Do you have any experience being a Moderator?:
Yes!
If yes, explain. If not, skip:
I have been a moderator for a few UMAs now!
- Aeros + Crystals both had Discord servers in use.
- As a moderator for all four UMAs, it was my duty to help monitor threads and Discord servers to ensure rules were being adhered to within each one. Rolls were posted for exploration tasks as required on specific days according to each thread days. Occasional posts for litter results were posted on main threads. Questions were answered both in Discord and CS threads as needed.

TeacatsSomeone asks a question in the questions channel. What do you do? :
Answering questions is something I love doing! As long as I am not at work or in class, if I 100% know the answer I will answer their quetion/s right away! If I don't know the answer off the top of my head, I will reply directly to their message with a simple "Hmm, let me figure this out for you!" then I will go search for the answer myself or I will ask a fellow staff member before replying to the user who originally asked the question. If their question requires admin assistance, I will reply to their question with a "let me get some additional help with this" and then I will pop into the staff chat to ping an admin for assistance!
People are talking in the wrong channel. What do you do? :
I would politely remind them that their topic of discussion belongs in "xxx channel" (with the correct channel tagged for them to easily find it) and direct them to continue their conversation in xx channel so others who may need to use the channel they are actively in can do so uninterrupted!
Two members are arguing. What do you do? :
My initial response in both answers would be to generally message the channel they are arguing in, reminding all users that our servers are supposed to be a happy, safe, and fun place for all Meesk lovers to talk! If the argument continues in the server after my message, I would message the channel again advising the users to take their discussion to a private form of chat and that if they needed moderator assistance to reach out to a member of the staff to do so.
Warnings/Strikes would be given as needed based on the topic of the argument, foul language use, etc.
A member is harassing another for their Meesk. What do you do? :
My actions would depend on the situation at hand.
User A: Meesk Owner/Getting Harassed + User B: Bullying/Begging for Meesk
1. If User A reaches out to me directly on Discord/CS, I will respond to their messages as soon as possible. In my initial message to User A, I would ask them to provide me with proof of the harassment as well as User B's name or a link to their profile (if these things weren't already provided). Once proof was provided, I would look over the proof before responding. If it is indeed harassment for a Meesk, I would inform User A that we will reach out to User B about the situation and get it handled. I would reach out to User B via whatever platform the harassment has occurred on, probably Discord. In my message to User B, I would remind them of our UMA rules that must be followed and explain to them why their messages are considered harassment. At this point, I would inform them they have either received an official warning and remind them that their next offence will lead to a strike. After my message to User B has been sent I would reach back out to User A to let them know the issue with User B has been addressed and they have been instructed to cease asking/begging for Meesks and to inform us if User B reaches back out with the same agenda. If User B reaches back out to User A asking for Meesks again, I would, once again, contact them directly, this time issuing a strike for their actions. **If moderators aren't allowed to issue strikes, I would ask for an admin to step in for assistance! **
2. If the harassment is openly occurring within any channels on Discord I would send a simple message to the server reminding all users that it is against the rules to harass users and artists for Meesks of any kind. If the messages continue, I would then directly reach out to the user asking for Meesk once again reminding them that begging/asking for Meeks is against the rules. Depending on the strike chain, I would choose this moment to either issue them their first strike or give them a formal warning and inform them that if it happens again it will be their first strike (I would do the same for CS threads as well). **If moderators aren't allowed to issue strikes, I would ask for an admin to step in for assistance! **
Are you comfortable being in charge when no one else is online? :
Yes, as long as it is clear what I can/cannot do when an admin is unavailable!
Do you agree to follow all server rules, respect others, and use your powers for good? :
Yes!
