Prompt: yes it snows in Larchcreek clan! The weather is mostly chilly year round, with the exception of a ‘green leaf’. What would be a normal summertime to most clans is more of a mild fall to Larchcreek cats. Thought oddly enough the river is always icy; along with a patch of rocks that all year long have patches of snow and frost along them. (64)

Stepping out into the cold, Hallowstar and Miststep trotted over to the creek. Frost was starting to creep over the water and they had a duty to keep part of it thin enough to drink later on in the leafbare. They started to break away the ice and frost but after some time Miststep gasped, "look Hallowstar, we're getting snow this year! I thought it was only from stories!" Hallowstar sighed, beckoning the young watcher with them, "You know what this means, right Miststep?" Miststep looked quizzically at them, trying to remember anything else from the winter stories they've heard. "It means we will have to fortify the grounds, stockpile more food and we will need all the help we can get during so." Miststep sighed, they hated going on hunts, even if they don't always have to chase the prey themselves. Reaching the camp, Hallowstar called for a meeting and explained their soon to be realized plans for the snow was here.

The weather on the island is a mystery, really. Most folks are used to it being consistently warm, although it can change at the flip of a coin - it can go from sunshine, to pouring rain, to freezing snow - it seems this time around that Eyeris thought the island deserved to go through a bit of a cold front this wintertime, so he of course decided to oblige. It's not like anyone on the little island would be able to stop him from giving them snow, anyways.

─ the groves do in fact get snow, they get a good amount during leafbare actually. cats of the groves have learned to make tunnels through the dense inches of snow. during the first moon or two of leafbare is the heaviest of snowfall and hardest on the clan thusly they are prepared and well supplied as the snow settles in as their new roommate.

─ members of the tribe get to enjoy and are acclimated to all sorts of weather. the territory of the groves resides in the center of a mountain top that was believed to once be a volcano though died over centuries, thus mother nature took over to create a beautiful landscape. hidden away from two-legs the only standing structure or proof that they exist is a log cabin with a green house attached to it. winter is freezing and barren as most of the grove trees shed their leaves, leaving the once shaded forest floor exposed. the spring is a gentle and soft transition, it's full of showers as the greenery and warmth returns to the territory, flowers spring into action and most of the open fields across the groves are filled with wildlife. summer is rather hot and often have rainstorms from time to time, the shading of the canopy helps keep the cats cool on the hottest of days. fall is when the wind picks up and brings down the leaves once more from the trees.

Snow is more common than rain in the mountains, and over time one would have to become accustomed to it. Despite it being rather chilly, snow was rather preferred. It made an excellent source of water, as water traditionally was only found in a stream just a ways from base. It makes an excellent coolant for fevers, but can also be used on naughty apprentices. But of course, snow has a few downfalls, as most wouldn't like to admit. Most cats were used to the chill, and snow would be no bother. But crunchy snow? Oh dear, it made awful for hunting. Prey would hear the crunches of snow tail lengths away and flee. It also froze the edges of the river, making it hard for the fisher cats to do their jobs safely.
Blizzards were common, but preferred over a thunderstorm. Every cat knew there was a sense of beauty to the whipping winds and flying flakes, you just couldn't deny it. And if you were to become cold on a deep winter's night, you would just curl up closer to the one's around you. A reminder that winter is only as cold as you want it to be.

Prompt: It only snows if two regions of Cattiopeia: Tokeoc and Nelend. Tokeoc cats come in a wide variety of appearances, which means some are equipped for the cold whilst others need to find other sources of warmth. Luckily these cats have the world tree to provide warmth through magical forces that run through it's large and ever-growing roots. The Nelend territory falls upon the northern volcanic mountain ranges. Thankfully these are inactive during winter, however, it means that the snow falls heavy atop of the mountains and creative an extremely harsh and cold climate. Nelend cats are either muscular and stocky or fluffy and thick-furred, to help with keeping their core temperature comfortable.

Prompt:Does it even snow where your clan is? What sort of climate are your cats accustom to?

Craterclan lives in an area similar to the Deserts in north western Australia So there is rarely rain 2-5 days per moon so snow is borderline impossible! Craterclan is much more used to hot temperatures up to 31°C (87°F) but nights can also get quite cold 4°C (39°F). The seasons in Craterclan's territory tend to be moderately hot and dry in winter to wet and even hotter in Summer! both winter and summer are equally perilous with the heat in summer and the dryness in winter. Craterclan is also somewhat nocturnal/crepuscular (awake and active during twilight/night as that's when the days are coolest (and the prey is most active)

Prompt:
the aurora borealis are used to snow - they live in a colder climate and often deal with it throughout the year. due to this they have adapted to live around the troubles that the snow brings them, building defences and shelters within their camp to shelter them from snow and to keep them warm. the snow and cold doesn't entirely bother them, it can just be slightly annoying at times.

the weather is always the same here. same old, same old. wards upon wards upon wards guarantee deafening silence, weatherless world. it's the same bright, the same warm, the same lack of circulation in the air. nothingness. the tension, though — that's always changing. fluctuating like a broken circuit, high and low, deathly stills and sudden shocks. tension is the weather here.

when the winter season arises, eden transforms into a snowy landscape ━ grounds dressed in ivory and silver; icicles adorned in frost-covered trees; inland waters frozen to a smooth sheen! the cold isn't too drastic or extreme either! there's just mountains of snow that descends harbinging that time of year. it makes the landscape a little tricky to navigate, but eden's cats adapt to it fairly well! at least most of them!
