prompt: Calamity Jason inhaled deeply, taking in the scent in the air, the feel of the water against its fur. It reminded him of the old days, back at home sometimes. In his mind he could hear a sea shanty, in his heart he could hear their voices.

"Jason?" Selia asked softly, concern lining her tone. "Are you alright?"

"Dandy," he replied. "Just... being nostalgic is all. Rain always makes me nostalgic..."

There's an almost even split on who loves the rain, and who doesn't.
Sage, Monet, and Arden all absolutely love it. Monet loves being able to paint with the sound of rain in the background, and always finds inspiration from how green it gets during and after a nice rainstorm. Sage loves it because it brings life to his plants, and he knows that with the spring showers, plenty of new life will be coming into the world, and he can't wait for it. Arden is much the same, the damp always creates plenty of spaces for the moss and fungi that they harvest to grow. And not to mention how peaceful the forests they like to travel though sound during the rain.

Hiraeth and Asmodeus on the other hand, they absolutely hate it. Hiraeth can't see the stars because of the rain clouds, and it's quite a pain to try and make maps when traveling just gets you stuck in the mud. Asmodeus hates it because of how humid it gets in his workshop due to how warm it is, and he prefers to work outside and he can't do that without risking his projects to be ruined!

prompt: keilani ADORES the rain-! typically on a rainy day, she may cuddle up under a big palm leaf listening to the splashing of the drops hitting the nearby river, aswell as the top of the palm leaf he calls shelter during the drizzle

i actually rlly do love this concept for them so i may draw it out when i have time :eyes:

prompt: Istovan peered down at the gooble, taking notes as he spoke. "What does your kind eat? Do you have a culture? Your own language? What does your homeland look like? How did you become leader?" Dozens of questions are rolled off, as his three daughters look on.

"I have a super important question!" Harley interrupted, hopping back and forth. "Would you like to be friends?" Istovan huffed.

"That is hardly a scientific-"

"You told us every question is important!: Harley replied to which their father sighed. He could not argue that one.

prompt: Comon stared at the smaller creature softly, almost fondly.
"Do you guys like fruit? I've got plenty! ...Actually, do you guys even know what fruit exists here?"
After a few more seconds of thinking, a better question came to mind.
"Where do you come from... how is it there? Why do you like worms so much? Is it one of a few things you can eat safely?"

Sage was bouncing from paw to paw as he waited for Gootenant Marshmallow to walk up to him, nervous and excited all at once, but he made himself keep still after a moment- he wanted to make a good impression! As the Gooble just stared at him he froze for a moment before realizing that he was waiting for Sage to speak.
"Ah- yes, um, I was, um. I was wondering about plants?" Sage stumbled through his words, wincing before clearing his throat. "Plants on your homeworks, to be exact. Do you have flowers, and trees, and all sorts of plants like ours? Or are they completely different? Do you guys only eat worms or do you eat plants too? If you do, I'd love to cook for you with some of my plants! I raise them all myself."

prompt: Bjolfr, Zacharias, Athaleh, and Vireo decide to interrogate in a very similar fashion that they do with everyone else they interact with, each head going rapid fire between questions and hoping that one of them will stick, while also giving the gooble plenty of options on how they'd like to answer. Verbally, claw-language, and writing were all options (with a bit of reassurance that they knew how to read chicken-scratch.)

prompt: Akemi is the first to step forward, chest proud and a flicker of curiosity in her eyes. "So what or who do you believe in? Do you believe in the gob and gobbess?"
Bailey scratches his head while looking at the gooble with confusion. He let out a yawn, not really sure what to ask. "Do goobles have to sleep? How long can you or do you sleep for?"
Caillou's ears perk up and his gaze shifts towards the gootenant with a great deal of excitement. As a journalist and historian, he had so many questions for this strange creature. However, he knew he could only ask one... "Who is your favourite historical figure and why?"
Cha-Cha was really not interested in the gooble- being an intergalactic bountry hunter, she was used to seeing weird, whacky and wonderful species. She just could not get on bored with everyone else's hype. Reluctantly, she asked a question just so she didn't stand out. "What's your biggest weakness?"
Daxter found himself quite interested in the little gooble, with many questions formulating in his mind. How could he choose just one to ask? Daxter shrugged to himself as he was deep in thought, but eventually he came to a decision: "Do you have plants on your planet? What is your favourite?"
Oleta stepped towards the gooble with hesitation, a little shy to meet someone, or something, new. What would they think of her, or let alone the goobie world? Asking a question related to baking would be too typical... She needed something more adventurous. "Would you rather see 10 minutes into the future or 150 years into the future?
The last goobie, Ophelia, had much time to think of her question. She smirked at the gooble: "Do you believe in magic?"
