Why do I Want Her?So, the minute she was donated I felt a connection with this sweetie. Her simplistic design pulled me in, and the ideas I had for her personality kept me staring at her beauty. Her design is so simple with the pale creams and dark greys, but is also full of life and color, what with the small splashes of lime green and turquoise. When I looked at her, I got the feeling that she'd been strong for so long...most of her life blocking others out. But now that she's older, she's cracked. Her once perfectly boisterous personality has mellowed, and has become a bit more timid. When she's working, this part of her personality seems to go away - but backstage, she's back to her normal, almost sullen-looking self. She's not quiet as much as she is empathetic - she feels deeply, and seeing those that stare at her deformities makes her feel as if she is less than perfect, which is something she hates. From the note pattern in her fur, I wanted to make her a musician - of what, I wasn't quite sure, but I knew I'd figure it out soon.

There are only so many instruments one can be well-versed in, after all! I also felt as if she'd get along very well with my RPW,
Sprite, whom I adopted from the re-adoption center here in the RPW community quite awhile. I've been looking for the perfect mate for him, and over time, I believe that Limca will end up being that perfect girl for him.
What Will I do With Her?Well, I've FINALLY completed my
RPW Website, so she'll definitely get a spot on there - more than likely right next to Sprite's spot.

She'll be a beloved character of mine, as I will sketch and draw her whenever I can (I sketch once a week). If I can't draw her personally, I will probably order art of her every so often, when I can spare the CS pets as payment - I know several people in the RPW community who offer art of other's RPWs, and I'd definitely PM them about art of this lovely babe. I love writing, as well, so I'll be writing stories about her and her family and friends, which I hope to do frequently. If there are ever any RPW events, I could probably use her in them as well, as long as she fits into the storyline properly.

Waiting for the Rain wrote:I'm waiting for the rain,
I'm bracing for the thunder...
A twig that wouldn't sway
In the wind.
Awaken from a dream...
Arising from a slumber...
I'm far away from home,
On my own.
Hear my yearning,
See the crimson flame;
Like a ruby,
It's the hope
In my eye.
If you go away,
And I don't see you anymore,
I still wouldn't sway,
But I'd be
Missing you.
Now don't be afraid,
You the flower couldn't sting,
You can hide in my shade,
Or maybe I...
Could I be safe
In yours?
A moment left to bloom,
I wither by the morning.
Can we be staying here
For a while?
Hear my yearning,
See my raging light,
It's my token that we won't
Say goodbye.
I will give you a day,
Or maybe I...
Could I have one
Of yours?

Talking Drum,
Bongos,
Handpan, and
Hang. She loves pounding out her frustrations or happiness to a beat on the drums, and has owned one of each of the membranophones she is most skilled in for most of her life.
Occupation:RingmasterLimca is a
ringmaster at a circus. She loves her job - she gets such a thrill from seeing all of the amazed faces in the audience! The crowd roaring and applause ringing in her ears gives her energy enough to get through every show. After the show, the VIP audience members get to go backstage where she gives them tours, as well, and most of the time, children are involved, which she adores. She loves kids, and really enjoys seeing their little eyes light up with wonder as she shows off the different animals and performers in the circus.
Medical Issue(s):- Blindness in her right eye. Limca wasn't born blind - she was born with two beautiful green eyes. Later in life, she completely lost sight in her right eye, and the color changed to an abnormal white shade (though the naturally-darkened sclera was oddly not affected, and is just the same as her left sclera). When she was in her teens, she stuck up for someone who was getting bullied, and the bully instead turned on her. What resulted was a bloody fight between the two. The bully came out with a broken nose and sprained ankle; Limca came out completely blind in her right eye. The color change wasn't due to the accident - it was due to her eye healing and creating scar tissue. She can see nothing in her right eye, and because of the deformity, she usually has an eye patch she wears. She has several she chooses between, and when she's on stage for her job, it blends right in to the act - but when she wears it out to go shopping, she gets stares from not-so-understanding RPWs.
