prompt:
Sugar stared as Blade and Phone walked away, leaving hots siblings slightly behind.

Hooves felt hots eyes pierce a hole through it. It turned around.
"What are you doing?" Hooves said, catching Tangerines attention. "We need to go!" She said.
"The gob... Jystyr? He might need us."
"What do you mean need us? We're in danger!"
"...Haven't we been waiting for this? For him to return?" Sugar said with a frown.
Tangerine stared at hot with concern. Hooves stared ...blankly? It seemed to be thinking to itself.

There was a soft silence between them. Tense, yet not out of discomfort, short, yet it felt like an hour.
They were scared, how couldn't they be?
Abandoned by everyone since birth, endangered far too many times to risk losing eachother.
And in front of the two gobs.

"Tank... hot kinda has a point.." Hooves said, almost beneath its breath.
"We are children Hooves! We should be getting into this!" She responded in a half yell.
Sugar sighed. "We have to go. Its what's right to do."
"I don't want to!" She yelled.
"Then don't go!" Hooves shouted, and if they didn't know it better, they would have mistaken it for anger.

"...What if you get hurt tough? I'd never forgive myself for that!" Tangerine said, with tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"We'll be alright. Its not the first time we've been under threat."
"You don't even know what the threat is! You could die!"

Everything went silent between them. It felt like the world had stopped for a minute.

"Then we won't go down without a fight."

prompt: neptune’s sobs filled pathos’s mind. “neptune,” the diab said softly, “it’s okay. we’ll be fine, she’ll be fine, alright?” pathos got down to his friend’s level, who was crying uncontrollably, paws covering his face.

“but what if she sides with her!? what if she takes sol…!!! and we never see her again-?” at this point, neptune had worked himself up so much that he couldn’t even talk to his own friend. he took a moment to catch his breath; he needed that.

all the while, pathos was debating what to do. he knew he would have to drag neptune wherever he went; he couldn’t leave him alone, especially not in this state. “hey,” he began. “let’s stay with the gob, okay? that’s something you can agree on me with, right?” neptune looked up at his friend with trembling eyes, nodding ever so slightly.

then, he saw something—someone—who he had longed to see.

sol!

she sighed, seeming as if she just witnessed something evil.

“i’m with the gob.”

“gob. gob all the way,” calamity barked. “don’t trust that monster of a ‘gobbess.’” they stared at his friend and lover. “how about you two?”

velle felt confident in his answer, both for his personal reasons and for the fact that it’ll make cal happy. “well—”

“also,” interrupted cal, “if any of you side with the enemy — any of you — there will be consequences.” velle sighed, while pitre tried hiding his feelings. he knew how serious calamity can get, and he definitely didn’t want to have differing opinions with them, especially with a threat such as that.

“love, i agree with you.. about siding with the gob,” velle admitted. “you don’t need to threaten us, dear. we’re both with you.” the diab looked back at pitre, who was being awfully quiet. “…right?”

pitre looked at the goob towering over him, and the one who looked like he was about to snap, with terror. “actually, i think we-”

cal!

“i think we should give the gobbess a chance to explain herself.”

velle was nearly speechless, while cal was ready to attack.

“pitre, run.”

and so he did.

-

“velle.. velle....” pitre said, holding back tears.

“proud of you for sharing your opinion.”

“i don’t know what to think anymore.”

“it’s alright,” velle truthfully said. “cal’s calmed down now. did he hurt you-?”

pitre looked at himself. “no.” he felt a pang of regret hit him. “well, just my pride, i guess.”

“we’re, or at least, i’m, here for you. you can always come with us if you aren’t sure. i’ll keep cal’s emotions at bay.”

“thank you, velle. i appreciate it.”

prompt:

The three sisters watched the scene unfold, all three still shaking. Marveling at the bravery of their father, but also scared. When the gob himself was revealed all three gasped. But even they could tell a war was brewing, as the gobbess herself stepped down as well. "Points for dramatic entrances for the both of you..." Istovan admitted. He glances between the two deities.

