What Are Rainen?

Rainen are canine-like creatures that posses the ability to live and breath both above land and under water. They tend to live next to large bodies of water in various sized groupings called pods. They have a canine body and figure, but they have fins similar to a webbing. These fins are to create a more streamlined affect when swimming, but they can be retracted (or be laid/flattened) when on land. Male Rainen hold a pair of pointed horns or ram-like horns on top their heads to use as weapons to protect the members of their pods. Females have horns as well, but theirs are stubs and are for nothing more than aesthetic. Rainen have large ears, which allow them to have a spectacular sense of hearing. They can smell blood in the water from a mile away, but their slitted pupils offer tunnel vision-like sight. These creatures can breed up to six times with different mates each time. Though Rainen seek the company of a single mate, they tend to reproduce with various others in hopes to create more diversity.
