My word, SpotSong, that's just about every horse color out there and then some xD I'll see what I can do!

Don't you worry, Mrs. M c; I actually intended to include Paints under stock breeds -- I will be making more! They're just so time consuming that I've got to find a good amount of time to make them well ^^

While looking over the stats of the horses, I was wondering if some services could be offered to help increase some of them. Specifically, Feet and Coat. A farrier could easily be invoked to help bring the feet stats up - each 4-8 weeks a farrier service could be paid for to enhance the quality of the feet - a point each time? Could a special feed come in to play to enhance the coat quality, some sort of oil, bran, supplement?
It might be more work on your end, but there could be a chance that something goes wrong which decreases the quality of the feet. And if the farrier is not used within a time limit - over 8 weeks for example, the feet quality would decrease.

You know, I'd honestly considered doing something like that, but keeping up with each horse's condition would be incredibly difficult ^^' I had vetting involved at one point too, but that just ended up being too much for me to worry about xD We've got almost forty horses now and I doubt that'll be slowing too much anytime soon, so unfortunately it'd probably be difficult to enact :c It's a shame, because I really do like that idea!

I suppose one way we could try out would to have limited stock of those items (a coat supplement and a hoof supplement, since technically all horses ought to have a farrier ^^). I could maybe have 3 available on the front page under "accessories," and the first three who posted a form for them would get a point added to a horse's feet/coat? I'll have to think about it, but we might be able to make it work if there aren't any downsides and it isn't on a schedule for me to remember xD

I completely understand. I believe that's where coding usually comes in.

Maybe it could be part of the monthly/weekly deduction from each barn.
Pay a fee for basic, advanced or complete(?) care.
Basic would be no added services.
Advanced would be maybe a point added to the qualities affected - feet, coat
Complete would add another point.

Each would be a different price with basic being the lowest and complete the highest.

Having - whoever replies first comps - are hard for users who don't have the same time allowances as others. I do think that the random number draws are an excellent way to combat that along with a 24 hour time limit - it compromises for both the time sensitive nature while allowing a larger amount of people to vie for it.

Oh my word how I'd love to make this into a coded sim... Gotta focus on that for Shelter Saviors first

I do like the idea of the random drawing after a 24 hour period -- I hadn't thought about that with people unable to get on, although I'm starting to recognize that as a problem for rescues as well ^^' I'll certainly be thinking about adding that -- the problem is where it takes place, as having 20 people post numbers may be considered spam xD Perhaps I'll have them PM the numbers to me and list which ones have already been taken?

You know, I was thinking about the items to improve coat,feet,etc.

What about the Associations having their own little shop where members can buy what items they need for the horses registered there? (I.e. Native Pride Paints would have a shop section which could sell products to improve the stats?) then it would be up to the owners and the association owners to keep up with the REVC currency?



Also....I completely forgot what else I was gonna post....