Alignment:Lawful Neutral
Past Personality:In her past, Limca was very different from how she is today. She blocked others out, ignored responsibilities, and flaunted rules. She was boisterous and distanced herself from everyone. She insulted others without a second thought, and wasn't responsible in the least. She did whatever she wanted to do, and didn't care what her parents demanded of her. She was kicked out of her house as a teen, and hung with friends until she was able to get a job flipping burgers. She was fine with that job, seeing as she was paid under the table and owed no taxes, and she didn't care about anything but earning up money to stuff her face with her favorite foods. When a bully was picking on her friend who she was rooming with, she stuck up for her friend and was pummeled just as hard as she pummeled the bully. After the fight, she lost her sight in her right eye. The bully was required to pay her medical bills for the rest of his life...but that didn't give Limca her sight back. With the loss of her vision, she gained a new perspective on life, and became a better RPW, completely changing her life.
Short Personality:Full of life
Strong
Cracked
Broken
Beautiful
Mellow
Sullen
Empathetic
Cooperative
Curious
Dedicated
Focused
Quiet
Doesn't Freak Out
Goes-With-The-Flow
Hates When Others Stare at Her
Long Personality:Quiet for the most part, Limca would rather sit and watch something than jump into the fray. Not quiet timid or shy, she'll speak up when necessary, but for the most part will stay quiet. She's rather mellow, and is pretty cool, calm, and collected. She doesn't get worked up easily, and hasn't freaked out in years.
When Limca's not dealing with her work schedule, she's rather go-with-the-flow. Full of life, she is energetic and likes getting things done, but doesn't really like to go out clubbing or doing anything stupid like that. Curious, Limca is always searching for something new to learn or do. She likes to stay active, but only if what she's doing is something worthwhile. She'll clean her house, organize her closet, or clean up after the elephants for extra cash every night. She doesn't care what she's doing, as long as she's doing something productive.
Limca's always been strong, and knows exactly why she believes what she believes. She's had others try to persuade her to change her views, but she's always refused. She knows they mean well, but she hates when they try to pry into her life and get her to change something so integral about herself that she decided upon long ago.
After her accident, Limca's personality changed. She sort of cracked, and became depressed and sullen for several years. She considered herself to be broken and worthless, and started to self-deprecate at this point in time. She's continued to have a more sullen attitude since then, and still does self-deprecate, though the depression has thankfully gone away since that point in time.
Empathetic, Limca feels deeply. When someone's hurt or in pain, she feels nearly exactly like the other being. When somebody's happy, she feels energetic and pleased. Whatever someone feels, if she is close enough to that RPW, she will feel it as well. This can be positive, as when she's around those who are happy, she'll be happy as well. But it's also got its downfalls, as when she's around depressed individuals, she tends to feel down herself.
Cooperative, focused, and dedicated, Limca is a hard worker. When Limca's in the zone, nothing can distract her except for an emergency. When she's working, literally trying to distract her will just end in her getting mad at you and snapping at you to cut it out, as she has a job to do.
The only RPW she really opens up around is her fiance, Sprite. She can really get out of her shell and talk to him unlike any other RPW. She feels completely comfortable around him, and appreciates all he's done for her. She counts him as her angel, because he honestly saved her from a life of misery. She loves him very much, and appreciates how honest she can be around him, without fear of unfair judgement.

Sprite isn't her fiance for nothing - Limca gets along great with this guy. He quite literally saved her from her depression, and she loves him very dearly. She can't wait until they get married, and they plan on getting hitched soon. He's always been so supportive of her, and she in turn has always been there for when he needed her. They work together perfectly, and balance each other out.

This is probably the sappiest thing I've ever written. Sorry about that. .-.
The music blared. Limca threw on a smile, and sauntered out into the rings.
The crowd screamed.
Her eyepatch glistened in the light, and her smile took on a devilish tint. She flicked her wrist gracefully, motioning for the backstage crew to do what they did best.
Right on cue, three canons exploded, startling the audience.
