off she stumbled away from her group of friends towards the busy smoothie booth . all she could think about is how much fun she is having on this day so far aswell as her smoothie she’ll be sipping in the next hour . when keilani arrived at the smoothie stand , she was bombarded by all of the tasty smoothie options, the one peaking her interest being a strawberry banana n kale one . once her name got called she picked up her order along with an accompanying straw aswell as a cup sleeve so her hands weren’t to get chilly .

as she headed back towards where she once departed from where her friend group was, she got bumped by a frantic goobie who appeared to be in search of something or even a someone , the bumping prompting her slightly drunken from smoothie. she couldn’t help but notice the brightly colored goobie was panting n appeared as if they were searching for a while .

“r u ok-?” keilani starts “i- i” phone frantically tried to spit out a sentence inbetween breaths . “hey hey slow down, take some deep breaths .” keilani said as to calm the panicked goob down , which seem to have worked . after a couple seconds of the now calmer goobie taking some deep breaths they managed to spit out a clear sentence of them being in search of a group of goos . “oh-! i could help u find them if u would like some help-!” “r u sure,-? u don’t need to-! i’m sure u have a group to get back to .” the still no-named goobie replied . “i’m sure they wouldn’t mind-!” keilani threw back to them . “oh-! well i’ll take up ur offer then-! i’m phone by the way-!” “that’s such a cool name-! i’m keilani .” she says with a smile .

The two goobies started walking to search for the group of goos.
"Where have you searched so far?" Keilani asked Phone.
"Oh gob, ive searched half of the festival already and i still cant find them!" Phone said nervously.
"Hmmm... Have you gone to the booths yet? Maybe they got lost there, theres a crowd of goobies there so i wouldnt be surprised." She responded with a smile.
"I- havent. I dont know how i didnt think of that."
"Well lets go then!" Keilani said cheerfully dragging Phone along with her towards the booths.
As the two goos walked near the booths, the voices of three familiar goos were heard by Phone near the Connections stand.
...The trio had been arguing this whole time-?
"OKAY FINE MAYBE I FINALLY CONSIDER HIM DAD SO WHAT!?" Hooves shouted at the other two, embarrased.
Phone ran quickly towards the three. "KIDS!"
The trio gasped.
"DAD!"They yelled in unison.
Phone jumped to hug them, and they hugged back.
Keilani had followed Phone more calmly.
The three goos were all very happy, saying all sorts of stuff similar to 'You came!' 'You found us!' 'I knew you'd come!' before Keilani got to their side.
"...Who's this?" Tangerine asked shyly, as Sugar scooted away from the goobie with a smoothie, and Hooves frowned at her and tried to look taller and menacing.
"This is Keilani, she helped me find you." Phone said with a relieved smile.
"Thank you, by the way. How can i repay you? I could buy you something or bring you to a ride-" The other goobie cut him off.
"Youre welcome, and Its fine! I think I should go back to my group now.
...buuuut maybe you could come with me if you want! We could go on rides then."
"I-" phone looked at the kids behind him, who were now calmer and looking thankfully –and quite excitedly– at Keilani.
"Would that be okay with you guys?"
"YES YES YES!" The three said cheerfully.
"WE CAN GO ON SO MANY RIDES TOGETHER!"
"WE'RE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!"
Phone giggled softly and the three's antics.
"I guess we're coming with you then."
"Great! Oh man, youre gonna love my friends, theyre amazing!"
That day –even in the midst of panic– Phone made a friend.

“well…..” neptune thought. “hm…. i like making presents! like noodle necklaces and balloon goobs! and.. and i like making my friends happy.. i LOVE hugs!!! and taking them places they like! i love seeing them smile,,,”

he started thinking some more. however, pathos stopped his thoughts in their tracks. “nep, the point isn’t about what you like.. it’s about what you do to show you care!”

“oh..” neptune looked to the ground, a frown beginning to show.

“that’s alright! do you need help thinking of things?” pathos never intended to hurt his friend - he just kindly wanted him to know that he was straying from the point.

neptune nodded as his frown began turning into a smile again.

“well, you’re very good at listening! and you’re great at hugs, and give us all delicious homemade gookies. and, as you said, you also give a lot of gifts! i think that’s your own unique way of showing you care about the goobs around yo–” he was cut off due to him being taken aback by neptune embracing him in a hug.

bram hums with jason, sympathizing.

"it can be hard im sure.. whats important is to show her how you care in a way that she likes.. do something important to her so she knows you pay attention!" bram bumps rune with his hip with a shy smile

"he'll hate me for saying it out loud, but rune buys me special ingredients sometimes. it can be a pain to go to town myself and get them or harvest them so he goes through the trouble for me and it means a lot."

