Prompt: Coal? Any cats in Clan Ember? Neeever! Well, Crowcall came close, seeing as how that kit is always getting into trouble! And Tuxedopaw... well... their secrets also had them close to getting coal! But in truth, in the end, every cat had done their part and mostly behaved this year so treats all around!

Well, Seastar would determine who got the presents and who got the coal. So, obviously, for starters, Goldenblossom would get coal for many reasons. One being that she is extremely rambunctious, and two, if she got presents then it would encourage her to act the same way next year, which would mean a lot more falling on her nose. However, the Healer Apprentice's mentor Mapleheart would get at least one pile of presents for all her hard work and effort she puts towards her job. Mistyshine, Acornfleck, and Blazewhisker would all get presents for being amazing Warriors. Coalheart, though, would get some coal due to a recent incident where she ran a rabbit up a tree and hobbling after it, snapping the tree and losing the rabbit at the same time. The rest of the Warriors, including silly Lavenderlight would all get presents as well.

Finchflight would get coal, as he's been extra grumpy to the kits and apprentices lately. Redfang might be some coal, and some presents, as he's toned down the whole 'I consume the soul of my prey' thing, but you never know! The Gatherers would also get presents, except maybe Casper, since he did wash his nasty Twoleg socks in the Lagoon.

“…So does anyone know why Willowmask wants this stuff?”

The voice was Crabapple’s, the molly holding a chunk of charred wood in her mouth with obvious distaste.
“I mean, it doesn’t taste good, and it’s getting all over my fur; look how dirty I am!” she complained, looking over at her other companions.

“All over yours? Look at me!” Wintersmith chimed in, gesturing to their white fur, now stained a deep grey with the messy dust.

“Come on now, you two,” Kelpfloat interjected, swishing eir tail as ey pushed past the two warriors. “It’s charcoal, not a rotten fish. And we need it for medicine; Willowmask says that if you eat something poisonous, this saves you. Isn’t that worth some mess?”

Crabapple and Wintersmith looked at each other, blinking; given Willowmask’s odd ways, neither had actually considered that the coal they carried was actually something useful. Swallowing their complaints—and some charcoal dust—the two warriors followed after Kelpfloat, leaving grey-and-black trails through the snow.

Moosestar would love to say that all of their cats deserve nice presents and that none of them got coal, but that wasn't the exact truth. Hawkstrike, Foxwatcher, and Braveflight all got coal. Hawkstrike and Foxwatcher got coal based mostly on their bickering and the fights they would pick with each other- even if most of them were actually just good-hearted sparring. And Braveflight got coal for just how much he complained about everything this holiday season and refused to help because he 'didnt want to ruin his beautiful mane'. But the rest of the clan got little presents, ranging from prey to soft things for their nests and little accessories. And herbs of course for the cats that had asked for them.

rabbit probably got coal for being the most stuck-up cat in the clan, sticking out like a sore thumb on occasion due to her contrasting personality with the rest of the clan mates. as for the cat who got the most presents it would likely be sashimi. while he is aloof and can sometimes make the wrong decision he has a heart of gold and only hopes for the best for his clanmates and any other cat he might come across.

team essense stares the the large, paw-shaped fabric in thinly veiled fear. what does it mean? they collectively ask; is it a trick, a gift... an apology? but lasa'archiea is a cruel goddess. she would never apologize, even if it's an apology or the end of time.

"energie... have you done anything insane recently?"

through the reil, energie replies, nothing that would condone a gift from our lady herself...

Most cats of Khafra received particularly nice gifts in their stockings this year. Unfortunately, there seems to be one or two who received coal...one being a rather arrogant soldier, the other being a particularly rude cat of Sahar. These two now look on in jealous - or disgust - as the opposing felines enjoy their gifts. Some try to reason with them, while others merely look on with sheepish grins. Perhaps they can help them get good gifts next year.

Most on the island would reasonably be considered "good", receiving presents, although there are a few exceptions:
-The Anomalies in the L Corp subterritory, although they generally don't have any concept of "naughty or nice". They would eat the coal, though.
-Kali definitely received coal, due to her actions resulting in the death of Meteorite.
-Frigate, by extension of Kali.
-Siren's Gale, due to stealing one of the Veil children and pretending she was part of the Galleon all along.
Eyeris certainly hopes that this keeps up - if everyone was goodie goodie, it would get more boring...

Prompt: Most of the cats in MistClan got good presents or gifts in their stockings. The one cat who did not get anything good was Cometflame, that traitor for the Fire kingdom did not get anything besides a huge hunk of old coal. Cometflame was not happy with this but she did get what she had deserved.