The lights flickered out.
She spoke into the mic just under her lips. "Ladies and gentlemen...welcome to the show."
The lions roared.
Limca blinked, observing the "lion-tamer" strut his stuff. Her job wasn't just to sit off to the side and do nothing - she had the responsibility of making sure nothing went wrong.
Thankfully, nothing did.
Limca trotted out to the center, spotlight on her once again. "Give it up for Leo and his amazing liiiiiiooooons!"
The crowd applauded somewhat.
Limca knew she'd need to pump them up somehow, and suddenly had an idea. "Ladies and gentlemen, children of all sizes, shapes, and ages...please, put your paws together, for our next act - your's truly."
The audience didn't applaud. Most of the faces looked confused.
Limca just smiled.
The set-designers wheeled out her drums.
She sat, and waited.
The audience was silent.
She hit hard on the left drum.
A canon exploded.
She continued to hit the drums, and each one triggered a different response. Some triggered the lights, other triggered explosions, and the last one triggered confetti. The audience members were soon on their feet enjoying the show, however. Paws were flying. By the time Limca finished, the crowd was pumped and ready for the next act.
Limca smiled, taking a bow. When she raised up again, she got smacked in the face with a pie. "Well, looks like the clowns are out now! Put your paws together for my funny boys!"
After the show, Limca was at a wash basin, cleaning the dirt and pie out of her fur.
She felt a tap on her shoulder, and turned around, face still dripping with water.
It was Sprite. "Hello, dear," he said with a smile.
She turned around and dried off, smiling when she turned back. "What are you doing here? Only VIP guests get backstage access!"
He glanced down. "I wanted to see you again."
Limca smiled and hugged him. "I'm happy to see you."
He hugged her back. "I have something for you."
Limca frowned. "Really? It's not my birthday."
"It's not mine, either." Blushing, Sprite grabbed around his many pockets. Finally, he'd found it. Just as he was about to pull it out, he was interrupted.
"Well, what have we here?"
Limca rolled her eyes. "Great," she muttered. "It's Gart."
Gart sauntered over. "So, sweet thing, how you doin' today?"
"Fine, thanks."
"And the little boyfriend?"
Sprite frowned. "I'm fine. Could you please give us a few minutes? You sort of interrupted something."
"Oh, sorry - didn't mean to intrude. I'll just wait right here 'til you guys finish."
Sprite's blush increased. "Um...uh...never mind. I'll...I'll see you later, Limca." He kissed her on the forehead and trotted off angrily.
Limca huffed off, packed up her stuff, and prepared to run after him.
Gart pulled her aside. "Look sweet thing, we both know he's not your type."
"We both know YOU aren't my type, Gart. Get out of my way."
"Make me."
"She said to move," said Sprite.
Garth turned around and glared at him. "And what are you gonna do about it, small-fry?"
Sprite sat down. "Wait here until you do."
Limca took the chance and darted past Gart. She stood beside Sprite. "If you do that one more time, Garth, we'll BOTH report you to the authorities. Understood?"
"Yeah, whatever, buzzkill." He scoffed and walked off.
Limca trotted beside Sprite. "Thanks for the help. I appreciate it."
"You're welcome. Why's that jerk always here, anyways?"
"He's sort of in charge around here. He's used to getting what he wants. He wants me, and he won't get me."
Sprite nodded.
"I'm taken, by an absolutely fabulous RPW."
His face brightened a bit. "Well, you're pretty darn fabulous yourself."
She leaned her head on his. "I'm so happy you're my boyfriend. I couldn't do any of this without your constant and unwavering support."
He paused, and looked up at her. "So...do you still want it?"
She smiled. "I wanna see what it is, first."
He fished around in his pockets, and pulled it out, hiding it in his paws. "You have to promise to just listen to me before you agree to this or reject it, okay?"
Limca nodded.
