T Locus

Note: T locus genes will not show on puppies, only adult stages of dogs. T locus genes do not affect white from merle markings.

t - No Ticking/Roaning
tt - No Ticking/Roaning
Tt - Ticking
Trt - Roaning
Tdt - Dal Ticking

Dogs with white markings and no ticking or roaning will have solid white markings.
Some examples of no ticking/roaning, no ticking/roaning, and even more no ticking/roaning.

T - Ticking
Tt - Ticking
TT - Heavy Ticking
TTr - Ticked Roan
TTd - Ticked Dal

Dogs with white markings and ticking will show small, semi-transparent to transparent holes in their white markings.
Some examples of ticking, ticking, and even more ticking.

Tr - Roaning
Trt - Roaning
TTr - Ticked Roan
TrTr - Roaning
TrTd - Dal Roan

Dogs with white markings and roaning have white markings that are faded, allowing the pattern underneath to be visible.

TrTd - Dal Roan
TdTd - Dal Ticking

Dogs with white markings and dal ticking will show large, semi-transparent to transparent holes in their white markings resembling dalmations.

U Locus

Dogs without urajiro have normal colored undersides.
Some examples of no urajiro, no urajiro, and even more no urajiro.

u - Urajiro
Uu - No Urajiro
uu - Urajiro
uuX - Urajiro

Dogs with urajiro have their face and undersides lightened with their C locus color, which can go over pigment.
Some examples of urajrio, urajiro, and even more urajrio.

uX - Extended Urajiro
UuX - No Urajiro
uuX - Urajiro
uXuX - Extended Urajiro

Dogs with extended urajiro have their face, neck and undersides lightened with their C locus color at a greater extent than regular urajiro, which can go over pigment.

Shorthaired dogs have short fur.
Some examples of shorthaired, shorthaired, and even more shorthaired.

fe - Feathered
Ffe - Shorthaired
fefe - Feathered
fefl - Feathered
fefh - Crested

Feathered dogs have short fur over most of their body with some longer fur on their undersides and tail.
Some examples of feathered, feathered, and even more feathered.

fl - Longhaired
Ffl - Shorthaired
fefl - Feathered
flfl - Longhaired
flfh - Maned

Longhaired dogs have long fur.
Some examples of longhaired, longhaired, and even more longhaired.

O Locus Genes:
OO - Full Tail
Ooh - Half Tail
Oob - Bob Tail

Dogs may have full tails, half tails, or bob tails.
Some examples of full tail, full tail, even more full tail.

Some examples of bob tail, bob tail, and even more bobtail.

R Locus Genes:
RR - Straight Tail
Rr - Straight Tail
rr - Curled Tail

The R locus changes the shape of dogs with full tails and half tails. The shape of bob tails are unaffected.
Some examples of curled full tail, curled full tail, and even more curled full tail.

Some examples of curled half tail, curled half tail, and even more curled half tail.

Lethal Gene Combinations:
If a puppy rolls for any of the below combinations for the O locus they will not be designed and may result in empty litters.

Dogs with vitiligo have part or all of their pigment lightened to white, usually starting on the dog's head. The dog's C locus color is unaffected.
