Entry: radio's gaze flickers across the job board with relative disinterest. missing person, missing person, bounty, cross country bodyguard, missing person, another bounty-- a sigh escapes him. nothing is piquing his interest. it's been a few weeks since there has been any steady work and, not that he really needs any rewards, but his body craves the adrenaline of an exciting job. everything here is exactly what it always is, a bunch of boring assignments that offer nothing stimulating enough to keep his attention. the rainbow goobie turns away from the board and towards the tavern where there is quite the interesting sight to behold.

four goobies have procured their own sign and mill around it with excited, shining eyes at anyone who even spares a glance in their direction. radio squints to read the sign-- treasure? he scoffs. there can't be anything like that around here anymore, but a pang of compassion and worry hits somewhere deep inside him. he doesn't want anyone leading these goobies astray, they seem like a nice bunch.

'hey there,' radio crosses to the tavern without allowing himself a second thought. 'treasure huh? sounds interesting.. tell me whatcha got in mind and i'll let you know if i can help you out. how's that sound?'

The four looked in awe at the sheer variety and types of goobies that had gathered around them. From youngsters to old veterans, it was amazing how many simply wanted to sail the seas, and have a good time in pursuit of treasure! "See!" Ahklut exclaimed. "Told ya this was an amazin' idea!" Leviathan gave a gentle sigh, as they looked over the crowd. It was Cecaelia who looked charmed at Chupa. "I love it!' She exclaimed. "You sound exactly like our dad! A pirate through and through!" Angelina meanwhile was waved over by Charybdis. "Of course you can come along! One has to start somewhere an' if you go overboard I'll catch ya in one of my bubbles! You'll be safe and sound with us!"

Reese meanwhile gets a grin by Ahklut. "Oh I like your tone! Deal!" They reply with no hesitation. Atlian is then waved over, as Ahklut notices their curiosity as well. "Come on! Come over! We've got fun planned!" They reassure. "And you look like you could have a great time with us!" Meanwhile all four have a bright smile seeing Kari's hat and wave her over too with happy faces. At Tide's question the kids giggle.

"Of course!" Ahklut replied. "But we're gonna get to that part real soon, wait an' see!" Davina and Lloyd are waved over as well, and with each new potential crew member the excitement grows. Arcus, Asashi, and Kai are all wecomed as well with, "'Course ya can! Get over here!" Caspian is invited to come along, as well as eight more goobies besides that all in small groups! It was starting to look like a full crew now!

All four kids cheer for Baigujing and practically beg them to come along. Well, okay, actually beg! Leviathan than, who seems almost the calmest of the four, looks towards Veen. "Welcome! We would love to have you," he greets, bowing his head a slight. West and Kelpie then are waved over by Charybdis, who is now almost as energetic as Ahklut about the whole thing! Meanwhile Duarte and Silver are met with wide, amazed eyes by all four.

"You know our dad?" Ahklut asked. "Amazin! We're on a treasure hunt to find him somethin' great! So welcome aboard!" Mads is waved over with a cheerful bubble by Charybdis that makes a small rainbow in front of them. Radio gets a grin. "Sounds good!" Ahklut chimes in as one last goobie approaches. "Come on Ringo, we're glad to have you here!"

"Woah, what a turnout! Lovin' that the way of the pirate is alive and well!" Ahklut exclaimed looking over them all. "Now, got a partnership going with the local shop in exchange for some fish later. We all gotta look the part to be a proper crew! Follow me!" Ahklut led the way, bringing the rather large group to a shop that somehow specialized in pirate clothes and accessories. Some were very real, some looked like costume accessories. If one could imagine it, it was there! From hats to boots, birds to eyepatches, braids to hooks, it was here!

"Find yer look everyone! Go wild, I want to see some real sea dogs emerge from this place!"

Chupa, the last one to arrive when the goobs were regrouping, excitedly ran up to the group; now wearing a white off the shoulder rennisance blouse, a black corset paired with black leggings, black cavalier boots, along with a worn black crossbody bag, a brown toolbelt filled with seemingly random trinkets, and a black and silver coin skirt. "Ahoy! I's returned with me proper attire" Chupa exclaimed. While giggling, they pulled a poorly stitched together doublet, made out of various patterned fabrics with colours consisting of pink, blue, and magenta. The doublet somewhat resembled a quilt, but much more poorly made, with uneven stitches, messy seams, unfinished ends, and way too many different textures. As Chupa bounced around in place, they excitedly said "I ran home and fetched me good ol' coat to complete me look!" while holding up the doublet in front of their head, making only their ears visible from the group's perspective. Chupa swiftly put the doublet on over top of their elaborate outfit and put their paws on their hips while lifting their head and puffing their chest. "I's made it me-self!" Chupa said loudly. They put their paws down, lowered their head and chest, and began swaying back and fourth on their back paws in place while swinging their arms, watching in awe as the others of the group showed off each of their outfits of choice.

Tangerine gasped at seeing all the items before them, running and leaping for a grey hat with a big feather flowing off of it, he shoved it on his head and they watched the halo float down to lay around the hats main body the brim resting only slightly on his cardboard horns.

He spun, looking at his brothers with wide eyes and bounded over chirping louding at Lilac asking for help to get the scarf to cover his tail perfectly, if he was going to dress up he was going to do it right and look how he wanted.

Lilac chuckles, pulling and shifting the fabric before jumping as Crimson laid something near his leg, a nice black and purple collar with tattered fabric, probably once a cloak. Tangerine reaches forward to help Lilac put it on as Crimson walks back to the pile, hefting out a cutlass and belt shifting to secure it to his waist.

Navy was holding a small piece of black fabric and sighed, knowing it was pirate themed but also unsure if he really wanted to cover his eye with how sensitive the scars made it.

Crimson flicked an ear and walked over to him gestering to the eyepatch, Navy hesitated before nodding slightly and Crimson helped him tie it back around his head over his scarred eye before grabbing a piece of string and braiding part of Navy's shoulder fur.

"There! We all look piratey now!!" Tangerine exclaimed as he appeared next to the two Lilac laughing softly and adjusting the hat which had tipped on the youngest's head.

Reese stares down Ahklut with a form of disgust behind her gaze. Reese is a sophisticated woman, not some... play buddy. Her ears pin down to her head and she shifts, her nose wrinkling. What was wrong with her current outfit, huh? She's got the bag (albeit small, it could possibly only fit a ring inside of it if they were going to go steal things... but they wouldn't, surely. These are children.) and the earrings and the mind you, very cool glasses she forced Bubs to pay for... what was she missing?

Wait, no, she just said she wouldn't dress-up, she couldn't, she'd rather be caught dead.

... But then again, Bubs would've liked it, right? He would've convinced her in the end anyway. And this was for her own gain, right? Right??

Whatever.

Reese makes her way towards what the four were presenting, lips drawn back and a grumble coming from within her chest. She quickly pulls out a bandana, ripping it into something smaller so she could actually wear it around her neck. She finds clip-on earrings that although are very massive on her, she manages to pull off, and she takes on a bunch of stick-on jewels and sticks them all over her paws and torso. Reese proceeds to take out some face-paint, dabbing a tiny toe in the pink and white to create an aged scar which she applies across her muzzle, before she pulls back and grins something savage to her now companions.

Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.

Maybe she should indulge in childsplay more.

Lucille gathered all the stuff that she had collected over the years to try and make her pirate fit. This is what she came up with:

- A cape with a compass pendant attached to it
- Hair beads

After she finished putting everything in place, she ran to the kids and excitedly showed them what she came up with.
