The color palette is mainly differing shades and hues of warm colors and browns besides one outlier cool color to represent the steadfast and consistent nature of her personality despite the differing flavors of it. The cool color represents the only contrast in her personality.

██ #69140e, Maroon- What anger she does hold runs hot and deep like smouldering coals, and this anger commonly translates into her inner resolve to make her needs known and to stand strong in the face of those who would like to see her fall.
██ #a44200, Traditional Brown- Her personality isn't all roughened edges; the orangish-brown hue signifies her level-head in high-stress situations, but also her somewhat predictable nature when it comes to social interations. She's not the most exciting horse, no, but she is one of the most dependable.
██ #E2AF48, Sunray/Tiger's Eye- The paler golden hue demonstrates her keener traits. Few things escape her notice, and her observant nature has been an asset more than once for her herd. Not to mention, her happiness is like a warm ray of sun to those she loves.
██ #f2f3ae, Vanilla- The pale, milky color signifies, and you guessed it, her blander traits. Though unshakeable where it counts, she doesn't enjoy taking risks if she can help it, and prefers routine over spontaneity. This color does signify her motherly nature though, and the sweet gold tones in the hue hint at a more saccharine nature. And her carefully hidden sweet tooth.
██ #C0DBE2, Columbia Blue- This outlier blue points to quite a few contradictory points in her personality. Though warm where it counts, her disappointment can run cold like frost, and the facade she puts up for strangers is as genteel, frigid, and distant as they come. Her ability to stay solid in tough situations ices her over into a poised sentry.

What is Orion Like?

Everyone thought that Orion would take after his gallant father. He had all the makings for greatness; he was a hardy foal at birth, and the wispy threads on his face marked him as blessed by the mood goddess, the very god that his birth herd worshipped. But, as he grew, it became clear that Orion was to take after his late mother.

Orion is a cautious stallion above all else; no veneer covers his perceived weakness, so he comes across as hesitant in his actions, if not a bit timid. He’s always been the type of horse to think before he acts, but the only downside is that he does a little too much thinking and not enough acting. Though there are those in his herd who commend him for his careful nature, there are also those who condemn him for it as well, citing a lack of spine or resolve.

When it comes to Orion however, that observation couldn’t be further from the truth; his caution turns into prudence and vigilance when the situation calls for it. He’s known for his composed and sophisticated demeanor when tact is necessary. Though Orion cannot boast a completely self-assured attitude, he prides himself on his inherent diplomatic skills. His upbringing as the child of the head matriarch also gives him a regal, almost princely air.

Orion is also exceedingly gentle. His default reaction to new horses is kindness, so he inadvertently attracts new friends even though he’s so shy. His compassion overflows for his herdmates and new horses he comes across, and as a result he can sometimes be too lenient when he needs to be firm instead. Thankfully, his current herd stands at his side to pick up any of his slack.

Due to how he was raised, Orion is also very traditional. Though open-minded, he finds himself tending towards habits that would seem strange to his modern generation. For one, the stallion is very spiritual; he frequently looks to his connection to his birth herd’s moon goddess for guidance and meditation. His spiritual beliefs have also turned Orion to constantly seek knowledge for further enlightenment. His inner drive to seek the truth gives him wisdom and insight beyond his years, but he also appears openly spacey when he gets deep into his personal observations and research. He’s a stallion looking to learn more about his mortal soul, and he finds peace in knowing that there’s no time limit in doing so, especially since he’s always learning something new.

This color palette reflects Orion's personality in the tones and monochromatism of the gradient. Much like purple indicates, Orion is a compassionate and gentle individual, and the monochromatic theme of the purples demonstrates the consistent nature of his gentle attitude, since it's extremely uncommon for him to blow up in righteous anger. He is prone to sadness, however, and the deep purples and blacks demonstrate how his mood can drop if he's left alone or isolated. However, the bright purple indicates his affectionate character when he's happy, and the off-white pearl hue demonstrates his almost delicate attributes. The purple monochrome also hints to his royal bloodline as the son of a well-known matriarch in a spiritual herd. Additionally, the dark purple gradient coupled with the pale pearl color signifies his connection to the cosmos and points to his connection to his late herd's moon goddess.

Competition Portion: Naajah has a broken lasso around her neck because a group of wild horse wranglers in Indian discovered her drinking from a stream of water during the hot summer months but their attempts to catch her failed misterably as she gave it her all and managed to snap the rope whilst catching it on a snagged log, unfortunately though she still hasn’t figured out how to remove the rope from around her chest, she now sees it as an accessory and shows it off as a sign of her brute strength and bravery!

#a75614 = Taken from the colours of her coat - the earthy colour makes me think of someone who is down-to-earth and humble, and is a realistic thinker.
#e5ac22 = Represents a character who is noble and proud.
#5ce522 = A character who is cheerful and positive.
#22bde5 = represents a sense of freedom and free-spirited personality.
#1674be and #be1674 are opposites of each other on the colour hex scale, but also compliment each other - both also compliment the first colour! The dark blue is warm and cool, representing cool-headedness, while the dark magenta represents a kind-hearted personality.
I see Keita as a noble character who is both proud and humble, thanks to her cool-headed and cheerful personality. Her kind heart and free spirit make her an invaluable friend to others!
