Redwood Valley Equestrian Centre is pleased to announce the winners of this week's competition!
Dressage was once again the most competitive of the disciplines, and the nine competitors were sure to give the competition their all. It was ultimately SNG Winner Either Way who pulled out on top, stunning the crowd with her nearly flawless movements and brilliant attitude. MHA Spaniel of a Dream took second place, with only her conformation holding her back, but it was discovered after the competition that she had injured herself and would need to rest for four days. She was subsequently withdrawn from the other competitions and her owner was charged a vet bill of 140c. TRRA Dagworth Maestro was third, although he had originally been thought to be taking second place; unfortunately, it was a rider error that held him back, and his apparent willingness made him all too susceptible. In fourth place was BH Aurora Borealis, who offered a lovely round and simply didn't do as well because of her conformation, and in fifth was MR Moonlight Vesperae, who would have otherwise tied with BH Aurora Borealis if not for an unfortunate bolt that just barely caught the judge's eye. Close behind MR Moonlight Vesperae in sixth was MR Iconic Voutia, who had also had his performance clipped by a rider error, much to the disappointment of those in the stands. Seventh place was taken by MR Tenebris Glory, who had been slightly affected by yet another rider error, and in eighth place was The Road to Salvation, who had also been drastically affected by his rider's mistake. Finally, in ninth place was Réalta san Oíche, who had surprisingly decided to throw in a buck at the very beginning of his performance, much to the judge's horror.
Cross-country was up next, with MHA Spaniel of a Dream unfortunately withdrawn due to an injury, and MR Tenebris Glory excelled in the discipline to win first place; only a slight trip marred his performance. MR Iconic Voutia and MR Moonlight Vesperae were right behind him, with their times simply being just that much longer, and they both took home second place without any events.
Next was western pleasure, and ultimately BH Ain't No Budweiser Clyde took home first place, with an uneventful round save a slight trip while turning a corner. Cinniúint Óir was closely in second place, only held back by her conformation which didn't enable her to perform the paces quite as well as BH Ain't No Budweiser Clyde was able to demonstrate. In third place was BH Whiskey Rebel, also at a disadvantage simply because of her conformation, and in fourth was Dune Jumper, also giving a round without event.
Driving followed, and HWF's City of Dreaming Spires was high above the rest with an uneventful and elegant round that turned the heads of everyone in the vicinity. BH Waiting for Romeo came in second, simply held back by his conformation, and Heron Zephyrus came in third, redeeming himself from his earlier fall during the last driving competition. Fourth place was tied between MHA Delilah Looks So Pretty and MHA Once A Dream, the former of which tripped and stumbled badly enough to catch the judge's eye and the latter of which managed to injure herself. She would be out for ten days, earning her owner a vet bill of 80c.
Jumpers was up next, and MR Tenebris Glory ultimately took first place, despite a rider error, after a jump-off with MR Iconic Voutia. The latter had had an uneventful round but simply couldn't match the Percheron's speed and power, which ultimately landed in him second place. Baywatch Mystery was in third place, with a trip causing him to lose precious seconds during the round, and MR Moonlight Vesperae was fourth, as a small rear had resulted in a loss of time during the round.
Hunters was the following competition, and Sierra Watcher took the show by storm despite her disobedience at one of the jumps. RVEC's Bluegrass Tunes came in second, giving a round without event, and Mountainside Rush was third, though she would have placed higher if not for a late lead change that the judges simply couldn't overlook.
Three-day eventing had enough competitors that both a level I and level II show were able to be hosted, much to the delight of everyone watching. TRRA Dagworth Maestro ultimately won the level I round, with flawless rounds save his jumping, in which he was held back once more by a rider error. Fortunately, he was able to overcome it and take home first place. MR Tenebris Glory was in second place, and he managed to both lose a shoe and injure himself -- once during jumpers, once during cross-country -- earning his owner a vet bill of 155c and himself a recovery time of eleven days. MR Moonlight Vesperae came in third, bucking once in jumpers and enduring a rider error in cross-country, but ultimately scoring high enough to place well in the competition. Unfortunately for MR Iconic Voutia, he was having a lovely show until a fall in cross-country disqualified him from the round, and he could only take home forth.
In the level II round of eventing, Murkwater Blizzard came in first place, despite being plagued by three rider errors and overcoming each one of them. Chestnut Wonderland came in second place, her only fault being a knocked jump in cross-country, which effectively slowed her down just enough to secure her position. RVEC's Halfway Kid came in third, all rounds without event and the horse simply held back by his conformation.

Feels good to get that all finished ^^ Just wanted to let you guys know that next I would be introducing Memorial Trophies and ring dedications, so if there's a horse on the sim that has either been an exceptional shower, an exceptional trainer, an exceptional horse, or has passed away (we don't have any of those yet), you can PM me and request that your horse be memorialized in a trophy and tell me what the trophy would be given for (a horse who has excelled despite certain setbacks such as attitude, the horse with the best coat, the best personality, a horse with a breed that would have otherwise done poorly in the discipline, etc.) and I'll decide whether I'd like to have a trophy set up for that c: Congrats to all our winners!
