For a long time Homestuck was my piece of comfort media - it would be years ago now, but I thought I may as well write about it! I remember getting really into the world, doing the extended zodiac quizzes and making troll OCs and all that; plus, the randomness of the humour just really appealed to me! I loved that it basically aimed to be as convoluted as possible for no real reason, and the funny little side comics that popped up were always a blast. The characters will always have a special place in my heart, I think - there's this one fanvideo set to the song "How Far We've Come" that literally makes me cry, oops. (I actually have a kalon slightly inspired by Homestuck! It's in her shine and her name, hehe.) But yeah - reading through Homestuck was such a unique and entertaining experience, and writing about it now has made me want to go back through it again but I definitely don't have the time for that currently!! Oh to be young and waste many hours in a massive online comic again <3

Chaos's ribbon he ties around his wrist beings him great comfort. He recieved it as the first payment he recieved for a job when he was still a mortal. Perhaps it makes him reminisce or maybe it's the knowledge of hiw far he has come from that little mortal child but nevertheless the ribbing bought him great comfort.

Prompt Response: An object that brings a lot of comfort to me would be my DS! I don't have the time to play it like I use to but I remember wasting away hours on it years ago during the summertime. I took that bad boy with me everywhere. I will stand by the fact that Ultra Sun/Moon were some of the best Pokemon games.

There's this glow in the dark dog keychain I have sitting on a shelf, I got it from my grandparents many years ago and I remember being so surprised seeing it glow since I had no clue! seeing it just brings back memories of being at their house and goofing around (and dropping another cute keychain and breaking that but we don't have to talk about it)

Prompt Response: My stuffed budgie plush, Pudge, has brought me a lot of comfort since I got him- at an aquarium of all places ! My cousin and I got matching plushies, mine blue and hers green, last summer, and Pudge has been the perfect cuddling companion on my bed the past ~year. He's super soft and just the right size for holding in my lap :3

One of my main comfort items at the moment is my sleeping eevee plush! I was given this stuffed animal by my boyfriend last year in the Fall. He had told me he had ordered one online for me and I was really excited, however when we gave it to me it was extra sweet. A few weeks prior I had to put my cat down as she was really old and in lots of pain due to arthritis and joint degeneration, and I was struggling with it. I was very sad and missed just being able to cuddle with her, and when my boyfriend gave me the eevee plush he told me it was so that I could have something to cuddle when I missed my cat. It was the sweetest thing and that is why it is my main comfort item at the moment. <3

Kinda newer I guess- but I watched the entirety of Naruto + Shippuden during the beginning of the pandemic and it really held me together and is always gonna be a source of happiness for me.

There’s something really fantastic about the Pirates of the Caribbean movies - the first especially, but all of them tbh. They were one of the things my friends and I obsessed over and learned every line, so now, every time I hear the music or see clips of the movies, it brings me back to carefree times reenacting the best moments while we were bored and full of middle-schooler energy. 😆
