On their routine patrol through the Wastelands, the trio of wermz stumble across something that they've never seen before...

Guilla stops dead in their tracks. Pennyroyal tugs on one of Inia's sleeves. Inia gasps, moving a set of arms out behind her. Just ahead of them, skulked...something. A shadow peeled itself from a large curved pillar of bone. Through the hazy dust, they saw it begin to shamble towards them. Inia could feel Pennyroyal's frame tremble with sour fear. Guilla took a step towards it, and then another, then another, ignoring when Inia hissed at them to be careful.

Within a breath, it was upon them--out of the dust staggered...a werm. They coughed, their small frame coated in dust and grime. Guilla held their arms out, half-catching the werm as they collapsed into Guilla's embrace. The Wastelands' terrible heat beat down upon them all. Pennyroyal crept out from behind Inia, inspecting the newcomer. She dug into her pouch, offering some dried herbs that the werm weakly chewed. Inia still held guiltily in place, frozen by her fear. Was it a mirage? Was this werm dangerous? After a moment, she blinked, scrambling into action. "We've got to get them out of here."

(Yes, I would love to adopt werm #1362! Thank you so much! ;o;)
