Pitaya always appears rather aloof on the surface, but in reality she's just a little shy - and social interaction doesn't come to her naturally. She tends to stay quiet when in groups, and can talk to slugs if she must, but often appears cold and doesn't go out of her way to do it. And yet, if you strike up a conversation about something she likes, you'll soon notice she has a lot of nice things to say despite the cold front, and is a really good listener!

Her best friend is a sluggum named Apple Juice, a bouncy and eccentric little creature that doesn't quite understand how society works, but is surprisingly good at making friends. They're excited at everything (even super mundane things), very easy to talk to, and likes striking up conversations about whatever's on their mind.. just sometimes at inappropriate times. Pitaya often has to stop her.

Lemonade isn't the best at interacting with others, they're a little shy and just generally don't know what to say. They prefer to just be around others without doing much of the speaking which can get awkward sometimes.
It makes it more difficult to have many friends, but they do still have a few that they hang out with all of the time, including Keylime!
Maybe they have enemies too, but if they do it probably wasn't on purpose...

rebel really only has one close friend, one that they owe being able to go out and talk to other sluggums at all. but they do have some other friends, acquaintances, is somewhat friendly with neighbors but extremely shy, skittish even, around humans! when it comes to foes, they very much do not like certain sluggums that they think are *too* outgoing for their taste and aren't very kind about their introverted tendencies. which, may or may not be true at all; rebel isn't very reliable when it comes to trusting others and telling the objective truth when portraying their experiences. anyway, they can always count on the small group of friends they do have for support, comfort and fun. if they're down for going out at all, that is!

Eun is always chatting with others! From the cranky old mailman to the classy gal next-door, Eun seems to know everyone around. He seems to know just what to say, making conversation look natural as he guides you through the latest gossip floating around. Hana, Eun's life partner, always watches with worry when Eun is chatting too long. Many assume it's because she worries Eun will get himself into trouble – as he often does – but she brushes off their words.
By the time Eun has made it to Hana's volcanic home, he is the picture of a happy extrovert. Hana only sighs, allowing Eun inside as she begins to guide their own conversations, a slow ebb and flow as Eun simmers down.
Hana has always been the more social one in their union, after all.

Vidia tends to stick to herself. It's not that she dislikes being around others, but it definitely does make her a little uncomfortable and she always feels a bit awkward. She's heard from others that she comes off a bit cold and has decided that it would be easier to hang out with herself than risk hurting others feelings. Her favorite way to spend time by herself is by snuggling on the couch with an old movie (her favorite is horror) and munching on some snacks while drinking iced tea.

Despite their angry face and apparent demeanor, Enfys tends to get along well with other sluggums and sea creatures. They generally have a friendly demeanor with others and tend to do well with holding a conversation. They actually have a few friends and no foes. No foes except for their tails. Enfys' true issue is always their tails. The chatty tails like to make fun of and poke at Enfys. When Enfys is having a nice conversation with a friend/acquaintance, the tails might speak up to tell some embarrassing story of Enfys. Despite everything the tails do, Enfys doesn't know how to quiet them down. Thankfully, the tails can be useful for holding and carrying things. (117 words)

Ori has so many friends! They're easily one of the most popular slugs in the reef - they're known for their big parties after all, or organising smaller events for shy slugs, or big neighbourhood hangouts! Sometimes people ask them if they actually have friends, or just 'people they know', but Ori is always surprised by the question. To them, everyone is a friend until proven otherwise!
