The music was simple and lively, various instruments lined up as those who were decent at playing them gave them a whirl. You had cats from every clan here to celebrate, dancing lively in the middle inside the large tree trunk they called home. Elowyn and her familiar, Newton, were prancing about the room to the beat of the music, encouraging young and shy kits to come participate in the festivities. On the lyre, a young grey tabby was plucking about, tapping a paw on the ground as they helped make beautiful music for everyone that came to join in on the fun.

Wrensong is screaming her heart out, while Brackenpatch and Rainfall sit quietly in the corner, not fighting for once. Rabbittail has the best dance moves; they previously lived with twolegs so Snownose figured it made sense. Ravenstar quietly watched over the clan, while Mistfeather and Thundersmoke chatted. Sunflowerdance and Tulipdance cheered Rabbittail on, before getting distracted by loud crashing noises. Snowdance turned her head directly toward where her brother had been two seconds prior. Rainfall had pinned the younger warrior down, clearly upset about something the stupid tom had said. Sunflowerdance dashed over and dragged Rainfall off while Snownose held her brother back. "What in StarClan did you do, you fuzzbrain?" She questioned her brother, clearly annoyed at his continued childish behavior.
"I may or may not have put mouse bile-," he got cut off by Rainfall speaking up.
"The furbrain stuck mouse bile in my nest and where I was sitting! I thought he had finally grown up, too." The older warrior grumbled before being led off by Sunflowerdance and Tulipdance to build a new nest and get cleaned up.

It was moonhigh and the rest of the clan was asleep. Snownose sighed. The clan couldn't even have a fun night without Brackenpatch causing some form of chaos. Snownose wondered how she was related to him before heading back into the medicine den.

↬ prompt: Music is quite popular in the castle and the territories surrounding it, for the fact that songs have multiple meanings for the cats living there.

Songs can refer to both live music sung and played by the cats there, but songs can also refer to stories often told by the lords and bards. Both main forms of songs are traditions that bring the groups together, for everyone to enjoy. Story songs are often enjoyed in quiet by those listening, as to not interrupt the speaker. There have been plenty of times where curious minds asked questions throughout, or even hopped in to help lead the story. These songs are held anywhere anytime, and can range from a bards simple whistling tune to full fledged legends.

Music song performances are often held at larger events, such as gatherings or feasts, for the amount of planning larger ones take. This isn't always the case, as cats have been known to break into some good natured songs with their friends at any moment. Instruments are made from scavenged items ranging from sticks to leather bound items, though cats will usually just grab whatever they can find to make some noise. Cats of all ages and ranks will join in the singing, no matter their singing voice. It's about enjoying the energy and company of each other, and of course, some dancing!!

Just recently, the cats of the round table celebrated the first snowfall with some dancing and sung music. The song of the night was Torches (by the oh hellos), almost everyone who wasn't playing something could be seen doing some fun prancing jives or stomping their paws to the upbeat tune!! It got a bit chaotic but so energized when everybody yowled in unison, 'lets spin it around!!' from the chorus. Cheerful laughter erupted after, even from the most grumpy of felines.

The ship is almost always filled with the sound of music and cats singing during the winter festival, especially during the evenings, after chores were completed and the only light to see by was the moon and the flickering lanterns on board. There are a few particular favorites for the crew, especially when it comes to dancing, they're always shanties that are bright and have a good beat to them- something that every cat knows and can sing along to. Though they like to sing more traditional Christmas songs as well, even if their holidays are different. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree would be the Christmas carol they'd be singing, and they'd have plenty of cats dancing, even if it's a bit slower than the usual songs they sing. Haddock would have the best dance moves, though part of it would be the fact that she'd get her dad to dance with her, and he never takes part in the dancing (Lion's Mane is a huge help with convincing him). Scallop and Ember are a close second as they dance together though, both are so happy and it makes everybody that watches them just as happy. The only mishap to happen is when Starfollower and Dawn accidentally knock over a lantern as they try to drag Star's Calling out to dance with them, thankfully there was no damage done except some new scorch marks to give the ship some personality.

↬ prompt: it would likely be a normal christmas party at first, with everyone mingling with their own groups and dancing with their partners. that is, however, until someone sneaks over to the dj booth and puts on the dreaded "all i want for christmas" and runs off into the crowd. cue people freaking out because that wasnt on the playylist - they had all agreed beforehand they would not play that song. some cats would try to run over to the music player and turn it off, some would sit there accusing others of turning it on and then there's the one group who are dancing to the song. ironically or uniroinically? whos to say-

↬ prompt: perhaps one of the most serene of scenes would be that of the eternal courtship of full moon and night. a love story told by time, these two don’t know much about music or dancing but they know that they enjoy going for an icy swim under the moonlight, just the two of them, as their love was scorned by tradition long ago. they seem to dance around each other in the water while nature plays a private melody for them.

as they splashed about full moon often plays a little too rough for the much for the molly, splashing and giggling until she gets a frog caught in her mouth and a lily pad on her head. the tom often has to spend the rest of the evening picking flowers and presenting them to her as apology as he knew well that she hated frogs.
