response: In wandering the streets, he eventually feels drawn towards the fountain. Being near it brings an odd feeling upon him. Uneasy, considers wither to stay or leave. But his curiosity gets the better of him. When he gets the chance, he leans over to the waters stare at his reflection for quite some time- transfixed.

response: Nathan comes to a halt as he enters the colorful and well-decorated city. The constant bustle of bodies brushing up against him is unnerving, but as his eyes bounce from face to face, it becomes clear that he really is far from his homeland, as he suspected. The typical striped fur he's used to is replaced with a variety of shapes and patterns adorning different fables' bodies. Some even have mystical powers unknown to his world, while others are graced with luxurious wings or other unnatural features. The abrupt change adds to his unease, but knowing that he doesn't have to hide his identity while out among them allows for some lowering of his guard. And, since he's already here and seems to be for a while, he might as well look around and find out what all the celebrations are for.

Nathan starts off roaming the cobbled streets with the goal of checking out the craft stalls after he trots around for a while. This exotic land is sure to have some equally exotic goods for sale, maybe something he can use to calm Dalila down when he gets back home, or at least buy him some time to run. He's certain she's freaking out on everyone and everything as she tries to figure out where he went off to. If he can find something really special, she may fully waive off killing him.

rua isnt entirely sure what, exactly, is going on. she had stumbled across the town last night and the festivities had yet been quiet. she was perplexed to find no open rooms to stay in at any lodging across the city, and ended up settling for breaking the lock and staying the night in what seemed like a summer home of some noble family. she was sure to tidy the spaces she used before leaving - entering unwelcome was rude enough, best not to leave a mess as well.

the morning had barely broken as she set out to explore the events taking place. banners labeled 'sundering day' flittered from every house and corner, and despite the early hour the city was already abuzz with excitement. rua wandered rather aimlessly, and ended up finding herself browsing the market stalls...

the baked goods and jewelry appealed to her most. she picked a trinket from each and every one - don't ask her where the money came from. unfortunately, she couldn't find any smithy booths to peruse - she did so love to study foreign blacksmithing methods.

after having her full, rua wandered about some more and stumbled upon a grand building, emblazoned as the embassy. rua was puzzled - an embassy this large? who were they entertaining? she decided to scope the building out and see who she might find inside.

response: "Ooo!" Star Sparkle squeals in excitement, "Sandri, what shall we look at first?! That fountain looks so pretty! Did you hear them say it's flowing with magic water? Maybe we should go there first-"
"Hold on a minute." Clissandra holds out a hand to stop her friend from immediately charging forward.
Star Sparkle makes a bit of an impatient sound and her hooves shift a bit before she finally sighs resignedly.
"Oooh, ok, what is it, my prudent bonded?"
Clissandra can't help a small, amused smile despite the situation.
"We only just got here and- we don't even hardly know where here is or how to get home. You just signed us up to align with one of these houses and we don't even really know anything about them."
Star Sparkle manages to look a little sheepish.
"Well, but they're all about magic and you saw how pretty their banner was."
Clissandra sighs in exasperation, her hands flying up into the air to underline her feelings.
"OK, ok," Star Sparkle compromises, "How about you choose where we go first."
Clissandra looks a little surprised but not displeased to have won a concession.
"I... think it would be a good idea to check out that embassy building. Maybe we can learn more about this place."
"Sure!" Star Sparkle agrees before looking a little hopeful, "and then maybe we can check out the fountain..?"
Clissandra chuckles and affectionately pats the fable's neck.
"And then the fountain." she agrees.
"Yay!" Star Sparkle half sing-songs as they head into the city to learn its secrets together.

response: Despite the whirlwind confusion of his arrival to the unfamiliar city, Elias is determined to make the most of it. Although in his own land he is a royal price, he hasn’t been recognized as such yet here, and has been quite fascinated by getting to experience the city as a ‘regular’ townsperson might.

The hustle and bustle of the eastern market swept him quite up, and he spent several hours there meandering, chatting, and window-shopping. When he had his fill, he found his way to the fountain, at which he was soothed by the sound of water - reminding him of the ever-flowing streams of his own home. He’ll have to figure out what to do for the night, but for now he is content to rest and enjoy the sunlight, perhaps talk with a few more fables in the meantime?
