A snap breaks the silence. This could only mean one thing, Earendel thought. There's someone else here. Not knowing whether it's an enemy or an ally, he faces the way from where the sound came. "Who goes there?" His voice shows no fear, as he believes that whatever made that sound should be afraid of him.
As I finish up my scavenging, I set off to return to my owner. I trot through the forest with joy! I've found so much candy, they sure would love a share! But as I go, I can hear strange noises behind me. I try to not think of it, perhaps its just the wind! But then, a twig snaps right behind me! I jerk my head back, I don't see anything.. I stand there to stare, and in a bush I see two scary eyes meet my gaze. I scream and take off to the sky! Flying as fast as I can! I flew out of the forest, only then would I land to catch my breath. I huff in relief that I wouldn't be eaten by some animal and I look down at my pumpkin pail. GASP !! ALL OF THE CANDY !! They must've spilled out of my pail in my panic! :[ Only a few pieces of candy remain, I guess I'll have to go back scavenging soon...

Cucur, for all their notably less experience in traversing places potentially filled with monsters, seems relatively unbothered. "Aww, chin up, Norman! I'm sure we'll find a way out of here. We got out of the Backrooms, didn't we?"
Norman deflates a little. Cucur hums. "I think you're too used to being in that place. We don't have anything like... uh. That up here. Unless this just so happens to be the one place on the entire planet that has The Scary Creatures."
Norman is not very reassured by this statement. "It's not like there's entities in every Backrooms level, either... but I guess you'd know more about the Frontrooms- Earth, whatever- than I would..."
"Exactly! You can trust me, don't worry." Cucur reassures. Norman gives xem an unimpressed look. "Ok maybe not on everything- But! On this! Probably. It'll be fine-"
Snap.
Cucur's head snaps to the direction they heard the noise, while Norman, hackles raised, immediately starts growling. The sound of static fills the air.
"Easy, buddy. Maybe whatever made that noise is friendly?" Cucur suggests.
"The first time we met you were trying to say 'hi' to a Smiler I don't think you get to decide these things anymore!" Norman hisses.
"Okay well!! I don't think this situation is that dire-" Cucur starts, only to be cut off by Norman. "Don't care we are going! Let's not die today okay come on!
Norman pauses only for a moment to make sure Cucur is actually going to follow xem instead of being a stupid idiot again, promptly heave a sigh of relief when Cucur does, in fact, start following them, and then they're both sprinting off into the swamp.
...
"I think we're just going deeper into the swamp-"
"Shush!!!"
"Yep okay you got it!"
DAY 1 CONCLUSION
hmm... after investigating, the noise was merely nothing. Strange, but you're still very alert...

DAY 2 is up on the front page!

having already set up a fire from yesterdays... events...
wilson decides it is best to just settle down here for the
night, being a bit more careful with his footing this time.
he sits down by the fire, watching the flames as they
twist and warp the darkness surrounding him. with
nothing left to do, he decides to face his fears and
extinguish the fire. he then flops onto his back and
stares up at the many twinkling stars in the sky.
it almost feels like home.β¨

I would love to just play in the water since I am usually the most comfortable there. I love building little houses under the water out of stones and moss I can find for all the fish to go in and out or even rest comfortably in. Just watching them most of the time is actually quite fun! Do you know how many fish are usually in one area of a river? I didn't either til I counted them! I don't want to spoil the surprise for you, of finding out for yourself.*whispering* It's at least 75 last I counted, but there was so many and they were always darting around. So could be wrong haha Wanna check it out?
