CHALLENGE 6
Chibify-Simplify Day!

"Aaand cut!" Frenchie holds your drawing up triumphantly. He pauses a moment, and then, "O-oh, it was an 'action' joke, haha... uh, um well, anyways." He clears his throat, flashing a sheepish smile and then eagerly places your work underneath the 'Challenge 5' sign. "You've been doing excellent with these, by the way! Now, hm, one thing that I find helpful is learning how to simplify. Sometimes certain mediums won't allow us the smoothest gradients or tiniest detail. It's a bit of a skill to learn how to condense something complex, especially complicated designs or patterns. So, today's challenge is an exercise in simplifying without losing the spirit of the subject. We will need one single fullbody—but this time, a chibi!"

Challenge 6 is a full body CHIBI of any of your lambicorns!
Chibis are fairly popular around these parts, but if you aren't sure—think bobblehead or even POP! figure style.

The goal of this exercise is to simplify a complex pattern, gradient or other "difficult" element on a lambicorn.
If you're already comfortable with simplifying patterns, then pick a different element (maybe a wing or robotic part etc)
And preferably pick a lambie who doesn't have any artwork yet! Show them some love. <3

This must be a NEW creation! No "recycled" art allowed!
Take this opportunity to practice your skills or try something new. ^^

Remember, this is not a sketch or lineart challenge, so whichever you choose please make sure it's colored in fully.

This CAN be traditional or digita media!
*If you do it traditionally, please try to take a clear enough picture of the work ONLY (no background stuff if possible please) or scan it in. If it's so small or low-lighting that I can't tell what it is, it may not count!

Here is an example chibi fullbody with Blixie below!
Notice there are no soft gradients—I chose to eliminate all gradients for my chibi exercise and try to get a similar effect.
This exercise is not looking for you to match patterns or design perfectly. It's a chance to practice a difficult design or element(s) on a more condensed space (the chibi).

Some Tips:
Zoom a good bit out from your original lambie and see if you can tell what stands out and is "important" to the design.

If you have a lamb with lots of tiny detail, opt for fewer but larger details to get a similar point across.

For removing gradients, zoom out, note what colors you see more than others and prioritize them with in-between colors.

Don't be afraid to fake it a bit! Their hair tuft does not need to be EXACT for example—experiment a bit! ^^
