Hmm, this is a saltwater tank, I believe, so maybe the ocean area in the Bermuda Triangle. The duckweed is pretty out of place, since I don't think there's random patches of duckweed just floating around in the ocean, but let's just skim over that. The pink and purple coral also indicate that the shipwreck is near shore, but then again the coral is larger than the ship so we can glaze over that as well.

this jar reminds me of an apple orchard. it isn't a very famous orchard, known well only to those who live in the surrounding area, but it's been there for generations and is apart of the town's history.

the orchard sells apple cider and donuts, coming in cinnamon sugar and plain, as well as candy apples and tubes of flavored honey. the donuts are made fresh each day, and the leftovers are given out as 'duck donuts' - for only 50¢ a bag, you can buy two donuts to give to the ducks that live in a river on the property.

the main attraction of the orchard, however, are the apple trees. several acres of them surround the property and the fruit is made into all sorts of tasty treats. people of all ages go out to pick apples every fall and walk in the woods. the woods, made of of pine, oak, and maple trees primarily, almost merges into the orchard. the paths are overgrown and the ground is littered with acorns but the beautiful view makes up for it.

almost everyone has a story with the orchard: maybe going there as a child and climbing up the trees to get the reddest, highest apple. possibly it was your first date as a teenager or the place your fiancé proposed as an adult. the tradition might continue with you bringing your child into the orchard to buy tasty, warm donuts. when you get older, you could find yourself walking with your spouse of decades or young grandchildren.

the orchard isn't always at the front of everyone's minds in this sleepy old town, but it's always been there at it always will be.

based on a orchard/cider mill in my hometown
what’s up?

refresh for a new terrarium c:

This jar reminds me of the nature walk in my town. During the fall, all the trees change color and its so beautiful. The ground gets a layer of orange, red and yellow and the mushrooms sprout up from the soft ground. All the acorns, pinecones and other nuts fall from the trees and its always fun to step on the shells and twigs and crunch your way along the paths. The temperature is just right, a nice cool air the smell of rain. (which I like xp)

my terrarium reminds me of a beach.
unoriginal, yes, but a beach nonetheless.
a beach with lots of plants and fish.
grass grows out of the sand.
flowers lined up at the edge, the beachy
breeze making them dance.
kids will pick up flowers for their
loved ones, as they really do admire their
beauty.
they'll pick up crabs and shells galore,
but the most godlike item on this beach,
which is seeked by all who can seek..
is the rocks.
a bit odd, i know, but they're so shiny
and smooth, they're simply irresistible.
or so the beach-goers think.
some consider these babies to be their
prized positions, and are craved by many.
it is said that they are commonly found
by small animal skeletons, maybe animals
love them too, perhaps. enough to give up
a life.

Image This jar reminds me of a cave filled with lost treasures. They might not be what most people would call treasures, as they tend to not have much monetary value, but sometimes I imagine the value they had to their previous owner. The broken, rusted pocket-watch might have been one man's most prized possession. Or the tiny pearl that no longer glistens may have once sat on a woman's ring. Perhaps that ring or that pocket-watch was a gift from a loved one. And sometimes, amazing things happen in that cave. Little things, but amazing nonetheless. Despite the darkness, a dandelion seed that somehow found itself home on the cave floor once sprouted. It didn't live for very long, but when it did, it was a breathtaking sight to some.

Which jar of yours is the most fragile? Why?

Image

the pup has a heart of gold,
but will simply break if one single thing goes wrong.
she strives to be liked by everyone,
and if one person shows a bit of indecency toward her,
she'll fly to bits !
all she wants is a bit of love and care.

and as for the flowers, they'll wilt under a single touch.
they prefer to hide from the world than be seen;
very shy.
almost like a turtle,
if scared they'll hide in their shell.
they won't wilt forever, though.
just until they feel safe.

and the little mailbox carries things beyond mail.
things that us humans won't cherish as much as we should.
it carries love, which we underestimate.
and care, which we take for granted.
he wants to be understood.
just like everyone else.

i know you mean't fragile,
as in breakable..but i decided
to put a twist on it if that's okay.

Which jar of yours is the most fragile? Why?

While most of my jars might break - wreaths falling apart, glass breaking, decorations being thrown about - this tank is in a way the most fragile one, simply because it cannot be replaced. If it breaks, the plants and fish inside will die, the water will bring the sand with it, and the bubbler will spray water out of the tank. If the water is the wrong temperature, gets contaminated, or does not get changed regularly, everything inside could die as well, with the added nuisance of algae and plants growing on the glass and decor. Even if the tank just falls on its side, the contents will be spilled and damaged. While it is very much possible to get new plants and a new tank, the leafy seadragon is a rarity, and cannot easily be regained.

Even if a damaged tank were to be remade, the problem still persists: it's fragile, and any number of little things could break it or damage its contents.

Image This jar would be the most fragile of mine because it has the most life. Sure, it's not likely anything would shatter, but the plants could be stomped on or crushed. The branches of the bonsai could break off. And the partridge can feel pain. Worst of all, one day, everything but the soil and the pot itself will die. So long as they're not shattered, my snow globe and most of the contents of my florence flask could last forever. Life, on the other hand, cannot.
