bellatrix stepped into the line eager to see if the knocking was real. upon entering the closet she heard a brief tap before further silence. however, anygoo could have done that, whos to say it was a ghost? she wanted to find proof of ghosts but would only accept solid evidence.
'shivers? whos to say she wasn't just cold?' bellatrix thought to herself letting out a huff, seems like the guide just wanted to scare them.

"I mean I don't see why she would be lying since we're already here exploring!" Anokhi commented, a few adventurers agreeing. Some seemed skeptical of the hotel employee. How come she didn't know about the history of the hotel? Or did she know about it and wanted to have us find out for ourselves? Whatever her plans were, we had many more rooms and floors to explore!

Once the group set back off on their exploration, they reached the sixth floor. The floor home to one of the hotel's most haunted rooms, room 642. "It is said to be the room that a goobie by the name of Winchester always booked..." Lucas started, a few pairs of eyes widening at the thought of the situation. "Now, it's rumored that she always booked this room. We don't know that for sure of course!" Marcus butted in. A few goobies seemed eager to enter the room, others visually shaking in their boots.

As the group entered the room, they instantly got a chill down their spines. Wisteria really wasn't kidding when she said she got chills on this floor! Or maybe the thermostat is just set to a lower temp... Once the group all piled into the suite, Marcus pulled out a paranormal device... The device was a spirit box! A familiar device to those who were apart of the last exhibition. Those who were apart of the last group whispered amongst themselves, talking about their past experience. "Oh not that dumb thing!" Lucas commented, obvious that he had a hatred for the device. "What's wrong with the spirit box, Lucas?" Marcus giggled. "Its just too dang loud! My poor ears..." He said, petting his ears. "Well screw your ears, we're using it! Everyone who has sensitive ears like this dummy, cover your ears for a second!" After a few goobies covered their ears, Marcus turned the device on. Having recovered, Lucas talked about the device. "This device can help us communicate with Winchester! It can say some funny things, so prepare yourselves..." After a few questions were asked, they hadn't had any responses... They were about to give up but they got a response! "Winchester... If you're here.. Do you want to be contacted?" A group member asked, silence carried afterwards...

"I ... don't ... mind"

Alistaire watched with curiosity as Marcus held up the spirit box, its humming filling the room along with the clamor of the group as they began to ask questions. While some of the group didn't seem to place much merit in spiritual devices like this one, Alistaire was of the mind that they could indeed be used to communicate with ghosts and spirits.

Upon hearing Winchester's voice come through the spirit box, Alistaire's ear twitched as he pondered just what question to ask the spirit next. "I'm curious... why is this hotel haunted?" He questioned, taking a look around the hotel room... it was quite cold in here, but with no thermostat in sight. The curtains were tattered and age-worn, a fine layer of dust over the unused furniture. The longer he looked, the more he felt that perhaps this investigation would be fruitful. Perhaps Winchester would be able to tell them more about this place, and if there were any other friendly spirits here...

amaryllis was very excited to try and talk to the spirit with the spirit box. she had remembered using one a couple of times last year, and sometimes there had even seemed to be a response back. amaryllis had complete faith in this little object, and so hopefully this year wouldn't disappoint.

the goobie started to shiver. it was much colder in here than she had expected. amaryllis was very used to the warm sunshine wherever she went, and so a cold, dark room was a very unusual spot for amaryllis to be in.

once the spirit box was done warming up, everyone started to try and speak to Winchester at once. there was no answer at first, but eventually the spirit answered the question of if she wanted to be contacted with, "i don't mind".

winchester seemed to be nice so far, and so amaryllis decided to go straight to the first question she thought of. "how long have you been haunting this room?" she asked.

prompt answer ; oakley hoped with everything in him that the spirit was friendly. maybe ghosts aren’t scary after all, maybe they’re just lonely? he shivered, attempting to suppress his fear. if he kept telling himself that, maybe he could be braver. despite this, the spirit box terrified him right down to his bones.

There was so much exploring to be had in this hotel and Gakt was ready and excited for every second of it. He was taking tons of photos of everything and writing down anything that was interesting to him about this hotel as they trekked their way up to the sixth floor where their next adventure awaited them. He was so ready to find a ghost up there.

Apparently, it was the hotels most haunted room out of the whole building. If that didn't sound promising then nothing would. This would for sure be the place that they'd find something paranormal in. Maybe they'd even be able to get evidence of something being in there, too.

They all then came to room 642 and stopped outside. Gakt looked at the door in awe as he listed to Lucas explain the situation to everyone in their group. The sound of this Winchester goobie was interesting and he found himself wanting to find out more about them. Maybe that would be the key to finding the ghosts? Maybe he could do some more research into this goobie at a later date and then return on his own.

Gakt was with the group of eager goobies who first entered into the room as others cowered and stayed behind. He was not scared at all. In fact, he loved this and wanted nothing more than to have the ghost show up. The chill that went down his spine did nothing to freeze his enthusiasm. Instead, spurring him on further to try harder for the spirit.

This also meant that the Goobie at the front desk hadn't been lying to them! She could be trusted as a reliable source of information.

Gakt was then happy to see the spirit box that Marcus pulled out. Now the real fun was getting started, Gakt thought as he watched. Though, he then gasped a little as the box was insulted by Lucas. Clearly he didn't know how useful that box was when it came to communicating with the dead. It was an invaluable tool for any ghost hunter.

If they were lucky they would be able to pick something up with the spirit box when they used it. Gakt waited with eager anticipation as the box was used.

Questions were asked by other goobies in hopes that they would get a reply from the spirit box but nothing seemed to be happening for a while. That discouraged a lot of goobies. Gakt, too, was getting the tiniest bit discouraged by the silence.

But then... They got a reply!!!!!

It was a small and very easily misable one but it was still enough of a reply to show that there was possibly a ghost in the same room as them! Oh boy, Gakt had to immediately take note of these findings so that he could report back to Ryou later on.

This was so cool. He waited to see if anymore questions would be asked and if they would get anymore replies.

prompt answer ; Lily followed the group to the sixth floor and grinned when she learned the next room they would be visiting was known as one of the hotel's most haunted rooms. If this was one of the hotel's most haunted rooms, surely that meant there was a good chance they would meet a ghost there, right? She listened curiously as Lucas and Marcus explained that a certain goobie always booked that room. While Lily did not recognize the name herself, from the way the two guides were acting, she had a feeling this goobie must be important. Regardless, she was happy to meet any ghost, so she eagerly followed the group inside the room. Immediately, she felt a chill down her spine, just like what Wisteria mentioned happening earlier. Looking around, it seemed like many others in the group had felt it as well. Rather than being frightened by the sudden chill, Lily just felt excited. This seemed like a good sign that there was a ghost around here!
Lily recognized the spirit box Marcus took out right away. She had used one herself during the exhibition last year! She was eager to see if they would be able to communicate with a ghost here as well. When Lucas spoke up about the device being too loud and hurting his ears, she felt bad. After all, she did not want anyone to be hurt during their exploration of the hotel. Besides, while the noise the spirit box made did not bother her, she totally understood certain noises being frustrating to hear. Lily glanced at Lucas with an apologetic expression while Marcus turned the spirit box on.
She listened as some questions were asked with no response, but eventually a response came! Lily smiled, happy to have heard from the ghost and also relieved the group apparently was not bothering the ghost with their attempts to communicate. In Lily's opinion, Winchester seemed nice! She listened as a few other goobies asked some questions as well.
