and the witch went into her house, finding the right potions. You dumped them onto the Sweeten treaters.

One by one, they all began to transform...

Twenty Sweetens dressed in costume appeared! They all began to cry to you:

"Thank you!"

"You saved me!"

"You're the best!"

Then, they noticed the witch, and immediately took a step back. Multiple gasps, some growls...

"It's okay, she's friendly," you said. You then explained the situation. The treater Sweetens understood.

"Wait, but we still don't have any candy..." one of the treaters said.

That was right. They gave all the candy to that Sweeten, and left none for themselves. And the witch's spells proved unreliable...

"There's still some time left... why don't you go trick or treating with me and my Sweetens?" you asked.

The treaters looked at each other. Then they all nodded.

"Sure!"

"Wait, but can the witch come too?" another treater asked.

The witch shifted her paws uncomfortably. "Um, not to be rude... but I have a name."

You all glanced at her, and you felt silly. All this time, and you hadn't even asked her name. Calling her "the witch" did seem kinda rude...

"I'm sorry," you told her. "What is your name?"

The witch smiled.

"My name is Tabitha," she replied.

You smiled back. Tabitha, huh? That was a nice name.

"Well, Tabitha," you said. "It's getting late, Sweetenween is almost over, so we better hurry if we want to catch some more candy. Shall we go?"

And with that, you, Tabitha the witch, the treaters, and your Sweetens all headed out to get more candy--this time, for you to eat! And after that, Tabitha decided maybe it'd be best if she stayed with you. You're very nice to Sweetens, after all!

And they lived happily ever after.
