Mira stares for a moment, contemplating. She had an idea and lifted up her cap and 15 pieces of candicorn in a baggy came out. Placing the candicorns carefully on the paw she stood back and waited to see if anything would happen.
"Maybe this glorious statue wants a sweet offer? I'll give'em everything I got, as a kind gesture, and maybe... Someone will help me get outta here?" She chuckled nervously.

Sliding to a stop in the corridor, Zorra stood shakily on their hooves, staring around. Only forward, I guess.

You keep heading towards the lights and find yourself at a very brightly-lit corn wall. Why's it so bright? There's a tapping on your shoulder, and you whip around to see.. no one. Just two large pumpkins on the ground and a note inbetween them. When did those get there?

Inside one pumpkin is a big bag of candicorn, and inside the other... what a strange looking token... almost like a lambicorn.
The note reads "Choose wisely. Both will take you away from here." Sounds like it'll change your position in the maze, either way. Or, you can choose neither and keep going.

You keep going, and the path is getting REALLY bright. Is this a good thing? There's a map tacked to the stalks as you approach another turn. Check it out?

You get close to the map, and you see its a map of the maze. Oh!
There's a lot of impish smiley faces drawn randomly throughout. As you read it, you notice at the bottom right in very large writing, "WHY DID YOU STOP?? YOU'RE THERE!"

As soon as you place something on the statue, it comes to life! An impish lambicorn grins back at you, "Heyy, thanks for that. Mind if I accompany you the rest of the way?" You continue, and the path juts abruptly to the left! Going left, you see the path ahead is open, facing a corn wall that goes left and right. There's a big rightward arrow carved into the dirt. You keep going, and as you enter the "new" pathway, you glance back. Your path you just traveled down is... gone! Almost like a one-way mirror. There's simply corn there. Well, the arrow did tell you to go right, so rightwards it is?

You decide to continue on. Something's up, after all! It smells sweet here. This path is fairly lengthy, and doesn't split off. Instead you come to a... gap? Yes, a gap. In the pathway. In a corn maze. Someone’s laid a board across it. Cool! You cross using the board.

Continuing ahead, there's a statue on your right. It looks like an impish lambicorn. It has one paw being held upwards, as if you can place something on it.

If you picked anything up during the maze, maybe try that? Or place a candicorn bag there if you have nothing else.

You've chosen to challenge the mystery eyes in the cornstalks. And when you do, they shrink back, hissing still.

One pair of eyes comes closer to you and as they part through the corn, the magic moonlight illuminates their impish lambicorn figure. Their glowing eyes and sharp teeth glimmer, but they don't seem to be aggressive. Just, amused. The hissing from the other eyes turn into mischievous laughter as the impish lambie holds out two pumpkins. They're beckoning you to choose one.

As soon as you place your paw on the statue, it comes to life! An impish lambicorn grins back at you, "Heyy, thanks for that. Mind if I accompany you the rest of the way?" They don't seem like any lambicorn you know, but it does seem like they genuinely want to travel with you.

“Follow me!!” They seem eager to lead you and it’s so good to finally see another lambicorn’s face! You follow, past a pile of pillows and are heading towards lights. You find yourselves at a very brightly-lit corn wall. Why's it so bright? Oh! There's two large pumpkins on the ground and a note inbetween them. When did those get there?

Inside one pumpkin is a big bag of candicorn, and inside the other... what a strange looking token... almost like a lambicorn.

Left takes you round a spiral turn and... straight into a dead end. Drats! As you turn to go back, you hear a "CHUNNK" mechanical sound, and suddenly the ground drops you into a wormhole-like slide. Despite the surprise, it's not too wild of a ride.

Shortly after, you are gently tossed out somewhere you don't recognize… it’s a long corridor, and there’s something just out of view? Ok... somewhere new, that's good! At least it's not doubling back! Continuing ahead, there's a statue in view. It looks like an impish lambicorn. It has one paw being held upwards, as if you can place something on it.

If you picked anything up during the maze, maybe try that? Or place a candicorn bag there if you have nothing else.

TAKE THE TOKEN
You choose the token, and it glitters at your touch. With a powerful gust of wind, you find yourself suddenly just outside of the maze. At last, at last!! It looks like the pumpkins were a teleport out. Not quite “winning” the maze, but on the plus side, you’re finally free from the corn!!

Raksh the Imp Lord is here, and he’s got quite the party set up, “Hey dudes!! Took the shortcut out, huh? Heh heh. You were pretty close! We’ll have to wait for the, uh, “maze lord” to stumble out any minute. Buut you chose well—lucky for you,” he points at the token, “because you’re about to get a new pal!”

He points a finger gun at the token and it casts a large beam of light upwards. Is… something coming down out of the sky? It is… and it’s a lambicorn! +IMPoster minion lambicorn

Suki’s eyes sparkled, she snatched up the strange token in her paws and inspected it curiously, her short tail wagging, Ebbie and Leo peeked up at their mother, giggling at how she reacted to seeing the token.

Lamby shielded her eyes with her wings against the blinding lights. Studying the map for a moment made her heart flutter in excitement and worry. Had she made it?? Had she finished?? She quickly looked around the corner.

Rome looked first to his new companion, then the pumpkins. He noticed the glint of something shiny inside one pumpkin and stared at it, drifting ever-closer to get a good look inside-- a lambicorn token? Would that mean... perhaps another friend? He glances back to his companion, then the pumpkins-- then the road ahead. Rome swallows hard. He wants to get the heck out of here-- the hedges are still claustrophobic even with company and the feeling that the branches and leaves are getting closer and closer with every second is really starting to freak poor Rome out.

He takes the token.

Hopefully he's made the right choice-- but even if it's not quite perfect, Rome reflects on what a fun time he's had in the maze-- inbetween being claustrophobic and anxious of course. He had to admit, it was a rather impressive set up! And overall a memorable time-- if absolutely nothing else! He met a new friend along the way and tested his bravery in an unexpected form-- all in all, the night was more eventful than he'd thought when he first stepped into the hedge maze, but not in a bad way at all. It's been fun, but as Rome feels the cold metal of the token in his paw-- he's also thankful that this is probably the end of the road for him. He exhales a soft sigh. He wants more than anything else to go home and to take a much needed nap! It's definitely been an eventful holiday for him, and as it turns out, all this maze-wandering and claustrophobic panic is really tiring!