Rune flushes in embarrassment at his partner’s words. Though he does seem to soften a bit at the sentiment, and his face quirks into a smile before he jokingly says “Well you know, at least one of us has go be the responsible one…”

He sighs, over-dramatically, before softening again and saying “I like being able to thank you for always staying up to work with me. I can be a lot when I’m sleep deprived and cranky and living on caffeine, so the fact that he stays up to help and doesnt complain is… very kind..” He trails off and reaches out to hold Bram’s hand, squeezing contentedly.

"Oh! I like to do different things for the ones I love, Especially for my housemates Thana and Yayoi. I can't even list them all but recently because of the chore list, I'm in charge of cooking but I like to specialize the meals for the two of them. Usually that means I make their favorites, or add cute additions like cutting the food into cute shapes, mainly hearts."

Oleander is not really at the festive for themselves, so they're not in any hurry to go have fun, so they stay behind to hang out with Jason.

"Ooooh! that sounds like an interest love story in the making.. happy endings for couples are even better. Do you need any help Jason? I'd love to help you out, if you're feeling up to it."

As the goobies are out and about they notice Selia. She is sitting by herself, humming softly. She has a sad look for a moment before she realizes she has company and smiles again. "Oh sorry! You caught me when I was over-thinking again. About what? Er... well. I like Jason. But I don't know if he likes me. Seeing all of this love about made me realize I should tell him. But... I'm afraid to. Argh I wish the ground would swallow me up I'm sorry!" She groans tugging at an ear before continuing.

"...I need a distraction so I can do this with a clear mind! Have you been to the petting zoo yet? Many animals of all kinds! Let's go say hi!" Either way she is already off, cheerful again. These two were impossible.

neptune’s eyes lit up as he pranced into the goobilee’s petting zoo. there were so many animals there! his mind raced with all of the possibilities and all of the cuteness of the various animals. he wanted to explore - he heard good things about the place! and so far, the visit was well worth it to him.

after wandering for a bit, neptune found himself in a crowd of several other goobies all admiring some bunnies - there were even babies, too! he normally never gets to actually see bunnies - but they’re some of his favorite animals! ‘i suppose that’s why i gravitated towards here,’ he thought.

as he started to gently pet one of the bunnies, another goob sat down and reached his paw out to it, too. “hello! i’m neptune! you can pet this little guy, too,” neptune happily said with a smile.

Okomori stands still for half a second while trying to process Selia's eagerness to move on. By the time his mind catches up, she is several paces in front of him. He takes a quick glance back at the direction of Jason's booth and sighs. It broke his heart to see two goobs so clearly in love, but too afraid to let the other know.

He picked up his pace and eventually caught up with Selia who was already inside the petting zoo section and excitedly bouncing up to the different animals there. Okomori kept to himself, trying to give her a bit of space. He quietly made his way through each section, stopping a particularly long while at the goats. He stiffened as he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder but did his best to soften his expression once hearing Selia's voice behind him.

"I love these silly little guys don't you? Honestly...they kind of remind me of Jason." He gave her a toothy grin, which he would normally hide from others. "Please never tell him that, he'll hunt me down but they're goofy and full of love. Now I can't say much but I think you should give him a chance. Maybe communication is key here? You guys could decide something fun to do together and if it feels like the right timing, tell him."

Okomori nods as if reassuring himself that the advice is sound. "Who knows...maybe you'll both confess at the same time." There it was again, his genuine smile.

After hanging out with Keilani and her friends, the trio dragged Phone around the festival excitedly.
It seems like meeting some nice people make them more confident and out-going. As if they were returning to being kids. As if they were seeing how good the world could be, even after what they had been through in the past.
They passed through all the booths and then moved on to rides, not before writing a card to Keilani to thank her for her time!
Eventually, they ended up at the petting zoo.
The 4 saw Selia running from her booth towards the zoo, what a coincidence! They definitely were returning to her booth after.
"There is so many animals here!"
The kids couldn't choose where to go.
"Look!" They pointed at everything.
Until.
"Dad look! There's Veen!"
"Veen? Where?"
The cloaked goobie noticed the familiar four, and signaled for them to come near her.
The kids followed the lucky goobie excitedly, Phone following her friend and his kids calmly.
Veen directed the kids to where the ducks were, where she was admiring them and daydreaming previously.
Once they were far away from the other goobies, in the corner, Veen finally spoke.
"Hello my dearest. Its been a while." Veen said to the goobies, while picking up a duck lovingly to pet it.
The goos reached up to pet the duck.
"It has been a while, yes." Phone answered.
"We've missed you."
