Murrmeid (#095) wants to try out sky leaping, this is a competitive sport her family took part in but recently has stopped, it's a sport where one swims as fast as they can to the surface to leap outside of the water, someone has their head out to watch and pay attention to the hights they reach, and who ever leaps out the highest wins! It is said her great grandmother leaped so far up she even catched a seagull in her mouth! And when she learned that she has not stopped thinking about trying it!

Abyss is interested in learning how to make stained glass windows. In the ocean, it’s not like you have a ton of use for windows necessarily, but it might be nice to have a wall up occasionally. One that is pretty, and shines beautiful lights onto whatever you’re doing…? Now that sounds lovely. Except that, the materials and tools to make what you want, you’ve gotta go to the nearby coral reefs to get. So abyss has been putting off doing it, since that’s a decent journey and they don’t wanna have to deal with that right now. But one of these days, they’re going to figure out how to make all these stained glass windows, and then it’s all over for you. (/ref)

sangue has been trying to get into oil painting! It's a pretty difficult craft though, sangue finds; it takes lots of time and oil painting supplies cost a fair bit of seashells! despite that, sangue is determined to stick to it and keep trying... the whole process of oil painting is just too magical to give up on, and the way your brush can continue to shape your canvas until the minute you finish is simply amazing, sangue finds. If you come across sangue in your sluggum travels, be sure to wish him good luck in his oil painting!

Baja's main interests and hobbies center around cooking and making fun tea and drink combinations of course, so she has trouble maintaining any other hobbies outside of this interest. However, one hobby that has caught her interest lately and kept it is Seahorse training (much like dog training in the human world)! Baja's pet seahorse, now named Albie, just appeared one day around the coral cove she calls home. This seahorse is friendly and super adorable, however he's a bit mischeivious, often getting himself tangled in seaweed or drifting off after shiny shells in the distance. Despite the challenges on their adventures around the coral cove, Baja found herself captivated by Albie's curiousity and charm.

Training him has become a great new hobby, filled with trial and error, and of course Albie's favorite seaweed snacks for a reward. She's been teaching him simple tricks like looping through coral hoops, and blowing bubbles. They've even started working on more advanced tricks like "seek", where Albie will seek out ingredients for Baja's cooking and tea recipies...though this one is a work in progress! Baja hopes the training will eventually allow them to explore farther parts of the ocean together, without Albie getting distracted by every shell or passing crab. Her training is far from perfect, but Albie's progress has brought Baja a sense of pride and it's become a fun new way for them to bond.

to be honest, viper isn't interested in a new hobby. after all, what's more fun than scamming beach goers out of their shinies with some junk thrown into the ocean that he scrounged around for? but the more he thinks about it, if he's suckering these people out of their shinies for some garbage, maybe he can exchange the shinies for other things? humans use these shinies as currency, he thinks. so yeah, maybe his new hobby will be buying some cheap stuff from humans with these shinies and resell them back at his little shop at the beach... maybe viper's destined to be a businessman after all?

Dale alway wanted to learn to knit! He doesn’t seem the type but he wants to make his own knitwear. He finds the store knitwear to be too scratchy and being able to choose his own yarn would solve this issue as he can feel the softness of the yarn before buying to use. He can also just make what he wants to wear exactly instead of finding something that is close enough.

Applejack would love to try archery! While they are great at physical fighting, often sparring Kelpsie to a match just for fun, they think that archery looks super cool and would love to be able to show off a bit more! Plus, they have a feeling they could make super flashy looking weaponry to put on a show for everyone! And imagine if they could shoot a beachball right off of Shiloh's head! Cool!

My sluggum is interested in trying crochet! They've seen me with my crochet projects and love to sit with me and watch. They like the pattern and movement of the hook going through the yarn and the project! They asked me if I could teach them the basic stitches and if we could go out and buy them their own bright pink hook and yarn! I said of course ❤️

Vela would love to learn underwater basket weaving! After all, baskets are useful, the materials for underwater basket weaving are everywhere, and they could always use the baskets as presents for their friends. It seems like a good hobby to have considering their more nomadic lifestyle, anyway, which is very important.

Mirfak doesn’t have hobbies, per se, but it does find joy in physical activities. It only really uses a sword, but it could be persuaded to pick up other forms of fighting as new hobbies. Archery or some types of hand-to-hand combat would be nice, but it’s usually happy enough with life as-is.

Pageral picks up hobbies like there’s no tomorrow! Crocheting, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, papercraft, finger painting, you name it, he’s tried it, and if he hasn’t tried it, he will be trying it, eventually. There’s even a list in Pageral’s house where he keeps track of his friends’ hobbies so he can learn them, too!

being a regular museum patron and an avid fan of all classical art forms - from sculptures, to music, and, of course, to paintings - Renaissance is just *dying* to try her paw at writing poetry. it's the one medieval art form that isn't easily observed from her trips, and that alone intrigues her!
