Bloomskull's heart was pounding in his chest. There was a long line of dozens of deer (and their swift companions!) stomping and shuffling behind a lime chalked into the grass. He clutched his basket tighter. The line stilled. Silence fell.
A tense pause.
*bam!*
The starting signal!
The line dissolved into chaos, deer and companions scattering at high speed into the fields. The Annual Egg Hunt was on!
Laughter and fun was the rule of the day, with a dozen different prizes up for grabs, then a huuuge picnic for everyone afterwards.
It was one of Bloomskull's favorite days of the year!
