response: Abhean was really tired of all this. He liked mysteries, yes, but he liked them because he found them so easy to solve: a few notes on his ocarina and whoever was in front of him would spit out the whole truth. This time, however, it was different, and frustration was bringing out the worst of him. His friendly mask was crumbling, and the deep hatred that smoldered within was beginning to emerge. In recent days, he had also completely given up talking to the other patrons of the tavern; he didn't want anyone to see that side of him.

To calm down a little, he decided to go and watch the water flowing at the fountain, hoping that the sacredness of the place would drive back the monster that was taking hold of him. As he walked toward the fountain, he also wandered through the streets, trying to relive the joy of the parade a few days earlier. But his gait was different. It was determined, angry, ready to smash anything that stood in his way, nothing like the slow, springy gait with which he had followed the streams of jubilant fables.
