"Home?"
Fera began, before pausing, deep in thought. "I suppose... hm. I suppose my home is deep in the forest, on the outskirts of... some sort of town." She hummed, "I forgot the name, to be honest."
Fera cleared her throat before continuing. "Many call the forest an endless maze, but honestly? It is very easy to traverse, if you are light-hearted. You must listen carefully. The trees... they whisper, mindless nothings, words that seemingly make no sense, but seem familiar. Like an ancient spell. Follow them, they will guide you through. Be careful, however. The animals seem to like drawing you off of the path, like its a game. If that happens, well... it depends. If it's day? Lets hope you remember your way back. If its night... search for the light, and follow it. You won't get any closer, in fact, it will look like it is further away--but that's good. That means you are back onto the path."
Fera shook her head, chuckling. "Enough about that. The rumors about the forest... that is not what you asked about. My home... I couldn't tell you where it is, you'd have to go yourself. The forest is tricky like that. But... if you wander far enough in, you can find a large clearing with a spring. That is where I live, in a hut I built myself, when I was a kit. It's quite small, but enough for one person, two if you're careful with your space. Walls made of stone, a roof made of twigs and leaves. It's... not the best looking, but it works. I've got a garden outside, filled to the brim with almost every herb, fruit and vegetable you can imagine. There's a large, weeping willow next to the spring, and I have a small cooking pot there. It's quite beautiful... far enough away from any towns where you can see the stars. To be quite honest... I'd call it paradise."
The kalon paused, thinking. "If I had to guess... you'd like to know more about the town I mentioned earlier, no? Well... it's not the worst place. The people are decent, and are willing to help out if needed. But its... too advanced, I suppose the word is? Too many vehicles, loud noises, lights... The air isn't clean, and the water is... definitely something. It tastes off. I rarely go there, I'd much rather stay at home, or with the animals. However... there is something that always keeps me coming back." Fera blushed slightly, a small smile spreading across her face. "Or rather, someone. I know it sounds strange, but to be honest with you... I'd be willing to drop everything for her. While I described where I live, I'd like to say that I can be at home whenever I'm with her, no matter where I am. So... to really answer your question, home is wherever
she is."
