"No matter what you do, no matter who you hurt or what you turn out to be, I'll always love you."
Link knew he wasn't a very good person, all of the time. It wasn't that he didn't WANT to be, he tried really hard to be good. But with your mom being a very mischievous demon, and your dad being a super ditzy prankster, accidents happened. Frequently. Link hadn't formed very close relationships so far because of this, outside of his family and other demons. He just didn't wanna end up saying something mean to someone important, or cause a bad accident to a friend. So when he was asked who was important to him, he had to think really hard. But he hadn't needed to, because it didn't take long to come up with an answer and when he did, it seemed so obvious.
"My dad" he said, a smile already forming on his face. "I'm not the best at keeping out of trouble, and I've ended up hurting quite a few people both on accident and on purpose. It's... hard to make friends with people when you've got my particular demon powers. But no matter what I did, or what I got up to, or who got hurt or what trouble I'd caused, my dad would always be there for me. Mom loves me for sure, but she's... distracted. Not the best at emotional connection. My siblings are great, but they can't quite relate to my wish to not cause trouble for others, they're much too outgoing. Dad however... he's always supportive. He's always there to console me, give advice, help me out of trouble, or perhaps just someone to hide behind when I get shy. He's such a fun and loving person and I don't know how he ended up with a son like me... but he's always made sure that I know he loves me very much. He's always believed in me and that I can be better, and he's my rock when it gets tough. I would give anything to protect my dad and his happiness."
