He compliments the winter traveler on his endurance and tenacity to continue through the areas, facing all kinds of challenges from weather to beasts, all so that he can seek out the clans and ask them to spread compliments to each other.

↬ prompt: dewpad took this opportunity to compliment redheart on her hunting skills despite her missing limb, though getting flustered in the processes of mentioning, as well as the addition of the molly’s attentive eyes now on them. it took the young molly a while to get through her long list of admirations for the hunter from her fur color to the way she laughed. dewpad held her gaze through the confession and was very proud of herself though her ears burned red hot by the time she finished.

she paused for a moment, pondering, before her face promptly flushed and her eyes widened slightly. "um. a-asterblush.."

the pastel feline's eyes flicked to meadowshine as she watched with her head tilted from across the bonfire, interest piqued. "s-she's just really pretty! and sweet. and very... huggable?" this elicited a few chuckles from the crowd. a small, amused smile grew on aster's face. they waited patiently until meadowshine raised her head from its ducked position and locked eyes, peach and jade in an eternal tango, before mouthing "i think you're sweet too." their smirk was fully visible in their expression, knowing full well that she was the only one who would receive this message; it would drive her crazy.

and who knows? aster's parents had met under the mistletoe... perhaps a little christmas cheer was needed this year too?

↬ prompt: It's no secret that Frederick thinks Thistlestar is too uptight and a bit too egotistical. When Frederick started his turn and decided to compliment the leader, the other cats thought that he'd compliment his fishing, or swimming, or something else skill-based. Instead, Fred thought for a second and then said, "He's fiercely loyal, and genuinely cares about his Clan. I didn't think he'd even be on board with Christmas at all, since he really dislikes everything Twoleg-related, but he started celebrating it anyway because he knew it'd make me feel more at home! Thanks for being a good friend, Thistlestar."

The leader hadn't expected such a heartfelt compliment, and was a little taken aback. At first he said nothing, simply staring with a surprised expression, but then he realized all eyes were on him and quickly stuttered out, "O-oh, thanks for the compliment, and uh, no problem."
