Should we keep the rule that CCs should normally have snow leopard tail markings?

Shenanigans~ wrote:Alright, thank you for updating that! (: I do have a quick question; do our 2-month customs count for us adopting once per week?

1.) Perhaps simply require them to have snow leopard marks somewhere on the body? Like maybe some have it on one leg or the face? Though I like the idea of stripes, rosettes, or both.

2.) I'd say maybe make a few females then leave it and see if it balances out. I know that my first custom will be a male, though that's mainly because I already own a female and don't really need another.

3.) I like the #50-60 idea better than just one, personally. I'd do one very rare for #100.

4.) I'd say make customs a paid thing. I don't know about any other artists, but I'd rather get at least a little bit of something from all the work that goes into customs.

5.) Hmmm... I could try my hand at it if you like.

The week you make your custom, you can't adopt, but you absolutely can adopt every other week of that month. Basically it's "You can have one new CC a week, by whatever means."

I actually really like that idea! It would keep with the Snow Leopard theme, without being quite so limiting on the tail design. We'll see what everyone else thinks but currently I'm all for it.

I think that's probably best. We're running at half the number of females at the moment, so my last five or so have been females, but I don't want to limit it completely, because some designs just seem....masculine, weirdly.

Again, for this we'll see what everyone else thinks, but it would be nice to do a little mini event sort of thing.

I'm okay with people charging for customs, as long as we also do custom events for people who don't have the resources, and don't make the prices ridiculously high, like 3 rares or something. I think it might be best to leave this to individual choice; if you want to offer customs for a few CS Pets, just let me know and I'll add it to the front page, just as long as we don't abandon free CCs in the process.

If you feel confident enough to do so, that'd be great! I'd love to see it ^.^

That clears it up! Another question (sorry D: ) ; I must wait two months before making a custom as of now, correct? Since I'm a new artist? Or may I make one, say, next week and then another two months after that?
Just a suggestion here: I think that we should make our custom slots for ourselves and custom slots for others separate, especially since it's one custom every two months. Perhaps we could make ourselves a custom every two months and a custom for another player ever 2-3 weeks? Just a thought. It just seems a bit... More fair? For both parties this way (: Then the artists won't have to feel guilty over making themselves a custom instead of offering it to someone else to make their dream CC.

I'm glad you like it! I hope the other artists like it just as much. It's a bit difficult to fit leopard spots on every design's tail without copying another e.e

Eh, it's not weird. Some designs just seem like they should be males. I know my CC seemed like she just had to be a female, even though I prefer male characters (pshhh, even though I'm female xD).

I honestly love little events in adopts. It gets the community involved and the artists can have fun with making special designs.

Alrighty! I think there should be a pricing system on complexity and edits though. I wouldn't do a custom with accessories, different antlers, and a super complex design for one rare just as I wouldn't charge four rares for a CC with no edits and a simple design.

I'll get started right away! (: Would you like me to do them under the actual adopts or somewhere separate?

Ask all the questions you like ^.^ No, you absolutely can make one now! stevvonnie made their Artist competition entry into their first custom. If you make one now, you can make one again in July! And yes, if we're going to offer customs for payment, it absolutely becomes a case of having different limits. Currently the limit is one per two months on the basis that they're a free perk for Staff, but once paid customs become a thing the only limit on that will be how many each artist wants to take on at once.

Absolutely! Even my own designs are becoming eerily similar =/

My feelings exactly! My recent siamese-based design just felt like it had to be male.

Hopefully, that'll happen with this one, too! Though our community's kinda...small.

You're absolutely right, yes. I think I'll let each artist work out their own individual pricing, and then let public peeps decide who they'd want to pay for. We may have to impose a limit on what type of customs, however; we don't want too many "rare" CCs being made.

I'm glad you don't mind all my question-asking. I'll stop after I'm 100% comfortable with all the staff and community haha. Well, I should get started on my custom boy, then! He's probably going to be a lot of me testing accessories out. Ah, alright. I'd be okay taking on 4 custom slots at once, on the premises of different pricing for different rarities, edits, and complexity of the general design.