"Decisions, decisions. On one hand, redoing all of my science under a new world would be a fascinating endeavor. On the other hand, it would also be a pain. Stars versus planets... well that seems easy enough. But..." He hums, glancing back to the triplets. "You made those three cry. As such, I will be siding with the gob." Before any of the three kids could react, Istovan shot them a look.

"And you three are remaining right there where it is safe. No wars for you! Someone must record all of the fascinating data this shall provide yes? Do that for me... and not to worry. I will see this through safely to its end."

Istovan joins the side of the gob!
Crowley, Harley, and Ugin are stuck in time out to... document.

------
Mariposa and Aria looked at each other, considering their options. It was finally Aria who broke the silence. "We are... made in her image. Maybe... maybe we can show her she is wrong. Help her see?"

"..Change the mind of a gobbess? Aria... she wants to bring down our whole world!"

"But we should at least try. She cannot be all evil right?"

"Uhm... hello? Black hole for a heart?"

"Maybe this world needs change," piped in a nearby diab, Holly. Her brother beside her frowned a slight. "Maybe... we need to start anew. We have seen that goobs and good can do pretty rotten things to each other! That last customer we had? Totally did not tip. The nerve!"

"But... is that reason to bring the whole world down?" he asked her.

"I'm not siding with someone who wants to remake a whole world. Flawed as it is... I like this world," Mariposa replied. Aria hummed.

"I'm sorry... I can't go against our gobbess," she finally whispered. "But I will use this chance to try and change her, as well as ask her to forgive." Holly peered up.

"I'm coming with you. This world needs change..."

"I... I can't leave you," Krystal admitted, ears twitching back. Mariposa sighed, watching them go. She didn't like any of this.

Mariposa joins the side of the gob!
Aria, Holly, and a very reluctant Krystal join with the gobbess!

-----
Calamity Jason peered over at Selia, pensive. "The merfolk wish to stay out of it. I... want to fight to protect 'em. They've been my friends for a few centuries now, I cant leave 'em to die or be remade. What 'bout you seakid?" Selia shook her head, looking out at the waves.

"They've done nothing wrong... and call me blasphemous but I don't think the rest of us have either. I am... more of a biologist not a fighter though."

"Stick with me then. I'll protect you, teach you a few things. I wasn't a bad fighter back in my sailin' days after all. Along the way I'll sing you a new shanty..."

Calamity Jason and Selia form a crew to stand with the gob!

prompt: Caillou was taken back by the response of the strange Goo lady in the sky. Disappointed? Why? Was he not good enough for her?! While the young Goobie was stomping around in a hot-headed and angsty manner, he didn't even realise that another deity had appeared. After a few moments of infuriation, Caillous outrage was interrupted by the gobs voice. He looked around curiously, wondering who possessed such a tranquil voice. Then it seemed as if the gobbess was angry- maybe this was who she was after, instead of Caillou? He watched as a strange cloud of stars and constellations pushed its way through the crowd and towards the gobbess, finally reviling itself. Caillou couldn't help but to notice the bells on his earrings and the comforting sounds they created.
Caillou was reminded of his mother, who used to shake a bell toy whenever Caillou was upset as a young goo. He became entranced, captured by the strange gobs bells. It was if he were under a hypnotic spell. Caillou started to subconsciously take small steps towards the gob, wanting to know more.

prompt:
gob is... gob was, one of you.
and now, there are two divines, the two divine beings, facing off...
you feel as if you must choose a side.
what side do you choose?
Soleil dares, after a moment, to peek out at the gobbess once more. After her little breakdown, she feels more ready to face the gobbess and the demands she had.

That is when she hears it, the disembodied voice that seems to come from everywhere. She doesn't recognise it. Although, to her it sounds like a comforting fire on a cold night that warms her cold paws and heart alike.
It brings with it warm memories of nights spent under the stars.
What goob could have such a voice?

From her spot away from the crowd she looks around hastily to find the goob that was brave enough to speak against the gobbess.
Was it one of the older goobs or perhaps a daring youngster?
Whoever it was, they would surely be ungooed.

Or would they...?
They spoke awfully familiarly with the gobbess.

