A group of troublesome Goobies happened to be visiting the cove at the same time as the group of want to be pirates were looking for crew memebers.

Arcus, the leader of the group, pointed out the sign.

"Whoa, guys, look!" He points a paw to the sign, directing the attention of the other two Goobies with him to look that way.

"Oh, cool!" Kai, the older brother of the two twins replied, "We should join!"

"Doesn't it seem a little risky, though?" Asashi, the older sister, replied.

Arcus gave them both a small nudge. "C'mon. It'll be fun! Haven't you ever wanted to go and find treasure?" He asks them both while looking between them.

Asashi on his left still seemed hesitant while Kai on his right was excited to try it.

"Plus..." Arcus started to add, "I don't feel all that good putting graffiti up in a place as beautiful as this. It ruins the vibes, you know?"

Both twins then give an understanding nod. They all enjoyed putting graffiti up and around all sorts of places but they were at least respectful with their art.

"Okay, then," Asashi said, "Let's do it. But if something goes wrong, it's your fault Arc."

"I can live with that~" Arcus replied with a hum before dragging both twins in to go and introduce themselves.

"Hey there~" He greeted the other group. "You're looking for people to go hunt some treasure right? Then we might just be your goobs. Kai here-" Arcus lotions to the blue Goobie at his side who shoots finger guns at them. "-is very good at distracting people if you need a fast get away."

He then points to Asashi. "And this here is Ashi~ She's good at keeping everyone out of trouble. If you need someone with a stern head who can keep people organised and on track then she's your gal."

"And me? Well I'm not all that good in anything really but I know a few tunes and some games to pass the time if you're bored on a trip. So, what do you say? Can we join?"

Llyod grinned big as Davina agreed to help him find treasure! “You may be hesitant now, but trust me, when we strike treasure you’ll be thanking me!” Llyod exclaimed proudly, puffing out his chest slightly. Then it only just registered what Davina had said- “oi, I know my eyesight is bad but at least I have the ability to pick up our found loot” Llyod replied with a teasingly tone, spreading out his paws and weighing out each individual finger. He heard a deep sigh from Davina, but she seemed to crack a smile too. He knew she knew it was all just banter, definitely no harmful intent behind their statements.
“Rate my pirate impression, okay?” Llyod said as he cleared his throat. “Arh mateys! It’s ‘ye captain, Llyod Silvertooth!” He said with his best raspy voice and a cheeky grin. “Ya wanna know why they call me Silvertooth? Well laddy, you probably don’t wanna!” Llyod said trying not to break character by laughing. He flashes his teeth, pretending his mouth was littered with fake silver teeth. “Let’s just say, those who cross me become gummy worms” he added with an intimidating tone.
Davina rolled her eyes, laughing throughout his introduction. “Not convincing at all” She claimed, still laughing. Llyod gasped loudly, “I’d like to see you do better!”

three, lotan, and cordelia gathered around the sign, taking interest in its offer. all three of them had quite an interest in the sea, and were intrigued about what being pirates with a bunch of strangers would be like. “so uh,” began lotan, “where do we go if interested? the sign doesn’t really give-”

the diab was interrupted by an unfamiliar voice. “interested in what?!” the unknown goob inquired. quickly turning around, the trio saw an orange and turquoise diab. “oh.. hi!! i’m neptune! uh.. what’s this about?” cordelia explained what their plan was as everyone else introduced themselves.

“i’ll gladly join!! if that’s okay! i wanna be an awesome pirate and find epic treasure!!!” neptune jumped around in joy.

three softly smiled. “absolutely, that’s alright. welcome to the crew, neptune,” he nearly whispered. “perhaps that goob,” he pointed his tail in the general direction of akhlut, “could give us more information. plus, there are others over there. a small crowd, even,” he added.

Navy looked at the sign confused, Tanergine having dragged the other brothers over his wings fluttering in the air as he bounced up and down looking at them.

"Please?" Tangerine asked sitting down and shooting doll-eyes at the oldest who grimanced glancing over at Crimson who wasn't paying any attention and was looking around the tavern curiously muttering with Lilac over- wait, were they talking about the decor choices??

"Navy!" The youngest whined glaring now and Navy sighed, looking the sign back over.

He hesitated before nodding and watched Tangerine bark and hop up startling the other two with his screech of excitement.

Veen sighed softly.
I suppose someones got got watch over them.
And honestly, how bad could it be? I've gone on ships before... I've met pirates before! Whats the harm in playing along?

...huh. thats not something i expected to say ever. Like.. thinking that something isnt harmful. That it isnt bad to make friends.

Heh, guess ive finally started to relax.. took a while.. a lon while.
I guess our trio and Songs family have rubbed off on me.

...Maybe i can finally make friends?

Veen these are children, please! What could they do to you?

But what about the others– NO not following that train of thought.not today. Not after i felt proud of myself for finally opening up.

She decided to present herself, getting closer.

"Həllo! I- My names Veen..? I uh- yeah. I think its be good to tag along for.. security reasons! So we can get to that treasure faster and safer! Ive been on ships and met a few pirates before i think... so that maybe could be useful?"

Duarte found this all kind of silly, he didn't need to go along with some wannabe kids- but he also kind of wanted to go along with it, mostly to support them and encourage their path. It was his job as an infamous pirate after all... or something like that. "Ye sprogs are definitely doin' somethin' interestin' here, 'n I'd be less o' a pirate if I dared nah at least follow ye." The smaller goobie next to Duarte gave a nervous laugh. "Maybe tone it back on the early english, captain. We're here to help the kids, after all. An' neither of us know how much Jason's taught 'em." Duarte just laughed, mostly to himself.

"Well, My name is Silver- and this here is Duarte. We're friends with yer dad, or well- I'd say we're friends of some capacity, so I think he'd appreciate us keeping an eye on you lot- but don't get it twisted, we're still here to help and not to be sticks in the sand."

Maddi trotted up the weekly bulletin board, seeing if any new ads have been posted since her last visit. To her surprise, a few have! Although a few were added, one in particular caught her eye. Pinned to the large cork board was a tan paper with big black text on it reading, ‘WANNA BE AN AWESOME PIRATE AND FIND EPIC TREASURE? WE'LL TEACH YOU, ASK US HOW!’. Maddi thought to herself, “Would it be childish if i went…? Eh who cares! I need to get out more so why not?”. The pastel goobie read the rest of the paper, ripping a tab off of the paper with the information needed to attend.

Once the time has come, Maddi was all decked out in her pirate gear, wearing doubloon earrings, a red and white striped bandana, and even a small pirate hat! Did she go all out? Of course she did! Who wouldn’t? On her way to the location of where the group would meet up to go on their hunt, Maddi passed multiple goobies also decked out in their pirate gear, showing that others were just as excited as she was! Once arriving to the location that was printed on the tearable piece of paper, she came upon a massive group of goobies of all ages! Some hadn’t dressed up, but the ones who did went all out! Maddi seeing this, she smiled to herself, knowing she wasn’t silly for dressing up as a pirate when she herself was an adult.

Once the majority of everyone arrived, everyone started introducing themselves, Maddi taking in all of this new information with her new crew! Once it was Maddi’s turn to introduce herself, she kept it short and simple. “Hi everyone! I’m Maddi, but you can call me Mads! I run a couple little stalls on the main island, some of you may recognize me from the Reef and Greet booth from last year!” She paused, not wanting to be too quick with her words, “I’m super excited to be here with you guy!” the goobie ended with a smile. Quickly after her small speech had ended, the goobie to her left started introducing themselves. Maddi knew she would have a great time but she did think further about something… What treasure will they find?