"You have been my rock. Whenever I needed support, I'd just turn to you and you were always there for me. You've supported me in every venture I've wished to partake in. You've stuck by my side through thick and thin. Your music is beautiful, but not as beautiful as you are. Your beauty isn't just skin-deep - you are beautiful inside and out. You are the RPW I love wholeheartedly, and one I never wish to leave for the rest of my life." He took a deep breath, blushed furiously, and continued. "If you don't believe any of this to be true, you call me a liar, and I really doubt you wanna do that."
Limca smiled and waited. She knew he wasn't finished.
"Limca...this is your gift." He pulled out a bow and tied it around his ear. "I'm giving you something you've had for a long time now, but I wanted to make this official. You've held my heart in your paws for so long...and I want to give it to you to care for. Please, look after it. It's fragile and delicate, and if you drop it, it'll break and chip. I've been hurt before, and my heart all ready has a few cracks in it...so, please, be gentle."
Limca kissed his forehead. "I accept your gift."
"That's not all, though," he said, straightening up. He pulled a small velvet box out of another coat pocket. He opened it, and inside was a ring. "Limca...will you marry me? I don't want to spend another day of my life without you."
Tears streamed down her cheeks. "You're not kidding?"
"No."
She hugged him so hard he fell over. "Of course I'll marry you!" She suddenly had negative thought. "Oh, but Sprite...I don't have a ring for you!"
He laughed. "You can buy one later."
She slid the ring onto her paw. "It's perfect, just like you."
The two walked home together, more happy than they'd ever been before.
Months later...
Sprite looked at Lola. "I have a question for you, squirt."
"What's up?" she asked, looking up at Sprite. "Besides you, of course."
Sprite smiled. "You know that Limca and I are getting married in a month, right?"
Lola nodded. "I'm glad you finally got over your crush on me. It was borderline pathetic, your drooling and heart-shaped eyes all the time."
Sprite blushed. "Well, I got over you very quickly after you told me your intentions."
"I don't want a boyfriend - never have. I don't know if I'll ever want one. I'm just happy you dropped it after I told you that. Some guys don't know how to back off."
"Well, I would never have made advances if I'd had known then you were a PPS."
"Why? Somethin' wrong with that?" Lola teased.
"No, no...I just mean...uh...I personally couldn't look for a mate in someone who was a PPS. I'd constantly feel like an older brother - not a husband."
Lola smiled. "Well, guess you're glad you didn't end up with me, right?"
"No hard feelings?"
"Absolutely not."
"Good." Sprite smiled and changed subjects. "So, about the marriage..."
Lola sighed. "No, no, let me guess - you want the child protege to play at your wedding, right? Just give me the sheet music now and I'll paw through it. Shouldn't take me long to learn anything you put in front of me."
"Wait, what?" Sprite frowned. "No, we'd never exploit you like that! Lola, you know me - would I really ever ask you to give your talents for not a penny earned?"
"So you'll pay me, right?"
"I don't expect you to do anything you don't want to, squirt."
"Then I don't have to do it?"
"I wasn't asking you to do it, Lola."
"Wait, what?" Lola frowned. "What else would you be asking the child protege - AKA, me? Everyone asks if I can play at their weddings, rehearsals...you name it! That's all I EVER get asked, in regards to large events!"
Sprite smiled, and gently placed a paw on her shoulder. "Would you please come to the wedding?"
"As what?"
"...As an honored guest, Lola."
"Don't you have any one else to invite?"
Sprite looked down sheepishly. "None that I trust as much as you. I mean...uh...my family will all be there, yeah. But..." He swallowed, suddenly nervous. "I don't have any groomsman. I was wondering if you'd like to fill the open spot."
Lola frowned. "I'm a girl."
"I know...it's just that...I don't have any friends that are guys." He looked very self-conscious. "I don't mean to impose or imply that you're tom-boyish or anything - you can even wear a dress! I honestly don't care what you wear, as long as you go with the color scheme Limca's picked out. It's just...Limca chose Azlyn to be her bridesmaid, and she left it up to me to choose one RPW to be my groomsman. I know you're not a guy, Lola, but I'd be honored if you came and acted as my groomsman. You're the only real friend I have, other than Limca and my other family members."
