Dead silent, Gakt stayed aside and away from the other goobies as they all crowded around Marcus and the spirit box held in his hands. They all took their turns to ask questions in hopes of getting an answer. All while Gakt took detailed notes on what happened. He was ready to listen out for answers from the ghost!
First, he starts to write down the questions that various goobies had been asking the ghostly goobie. The, he notes down if the ghost had replied to them or not. The final thing he took down was what the ghost said in reply to the asked questions. At the same time, Gakt had began to come to his own conclusion on what was happening around them.
And who knows? These notes of his may come in handy at some time in the future. Maybe not to this group but perhaps to Ryou.
The good thing to know out of all of this was that the ghost didn't act like they hated it here or as if they were being held against their will. Hell, they even said themself that they enjoyed it here and had been living here for a good long while. That must mean they enjoy it a lot here.
Perhaps that was why they had stayed for the decades that they said? Because they liked it here so much? or was there some far more sinister thing at work here? Something that was keeping the ghost from passing over?
Whatever other questions may have been floating around inside Gakt's head were soon quickly forgotten. Gakt watched with wide, excited eyes as Lucas produced an Ouija board from inside his bag.
Gakt gasped softly to himself at the sight of it. He had listen to Ryou, his current teacher about all things ghosts and paranormal, explain to him about Ouija boards. Many things like how to use them safely and how to be able to communicate with ghosts using them. He had also seen Ryou's board but he had never really gotten the chance to use or see one working for real.
Tonight was the night that changed for sure. No way was he sitting back to watch this time. No, Gakt was ready to ask questions the moment the chance was given to him. Already up and waiting for his turn to ask something.
As soon as it's his turn to try he steps forwards to the board and tries his best to get the ghost to reply. "You've said that you enjoy it here but have you ever thought about leaving?" That was something he wanted to know. Was the spirit still here because it didn't want to leave or because it couldn't? "Or are you here because you're being forced to stay?"
Either way, he wanted to get to the root of this haunting and maybe even be able to help some of the ghosts at this hotel deal with their unfinished business. That would be his ultimate goals for the duration of his stay.
