Lara swept rapidly past the garden brightened by sunshine, her hands kept busy fixing exquisite white ribbons onto wedding chairs prepared for Sylvia and Odette's marriage. Freshly opened roses and lavender filled the air, with its fragrance hand-picked especially for the soft romantic tone of the day.

She had spent weeks organizing the decorations, ensuring that each detail captured the love and warmth between the two brides. Now, with hours to go before the ceremony, she worked with a determined quiet, tweaking floral centerpieces and double-checking the fairy lights draped between the trees, so that everything was perfect to the tinest dtails.

Lara stepped back to admire the arch where Sylvia and Odette would exchange their vows. The place was perfectly draped in cascading vines and twinkling lights, giving off a touch of elegance and magic. She wished they would like it.

As she put the last arrangement of peonies on the sweetheart table, she was hit with a surge of excitement. The party was about to start, and she couldn't wait to watch her friends' faces light up when they saw what she had designed especially for them.

"By the Author..." Étoilée murmured as she unfurled the invitation to read it, a beat of silence before she called out, never tearing her eyes away from the paper "Mi amor! Come quick!"
Eridani was quick, a flash of concern furrowing her brows, "What is it, love? Are you okay?"
"We have to get ready! Theres a wedding I am invited to and you are my plus one!" Étoilée trilled, leaning into the starry blue vastral, "I hope you have something nice to wear..."
Eridani's concerned expression stayed, she nervously laughed, unable to look at their partner as she pulled away to look at them, "Uhh, of course... of course..."
"...We're going dress shopping," Étoilée spoke, clearly amused by their partners nervousness as they pressed their nose into Eridani's cheek before moving away.
"Yes, my dearest..."

"Love, look, they're asking what decorations they want," Eridani looked over at the invitation once more while they overheard Étoilée rummaging through their items, "Do you think they should pick Cool Shells, Shiny Pebbles, or Soft Petals?"
"Oooh... I mean... they're quite nature-y as a couple, aren't they, mi amor?" Étoilée called back, pulling something out between their teeth as they added, "smft pmphtls, mmm?"
Eridani rolled her eyes as she relaxed her muscles, taking the invitation and finding their way to where their partner was, "My dearest, Étoilée," they spoke, watching as the goldeny vastral stopped trying to pull some fabric out from under a pile, "What did you say?"
"Mmm..." Étoilée mused, sitting as her paws shifted back and forth on the spot; a sign of giddiness that made Eridani soften, to observe them, to love them more than they already did,
"I said soft petals," Étoilée finally gave a response, "It... i dunno, it seems to suit them."
"Mmhm..." Eridani hummed before shaking their head a little, as if snapping themselves out of a trance; even if they have been together for a while, sometimes, it feels like they fell in love with their partner for the first time all over again, "I'll mark the choice, theres more we need to answer before we can send the rsvp but..."
Looking between this piece of fabric and Étoilée, Eridani chuckled, "Do you need some assistance?"
"...Pleaaaaase-"
"Alright, alright, my love, i'll help."
