choice: try to save someone and run away!
response:

Lilac tugs at the wires connected to the youngest brother anxiously, running the test again. The results stayed the same, nothing was wrong. Their brother was mysteriously in a coma-like state apparently and nothing was showing up on any of the tests Lilac was running.
He growled and spun, pacing the length of the lab’s tiled floors and chirped loudly in irritation, tapping his paws against the ground and shaking his head. He could hear June and Crimson conversing in quiet tones from across the lab. Silaus had left to try and pilot the ship to a safe planet to land on.
The Diab turned back to his unconscious brother and walked over, lifting his head with his paws and twisting it gently around parting and looking over his fur trying to figure out what they were missing and what was wrong with him. He ran a paw over the back of Tangerine's skull checking for the hundredth time it felt like for any sort of bump or swelling.
He whined as he felt nothing once again, the fur and bone perfectly normal and fine and nothing felt wrong but everything was so horribly, terribly wrong because their youngest wasn’t waking up.
Lilac slowly dropped his head to the medical table, closing his eyes as he ran through every test they’d done so far trying and failing to see anything that had seemed off or wrong on any of them. He moved the paw that was on Tangerine’s head down to his shoulder blade and shook the orange goobie somewhat harshly with a sharp snarl.
“Wake up.” He snapped, watching as Tangerine only moved with the harsh shove limply, he blinked as he felt a muzzle nudge his shoulder and snapped his eyes towards it with a bleary glare.
Crimson was looking at him with sad eyes, “Lilac stop for a moment, we all need to go get something to eat. It's been hours.” He said gently nosing the younger one away from their comatosed brother.
“Tangerine hasn't eaten either.” Lilac said tonelessly shoving the older diab away which earned him a sharp sad whine in return. He turned his head towards June who was standing a few feet away from them and waited for her to speak knowing she’d voice her own worries if stared down long enough.
June was quiet as she watched them before sighing, “Crimson’s right Lilac, you need to eat. You're running on caffeine and spite as it is right now I'm assuming.” She said looking over at him as his expression shifted to a harsher glare at the betrayal.
He was about to growl at her before the lab doors beeped and opened, letting in Navy and Callisto who were carrying a few bags between the two, Navy put his down and motioned Callisto to do the same while he looked at them and signed ‘I am taking the liberty to assume Lilac’s no food in the Lab rule is abolished for the time being’.
Lilac nodded mutely as Navy nodded back and began pulling premade trays from the bags, setting them out and letting the others grab theirs before motioning Callisto to bring him the other bag they’d brought, tugging some jelly juice pouches from it and tossing them to the others.
“Do we have any idea what we’re going to even do if we manage to land?” June asked as she sat down with her food, the others all grimaced at the question. No doctor would know what to do with their brother, their entire genetic makeup was different from a normal space-wayfarer as it was.
Lilac just looked down at the tray before clicking his claws against the tile, “We’ll just have to do what we do best and play it as it goes.”[633 Words]