Soleil can then see the stars that twinkle and shine inside the cloud making its way towards the gobbess through masses of goobs that soon gives way to a...
Another goobie?!?

The stars around them that form clouds seem familiar... Soleil feels as if she knows their presence but can't seem to place a toe bean on it.
But from where did she know?

Of course.
Soleil figures it out and it makes her smile brightly, her tears all gone now.
Her beloved stars came from her beloved gob.
Now she understood why both brought her such comfort. They were one and the same. Both linked together.

And in a time like this, her stars are exactly what she needs.

The gob (as always) has Soleil's unyielding loyalty and support.

      prompt:

First it had only been a matter of faith...or a lack thereof. And then, it had all become a reality in an instant. Two figures stood watching from a distance, as the two supernatural beings stood before them, facing off against one another. Sullivan's gaze flickered to his brother, Desmond, irritably, shoving the opposing agel away. "Well, now look. They're real and she didn't want me. So what do you suppose happens now?"

Never in his lifetime would Sullivan have thought that he'd be witnessing such an unfathomable scene. Dark eyes were poised upon two unfamiliar figures...supernatural beings, he believed. They seemed so much like themselves, yet so unbelievably different at the same time. It had been a mere matter of faith at first...or a lack thereof. But then, all of a sudden, that mere sliver of faith - or none at all - regardless of one's thoughts, beliefs and opinions, there was a new reality staring them in the face. The gob and gobbess...facing each other. Right before them.
XXXXSullivan, who'd previously been shoved forward by his brother Desmond, now turned to shove the opposing agel away with a huff. His dark gaze shone irritably, as he shuffled a short distance away, yet was careful to make sure he wasn't nearing the two creatures ahead of them. If anything, he wanted to be far, far away from the two. The very atmosphere had changed a number of times since the appearance of the gobbess, cold and unforgiving and now, with the appearance of the gob, that air had been shattered by a more comforting warmth. At the same time, these two seemed to coexist with one another somehow...conflicting with the other in an odd way. Regardless, there were more...concerning events - namely, the standoff between the gob and gobbess. Was a fight about to break out? A reunion? Sullivan wasn't sure, all he knew was that tension had begun to take hold of the very air, it was heavy with it. His gaze flickered to his brother, who - as usual - seemed unphased by the situation. With a huff, he hurried over to his side.
XXXX"Well, are you just going to sit there? What do we do?" He managed to choke out, his gaze downcast. His brother turned to him with that annoying sneer that always seemed to be present among his face in these types of situations - oh how he thrived off of them.

"What do you mean? Are we supposed to do anything?" he inquired in that sickly sweet voice he possessed. Sullivan grimaced though managed to keep himself in check. A singular wrong move here could mean bad things for the both of them - so perhaps they ought to keep things...civil.
XXXX"They're just standing there. I feel...I feel- Oh don't give me that look!" he cried, only to hate himself for doing such afterwards. His gaze snapped to the two divine beings, seeing as they hadn't moved, he relaxed - but only slightly. "I'm serious. I'm not caught up in my emotions, I feel as if we should...side with someone."
      XXXX"Side with someone? Why?"

"I don't know why...I just think we should. I-In support of whoever we choose. I feel...I feel like nothing good is going to come from this."
XXXX"And you don't think we should run for once? Maybe you are being serious." Seeing his brother's displeased expression, Desmond chuckled and patted him on the shoulder. "Alright, alright. You keep saying "someone", but I don't see why we wouldn't side with the gobbess. That's what agels do, right? And considering our current relationship with diabs, there's no way I'm siding with that guy. So, let's go then."

Desmond began to hurry away, with Sullivan following behind at his heels. Still, they kept their distance, merely padding over to where they'd be standing behind the gobbess. And so, the two of them seated themselves, awaiting whatever was to befall them next. In the distance, Sullivan could've sworn he saw Umbra and Skittle among the opposing crowd, but he kept his mouth shut and focused his attention upon the two deities.

