Workshop Three - Day Two Exercise
Who is your kalon's enemy/least favorite person? How did they come to feel this way about them?
Spruce prefers not to make Enemies, but sometimes it happens during a scientific debate or general conflicts of interests. Anyone who mistreats children, he hates with a passion due to him being slightly neglected as a child. His mom is one of his least favorite people but the relationship is now healing as he understands she must work all the time to survive, especially with his dad's psychological condition adding expenses. Luckily, they understood Spruce needed a good home, so they let him live with his grandparents a large portion of his childhood instead of just abandoning him.

Workshop Three - Day Three Exercise
Besides their best friend, who else is your kalon friends with?
His current girlfriend, who is also his close coworker.
What qualities does your kalon look for in a friend?
Someone who is not too demanding, level headed, and intelligent or looking to learn. He also likes kalons who are not too edited for purely jealous reasons but this he can get over.
What qualities does your kalon dislike in a friend?
Ignorance or assertion that comes off rude or unstable.
Would they risk their life to save a friend? A stranger?
Possibly a friend or mate but not a stranger. As a kid Spruce valued his life less and probably would, but he gained some self confidence as an adult and pride, which is good but leads to him being slightly more selfish in some aspects.
Is it easy or hard to earn their trust? Why?
Depends on who the Kalon is. If he thinks they are talking about him, he may never open up ever. He is very scared of being used or invited into a group to be laughed at, so he is very trusting of shy loners than large groups. His trust ranges from 0-100. When accounting for more than just first impressions, he's decently trusting in those that are kind to him, but not to the point of being too gullible.

Describe their pet/companion:
Ferdi is a macaw parrot consisting of a wide range of colors. It seems to enjoy looking at Spruce's work as if it approves what he is doing. It's named after Ferdinand Cohn, a microbiologist. Like a cell, Ferdi is simple but accomplishes so much.
How did they meet their pet/companion?:
Spruce was downhearted after his recent pet Finch died and he feared getting a new pet. Spruce did not want to be let down again, forced to outlive bird after bird. He felt guilty, as though he were killing the birds. However his grandparents noticed his mood change without his finch around to encourage Spruce. They saw that he seemed more shy and afraid of being judged for his looks. He no longer had his colorful counterpart. They saved up and got him Ferdi, a macaw with a much larger life span. To Spruce the year count didn't matter though. He now had a companion who would light the way when all colors were lost. Now Ferdi still is around to inspect the new plants Spruce brings into the house and the new birds (even Finches) that join the household.

A colorful macaw named Ferdi.
How did they meet their pet/companion?:
(Typing in the last few minutes, didn't really have time)
Originally Spruce owned a finch but when it passed away, his grandparents noticed how dishearted he was. They bought him a macaw that should live longer to help Spruce get over his fear's and gain confidence. It still lives with him as an adult.
