aisha was sitting on the couch as usual on her phone. if shes not shopping or out with someone its where
you'll usually find her. her mother, arielle walked in the door and aisha didn't even notice. "aisha?" she called.
aisha didn't even answer. arielle snatched the phone from aisha's hand. "cant you just live a day without it?"
she asked her. "just give it back" she told her. "ugh, young ones these days" arielle replied to herself returning it to aisha.

Write about them interacting with their favorite thing: harper sat down at his favorite coffee shop, his paws tingly as he waited. it was a small, cozy coffee shop, people of all ages smiled and talked, and it calmed him. about gen minutes went by, and harper was getting nervous. what if she flaked out? he kept going over the quiestion in his head, until he sighed with relief when a pretty girl walked in. her jacket was tied around her waist, her hair down, and a smile on her face. she hurried over to him, sitting across from him. "hello, brooklyn!"

Write about them interacting with their favorite thing:

A deep pot rattles now and then, bubbling happily and releasing hearty scents into the room. The counters have been cleared and scrubbed, a new loaf of bread rests in a bowl near the oven, and friends gather around a plate of cheeses at the broad work table off to the side. They laugh at a joke, teasing one another good-naturedly while Elara pulls a bottle of wine from the chiller. One of the friends makes a crack about the silly apron someone gave her for the last holiday, and she gives him an ear flick and a wide grin. Well, it IS a silly apron for her. All lace and delicate frills. The kettle begins to whistle on the stove, ready to provide hot tea for those not interested in harder drinks. This is her element, her favorite place, and she slides onto a stool while one of her friends checks the pot and pulls the kettle from the heat. Good friends gathered in a beautiful, working kitchen. She sighs in contentment and pours herself a stem of wine.

Write about them interacting with their favorite thing: cameron was silent, his foot tapping against the cold hard floor impatiently. it was a cold, rainy day, and he was getting bored. he yawned, checking the time. 4:38. his niece was supposed to be out of school an hour ago. he opened his arms wide when she saw her crying to him, and he hugged her tightly. "everything is fine. what happened?" he asked her worriedly. "i got nervous you wouldn't come to pick me up, so i started crying, then these boys came and helped me. i stayed another fifteen minutes waiting, but now you're here."

Workshop One - Writing Prompt

Prompt: Rai's a peculiar woman, and that's saying the very least. She's odd in her everything, in her lopsided gait, in her crocodile smile, in how she sees with her eyes closed and how she talks with her mouth shut. She's a magic trick, a switch that flickers unpredictably between the party animal with more than one trick up her sleeve, to the clown with the haunting breath. For the most part, Rai's presence fills up the room, she cannot be ignored and everything's indisputably different when she's around. She's a big creature, she can rattle even the quietest of Kalons, and with every movement she speaks so loudly, even when her sickeningly red and tangerine lips are closed. She can make you laugh, and she'll laugh with you, something that sounds like an unearthly rasping, almost a cough. She can make you cry, and she'll cry with you, spilling blood orange tears. Any emotion that chases her tail seems to cling to those around her. And although you have the right to be intimidated, she's still any other Kalon, at least, while the party's still running. She'll talk to you, share stories and dance with you. But beware, for she's also a trickster. What's the harm in having a little fun, she says? She loves to be puppet master at her parties, or at anyone's. Rai can drop of out sight so effortlessly, silently. Many wonder how could such a creature just disappear? It was as if the floor had swallowed her whole. But when she slips away, the energy still stays within the room, just long enough for her to grab her props--to move this here, there--to change this and that--and her trap is set. Many of her pranks are harmless, displaying her carefree, childish nature. Oh, and one more thing to be aware of. If you have pixy stixs on hand, she'll be at your side in a second. It's another one of her odd peculiarities. Pixy Stixs, who knew? It's a love story, Rai says. They're her favorite sweet and it's not uncommon to find her at her local market just to buy boxes of them. A couple of more quirks to share. Rai walks with an unbalanced limp, as if her back leg was broken, misaligned in some way. She always walks like this, and it only adds to her strange demeanor. Many assume it had to do with an injury when she was a young girl, but they do not wish to ask. Rai herself doesn't seem to care, or even notice. All in all, Rai's a mysterious woman, with unknown intentions, but her parties and stories never fail to amuse. Who knows what other tricks are hiding up her sleeves? Who knows what she has yet to reveal? And who knows what could be lying underneath that mask, that clown costume, that could be dying to come out?

Kalon Name: Devin Andrew Scott

Prompt:
Devin is a very "Go with the flow" kinda guy. Literally he basically rides the wave.
He will be serious at times but thats mostly when he's drumming. Devin can get d
cocky very easily and isn't afraid to show it. He gets annoyed easily and makes
sure everyone knows. Overall a weird dude. Though he is all of this he is a sweet
guy who tries to hard to be good at drumming but someone has to literally make him stop.

Write about them interacting with their favorite thing: (item, person, place, etc.)
Devin's favorite thing in the entire world is either his snare sticks or his snare.
They are always drumming and have to be forced to be stopped. While it makes
people worry it's his passion to drum his life away. He's always practicing. So much
he's snapped three pairs of sticks rather quickly which takes a full year if you practice
on and off.