Arianna stares after the goob she had secretly been looking up to for awhile now in utter confusion, she didn't really understand what was going on but she knew she felt heartbroken and betrayed, she slowly looked to the Gobbess and then back to Jystyr as a bitter confusion soured her expression due to hearing the Gobbess refer to the goob - or Gob - in as if he was feminine.

Oh how this situation would taint this little diabs beautiful ignorance.. it took her a rather not so graceful moment to register that Jystyr, apparently, hadn't always been Jystyr. A deep anger begins to swell, like a pool of water being held back by a dam, taking a glance back to the card she had recently made for the Gobbess as the realization hit her like a beesting.

The feeling of betrayal had been caused by the one Ari had made the card for. No sound came from her at all. Just silence. The feeling of needing to make a decision began to suffocate any thoughts or words she had just had, snuffing out almost every feeling of anxiety or fear, she proceeds to swipe up the card she had made with a paw..

She had made up her mind; the deity that had her support and trust was Gob/Jystyr. The loving card she had written torn to shreds at her feet as that dam finally broke, angry tears flooding like a unstable waterfall out of her eyes.

Arianna hates the Gobbess.

The others caught up with Ira just in time for Jystyr to make himself known as Gob. Ira had been struck with shock watching the events unfold; unable to be talked down as much as Windsor tried. Maple and Dyre watched the two entities stand before each other, the tension in the atmosphere nearly suffocating.

"She... The Gobbess, she was so angry..." Ira rasped.

Maple turned their head back in confusion. "Why is she angry? What does she want with Jystyr..?"

Ira shook their head without a word. Nothing had been revealed yet in conversation, besides the accusation that the great Gob was a traitor.

"Jystyr may be, or was, a very silly clown Goob, but a traitor? He has never come off that way." Dyre watched the two entities intently, seeing how enraged the Gobbess was and how fed up the Gob seemed. They glanced at the other three Goobs with uncertainty. Did this mean they had to choose sides?

Ira slumped onto the ground with Windsor holding onto them, still attempting any form of comfort despite being absolutely terrified of the event.

"The... The Gob is trustworthy. There is no other way."

Ira's voice was hushed, and their eyes were clouded. The event had taken a number on them and it had practically caused them to shut down. Windsor silently agreed, and Dyre moved to their sides in a protective manner. Maple was going to side with their friends no matter what, but the decision made their stomach twist. As an Agel, they felt a reasonable amount of connection with the Gobbess. They were really hoping this did not take a turn for the worse, and that the Gobbess would make them all regret the choice they made together.

Maple, Dyre, Windsor, and Ire chose to side with the Gob.

gwyn always knew. if she chose to follow the gobbess, she would eventually thrown away once she was done serving her purpose and became useless. however, being useful was surely better than no use at all. it felt wrong for gwyn to side with the gob. the gob of course, had reasons for doing so, mainly with the well being of the goobies in mind. but who was gwyn to question the gobbess' reasons for leaving? the gobbess was a divine being and to question her was treason in gwyn's mind.

it's not like she was blind to the consequences of her loyalty. even she could see the cracks and holes in the gobbess' words. but everything was already set in stone when she chose the gobbess all those years ago as a goo. she would not be persuaded to change her decision.
    no matter the consequences.

Sage watched the situation with mixed emotions- mainly confusion, fear, and.. anger. He was angry. He did not know who he was angry at, the gob or gobbess, there was so much to think about. But the angered words of his gobbess scared him more than anything, he did not understand, these were greater beings and he was just one goob. It really targeted how they were nothing to her, didn't it?

And then gob stepped forward, and it seemed like time slowed for just a moment as he recognized Jystyr. the goob that had created him, the goob he saw as his parent in some way. In that moment, something deep in his chest started changing, growing. Something that was fueled by the gobbess' anger, how she treated the being that was supposed to be her equal. It was hatred, a sudden pit of hatred that threatened to drown out everything else in Sage. The goob stepped away from the being he had once referenced as his 'mother' and under the blanket of stars that were gob's dark clouds, standing next to Hiraeth, all the confusion and anger leaving him for just a moment as he felt gob's comforting presence- it felt like home.

Sage was doubting the gobbess once more, and he would not be begging for her forgiveness this time.
