No sooner than you can inquire about the suitability of the candy for eating you turn and see Spencer stuffing the sweet treat into his mouth.

You have a bit more hope now that you've calmed down. Taking a few steps further, you hear a splash in the waters and look over to see... a piece of...candy? floating in the river? Surely you're not far off. But the real question is... would you... eat the candy...?

"Hmm, that's strange... I wonder why a candy would be floating in the water.." I wondered quietly to myself.
I walk towards the river and scoop the little candy out, deciding to hold onto it for now in case somebody is looking for it

chiropt knew eating the swamp liquid-drenched candy was a bad idea... but when it comes to science, tests must be done!!! how else would they know the potentially positive or adverse effects if they had left the sweet treat floating forever in the gorpy murk? then again, maybe it was just a regular piece of candy coated in toxic sludge... but just like how nightshade and yew berries were only found out to be deadly in one certain way, they had to try it! it may be a new scientific discovery and another potentially potent poison!

...so far, they wrote miserably in their little notebook, the only symptoms were incredibly horrific tummy ache.

★ Response: Noticing the piece of candy that is suddenly floating in the water, it's very weird that it just suddenly appeared, deciding to pick it up and out of the water as it could endanger life in the water or creatures that wants to eat it, but I definetly don't want to try to eat a random piece of candy that has been in the water.

Marnie stares at the candy, just wondering where it even came from for a bit. When she sees it she was a little excited cause it was candy! But she was also worried about if it would even still be any good with it being in the water. Being as she absolutely loves candy? She decides to actually give it a try! She's hoping it tastes good at least. Though she'll probably soon regret that if it tastes as it looks.... A bit murky looking and dirty from the algea and moss growing around on the wrapper.

Taffy joyfully scoops up the lil piece of candy and wipes away the mucky water. If all appears dry beneath the wrapper, he might just eat it rn..

Jinsei prods at the candy with a disdainful side-eye, and looks at you. 'that thing? are you serious? are you really asking me that?'

god knows what's been crawling on that thing.. oh my god, is that algae peeking out from underneath the wrapper??

Jinsei instantly turns and hurls that thing back, watching it sink beneath the water with a gentle plop. bleh.

After digging for hours, Earendel stops for a moment and realises the sun is shining once again. Whew. He looks at all the treasure he found. A cool rock, another rock, a rusty spoon and... a small rock that looks like a bone.
At this point, his paws are all kinds of brown with mud and dirt, so he goes to the body of water to wash off. There, he hears a sound... Is that candy?
He reaches out and grabs it. If he hadn't been wearing their mask, they'd smell and inspect it closer. Perhaps even... have a taste... But no, this is too suspicious. Throwing it away, Earendel decides to go the way the candy came from.
