lielac stands rigid as the gobbess... apologises? how absurd! she tilts her head, tentacles gently smacking at her lower front legs as she thinks.

she doesnt know if this was true. she didnt know if she was lying or telling the truth. the events of the past year were hectic and all over the place, which was usually her kind of style, but not at all like this!!

"i dont know!" she wails to nobody in particular, throwing her head back in a frustrated cry, "i dont know if shes lying or telling the truth!! how are we meant to know?!"

once again, she demands this to nobody in particular and she huffs as she sways. darn, this situation really tabled the turns, and turn itself upon its head! Ugh! How frustrating, not to know what to do!

lielac begins to look over at the other goobies flanking her side and she frowns. what did everyone else think about this sudden news-worthy development?! surely she wasnt alone in this predicament?!

"Apologize?" Comon whispered, confused.
Hooves snarled his lip in silent disgust.
"Just now? After so long?" Criticized Veen, venom dripping from her words.
"After so long...
Thats sort of sketchy ain't it?" Sugar brought up.
"Counterpoint, maybe she hadn't done it out of.. fear? Maybe like- denial, that's the word." Phone said, still worried.
"Well, denial is possible, but she's clearly injured right now, she could be lying to get some sort of favour."
"Funko thats- actually pretty possible, how'd ypu come up with that?? I thought you lacked several braincells." Tangerine said playfully, trying to bring up the mood.
Funko rolled his eyes with a smile.
"Uhm. Videogame and series plots??? Sometimes they do this."
Comon snorted "Of course you did. Of course you got it from that."
They both chuckled lightly, for a moment forgetting their surroundings.
"Ey lovebirds, not to break your moment but what are we going to do about um, you know, HER??????" Hooves remarked, whisper-screaming while he pointed at the gobbess.
Veen cut in, having the most braincells out of the group of airheads. "I think it's more of a question of what Jystyr will do. It isn't our place to interfere, i believe this was originally between them."
"Thats fair thats fair, should we just sit back then?" Phone questioned, looking over quickly at Jystyr nervously.
"Definitely, just cautiously watch for now. Keep our guards up, you know?"
"Alright alright, i think we're pretty used to that, simple enough." Sugar said, their siblings nodding at the implications

Comon and Phone ever so slightly flinched over the reminder of that. If it was noticed, no one said anything about it.
Funko did press slightly more onto Comon's shoulder, standing closely.

Veen sighed, "I just wanted to go out and have fun."

They all really hoped it was true, and not just a scheme.
Not a lie.
But the thought was still there.
She's a liar, isn't she?

Juno sat there in both shock and awe, overseeing the whole ordeal and staring at the gobbess, taking in her beauty in real-time. She didn't know what to expect at first when the gobbess' name was thrown around in quiet mumbles, but what she saw was so much better than what she could've ever expected. As Juno didn't even know of the gobbess prior to today, she couldn't exactly tell if she was lying or not but, from what she knew from Brookstowne, it seemed like she was being genuine... Brookstowne and it's people was very different to those here at the event... could her only really knowing those from Brookstowne and other surrounding towns hinder how she thought about the gobbess? Surely not... right?

Ugin found herself hissing low, as she watched the scene unfold. Several spirits seemed to catch onto this, protectively making their way towards her. Ready to aid if things should go awry. They swirled around her body, her face, even as she found herself tucking in beside Jystyr. "I... don;t believe her," she admits, looking up at the gob. "She is... I think she is saying what we want to hear so that we will help her. She knows the stars listen to you and well..." Ugin gestured at the stars that seemed to be injuring the gobbess.

"Why after all of this time would she apologize now?" She wrote her words with determined speed, feeling... somehow afraid and yet protective all at the same time. She did not know Jystyr well... but he had protected them. All of them. And he genuinely seemed like a nice guy, something this world needed more of.

When she looked at the gobbess, even injured, Ugin felt nothing but fear. The gobbess had made the hole she now resided in, after all, and now she must live with those consequences. All the same, Ugin looked at Jystyr again. "Do what you feel is right... and know that you will not stand alone as you do so." As terrified as Ugin was.. she also knew the power of allies and friends. Jystyr would not have to fave the gobbess alone.

bootes is quick to leap forward into the action, panic running through her veins as she scoops up goo amongst her paws and pathetically attempts to hurl it towards the gob. she doesn't know what was happening, she doesn't know where adeline was- where devin was- she was freaking out, heart hammering in her chest.

she feels *wrong* for throwing goo at this gob, the gob that she's heard so much about from her girlfriend? her *wife*? and now all of a sudden everyone was once again divided, beginning fights by throwing what they were made off, membrane splatting everywhere. bootes slips down with a whine as she desperately hunts for goo again, before her eyes catch sight of chorus.

...CHORUS?!

the little goo was weakly throwing goo into the air, not quite understanding the situation but trying to aim for the gob anyway. bootes frets, because adeline will kill the both of them if chorus gets hurt or goes missing, so she dives forward and pulls her daughter to her chest, head dipping as goo flies overhead before yelping as one lands directly near her feet.

in an effort, she swings chorus onto her back, ignoring the yelp from her young, and she bounds away to find more goo. if anything, she's doing this in a last ditch effort to protect whoever she could. this was happening for a reason, surely, so throwing goo at the gob couldn't be that bad!

bootes runs to pick up goo that has missed both the gob and the gobbess, hauling it frantically at diabs around her as she tries to find a safe space for her and chorus to recover before she trips over a tiny, blue-and-white agel with flowers springing from their pelt. "bootes is sorry!" she exclaims before continuing onward, breath heavy, continuing to (attempt) to fire at the gob where she could as chorus clambers onto her head and does the same.