I think all of your designs are very unique, even with all those leopard tails. Very tempting haha. I absolutely adore your deer-inspired adopt, though I'm biased. I love deer... I mean, my CS hoard of them is sitting at 453 right now, and I have at least one of every deer on here. Just wish I could hurry up and get to 500! (Though I will never be satisfied with the number. It'll just keep growing forever :b)

I always feel like most Siamese designs have to be male. Though both of the Siamese cats I've owned have been male, so that might just be me. (...On the subject of cats, here's a photo of me new ragdoll, Abbey; http://imagesw.pizap.com/hamsterjennypi ... 576677.jpg)

It'll grow! Adopts always start out small (:

Of course. I wouldn't want a ton of rares around either. They should always be something special, or expensive.

No, I'm loving it! It allows me to figured everything out just right, as well.

I, too, should get on to designing my custom lad. I know exactly how he'll be, I just have to wait til the 13th before I can have another CC.

4 slots sounds like a good, healthy amount.

Oh, thank you! I have a lot of ideas - and steal a lot of patterns from nature! And hey, you absolutely can apply for the Deer one, it would just mean postponing your custom by a week. I'm glad you like it! Good luck on your hoard, too - I know how difficult hoarding can be.

I like the juxtaposition between really suave, elegant, silky Siamese with the idea of masculinity, I think. Also, cute ragdoll!

Here's hoping!

Absolutely. I'm thinking I may have to write up a list of what's Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra rare, that sort of thing.

Well I'll make sure to ask questions whenever I have them, then.

I'll be waiting to see him, then! : D

Four is my go-to number for some reason. Entering a raffle? Use 4, 44, 444, or 666 if there are enough slots to do so! I have no idea why I use 4 for everything xD

Hehe, no, I'll leave her for someone else to take <3 I can't have everything deer, right? Fortunately, there are just so many CS deer that I get quite a lot of them. It wasn't even that hard getting the VR Store Pet deer once I actually tried. But thank you for the luck! It's always welcomed haha.

I love it as well! I actually have a male Siamese character and he's probably one of my favorite characters I own. Thank you! Someone actually dumped her outside my house. Best piece of "trash" that's ever been thrown here lol.

That would be helpful! (:
Also, you didn't answer my question earlier (no fault to you; I know I've been asking a lot of questions and I don't expect them all to be answered right away) ; Would you like me to put the nursery lines under the main adopt thread or somewhere else?

Thank you!

I'm much the same with the number 7, oddly. 7 just sounds right for me. Though I could never take on 7 custom slots o.o

Well, I hope someone will take him; no applications so far!

Aww, it always astonishes me that people can be so unkind to other living beings. But I'm glad she found a good home instead.

Oh, so sorry! If you could put them underneath the "Breeding Grounds" picture, that'd be great! We'll have to make sure the numbers all match up and stuff, but little baby CCs would be adorable.

7 slots would seem a bit excessive xD

Well, if no one enters by the time his competition is over, you know where to find me lol.

Ugh, I know, right? Especially getting to know this little one, I have no idea how anyone could ever throw her away. But I'm glad she's part of my life now. She's currently trying to keep me from doing the baby CC lines.

It's alright! Thank you for the link (: I'm working on them now!
Edit: Or rather... I will work on them once you add me there lol.

So! I am opening up paid Custom CC designs for anyone who wants to take them on!

There are some rules:

You can only take CS Pets or Items. No off-CS currency, or any C$.
For every two custom CCs you do, you have to draw up a free adoption.
They have to be done in first-come, first-served order, so the first person to pay gets their CC first.
Please post the Customs on the main lines underneath the main drawing - it makes numbering easier that way.
For now, we'll only be offering common - uncommon CCs for customs. This may change.

All I need from everyone who wants to start offering customs is:

How many slots you want to offer
Your payment list
Your rules

and then I'll add you to the customs post!

Thank you all~
