Why would you be a good fit for Fishlets?: I really love getting involved with events, community, and being a friendly, recognizable face. I have copious amounts of experience in moderation both on site forums, chat forums, and discord. My day job also has a lot to do with customer experience and event planning in an assistant manager sort of aspect. I also simply really love these little guys and want to see this community and UMA grow!

How active can you be as a moderator?: I can be decently active! I always have discord pings on and while I may not be actively around, I can always be reached. I am also on CS for at least an hour a day if not many more, and I check discord many many times a day. For actual moderation duties, so long as I am not at work (I do work 40 hours a week), I am available to pop in and help. Reasonably able to be active sporadically over several hours a day.
Do you have previous experience as a moderator?: Plenty! I've been in the moderation gang for a while. I am currently a moderator for Pawborough's open beta and a moderator for the LTCS discord server. In the past I have moderated streams for some pretty big youtubers with 1 million + subscribers, have run a writing website as an assistant admin, and have moderated discord servers over many games. I can provide more details privately if needed!

If not accepted in as a moderator, I am also willing to fill in as an archivist and help as much as needed!

Why would you be a good fit for Fishlets?: First, i love this community so far. Meeting everyone has been so fun and I love that were all connecting over goofy little guys. I want to contribute in some way, and I think being a mod will allow me to do that. I can assist with expected mod duties and would love to help with events and more.

How active can you be as a moderator?: I think I said this on my artist app, but if I did not, I work M-F with a standard 9 to 5. That being said, I am frequently checking discord and CS during my work days and can still be relatively responsive so long as Im not elbow deep in a piece of hardware. (Im a field engineer for reference). Weekends are even more open as I love having at least one lazy day and with one ping you will have my full attention.
Do you have previous experience as a moderator?: I think I have almost an overqualifying amount of experience. I have been staff and mod for a number of closed species and discord servers, with my most prominent being a mod, then senior mod, then moderation admin for a petsite. My main duties included assisting with support tickets, handling disputes/arguments, training of new mods to high standards (responses with empathy, responses within 24 hours, to name a few). I also assisted in keeping users safe on site forums. I would prefer to only share the name of said site in private due to harassment issues. I hold myself to very high mod standards as well. I will never leave something sitting with no communication, I will never respond emotionally, if I need to step away, I will do so. Ive been moderating in various communities for about 10 years or so now.