Lola smiled and scuffed up the fur on his head. "Sure, buddy. I'll be there to support you in any way that I can."
"I promise I'll pay you back for this somehow - I imagine you'll be very embarrassed."
Lola laughed. "No way! I'm supporting a friend. Nothing to be humiliated about there."
Sprite smiled, and stood to leave. "I'm glad you're being so understanding about this. Well, I gotta go - Limca wants to have a cake-tasting day today. Personally, I fear I'll get too full before I choose a flavor I like!"
Lola rolled her eyes. "You eat like an elephant. You'll be fine. See you later, buddy!"
"Bye, Lola."
Limca stood, staring at the boat. "Permission to come aboard, Captain?" she called out loudly.
Caspian swung down and stared at her for a moment. "State your name and your business here, woman!"
Limca rolled her eyes. "I'm here to invite Azlyn to my wedding!"
"Azlyn is busy. Come back tonight."
Azlyn then popped her head up. "Limca!" she said happily. She whispered something in the captain's ear, and he begrudgingly allowed her to leave the ship. Azlyn raced down and threw her paws around Limca's neck. "I'm so happy to see you again! I haven't seen you in years! What are you doing here?"
"I'm getting married in about a month. I wanted to invite you to come."
"Of course I'll come! Do you mind if I invite the crew? I promise they'll be on their best behavior...especially if you offer them food."
"Sure, I can do that," Limca smiled. "We have a caterer coming in to cook for the whole wedding party. I'll just need to know how many are in your crew."
"Not my crew - Caspian's. He's the jolly fellow you spoke with before I came down."
"The blue one?"
"Blue as the ocean waves sits Caspian the brave."
"Am I supposed to be impressed?"
"That was his title, before he became Captain."
"What, what do you mean, 'before he became Captain'? What was his job before that?" Limca had a puzzled expression on her face.
"He was a prince! You didn't know that?"
Limca shook her head. "Why, we'd be honored to invite him to the wedding!"
Azlyn smiled. "I'll pass on the word. So, what's the dress-code like?"
Limca handed her a swatch. "Wear any of these colors and you'll be good to go!"
Azlyn nodded and stuffed the swatch into her apron. "So, I'm not cooking, then?"
"I figured you'd be too busy with your job."
"Thanks," Azlyn said with a smile. "Wait, how did you know about my new job?"
"Sprite is good friends with Lola."
"Ah, my old roommate! Yup, she would've told you everything. She's amazing."
"You are too, Azlyn. And that's why I'd like to invite you to be my bridesmaid."
Azlyn's mouth fell open and stayed like that for several seconds.
Limca became worried. "Are you okay?"
Azlyn shook her head, effectively snapping herself out of it. "Heck yeah! I mean, uh...yes, I'd love to be in the wedding. Thank you ever so very much for formally inviting me to partake in such festivities."
"You've been reading too many old books!"
Azlyn smiled. "No, it's the sailors, actually. The Cap talks a bit funny, so we all tend to pick up on certain words and just start to add them to our vernacular. It's just what living and breathing the ocean for several years does to you. Anywho, I'll definitely come! Thank you so much for the invitation!"
Caspian rung the bell. "Azlyn! Please make haste - my crew is getting hungry! Finish up soon, okay?"
Azlyn waved back. "Will do, Cap!"
"What did you call me?"
"Um...uh...will do, Sir!"
"That's better. Now get going!"
Azlyn nodded. She turned back to Limca and smiled. "He's had a rough couple days this week. Found out both his parents died and he missed their funerals because of his jerky brother." Azlyn rolled her eyes. "Now he wants nothing to do with him, and it's made him more grouchy than normal. By the time of the wedding this should all have passed, though. He'll be right as rain in no time. Now, I gotta run - I'll see you at the wedding, Limca. And congrats!"
"Thank you," she said with a smile. "I'll see you at the wedding!"
