There was a lot of wood to be found, but almost none of it useable. Even the scraps you managed to find that seemed dry enough ended up being far too wet to burn- it must've rained recently, or perhaps you just had strikingly bad luck.

The clearing had a decent amount of usable twigs and leaves. Not quite enough to start a true bonfire, but Kypt certainly appreciated your effort! The kindling won't be used for the initial fire, but will be thrown in if the fire starts to sputter.

You manage to find a small gaggle of three lambicorns that you're pretty sure are the firewood crew- they weren't hard to locate, considering how loudly two of them were arguing. They apparently couldn't agree on which direction the bonfire site was, as apparently Kypt's instructions were vague. Honestly, you're not surprised. You help escort the crew (and their firewood) to the bonfire site. Kypt thanks you profusely, handing you a decent handful of candy, since he now has enough firewood to get things started!

Kypt piles the firewood dragged in by the firewood crew onto the bonfire... and accidentally ends up completely smothering the few remaining embers in the process. Whoops?

He hovers nervously over the firewood. "Oh dear, oh dear, oh gosh. Phlebas got it going for me, and now it's gone. Oh gosh." He looks back over to you with a pleading expression on your face- looks like your help is still needed.

"Could you do me a big favor and try figuring out how to start the fire? I'm not, uh, very good at that type of thing. I have a few ideas, though so at least you're not going into this blind? Uh."

"I can't really leave here and go myself, I have to supervise, yes, but maybe you could ask around, maybe bug the other booth-runners for a match, or a lighter. They might have one? I'm uh, not supposed to use those, long story, but you probably can!" He gestures towards the direction in which most of the Reverie activities were being held. Hopefully someone there was more prepared than your moth-host was.

"Oh, oh we have some sticks here, and rocks... maybe you could try using those to start the fire yourself? I'm not sure how it works, but I've seen it in movies before? It can't hurt to try, yes." There are indeed plenty of sticks gathered in a convenient pile, along with a smattering of rocks (that would need to be gathered and sorted still), so maybe it could work if you can figure out how it's supposed to work.

"Phlebas! Right, yes, it started the fire in the first place- they've got plenty of fire, plenty of it. They're in the forest, but if you find them you could possibly convince them to do it again? I'm not sure if they're willing, hm, Phlebas is touchy at times... But I'm sure you can manage!" Kypt proceeds to give a detailed but confusing series of directions to find said lambicorn. You aren't sure if you'll be able to remember the directions, but it's an option all right.
