It's the second day of your stay with the wavetail cats, and you are quite enjoying yourself. Annabelle meets you at noon to show you another place that she thinks you'll 'love'. She leads you past the directory and to a medium-sized cave made of peach-colored coral. Once inside, you are greeted by a soft pink wavetail. "Hello!" She says in a dreamy voice. "I am Layla. Welcome to the Breeding Cave!" She leads you past a shelf of heart-shaped bottles and over to the main room. "This is where you can breed two of your wavetail cats! Let me show you around."

"Just like everywhere else," Says Layla, pulling a list from behind the desk. "We have some rules here. Please be sure to follow them!"

1. Please fill out your entire form.
2. You may only have three (3) breedings that include your own wavetail(s) going on at once.
3. You may absolutely not repost or quote your breeding. You can be sure we've seen it.
4. Do not ask if your breeding is finished. When it is, your artist will announce that it is so and give you the codes.
5. Wavetail Cats mate for life. This means that if your wavetail has already been bred, it cannot breed with a different mate.
6. If you are breeding your wavetail with a partner's wavetail, your partner must have agreed to breed them.
7. Please keep in mind that 2nd Generation Wavetails can only breed once, and 3rd Gen's cannot breed at all.
8. If you are a breeding artist, you must receive permission from { Saphira } before you make the kits for your own litter.
9. Do not prod the artists to finish your breeding. We all have lives too!

"So," You ask. "How does this whole breeding thing work?"
"It's quite simple actually," Layla replies. "Though it may take me a bit of time to explain."

To breed your wavetail cats, there are two things you need. One is a pair of wavetails, of course. You can breed one of your wavetails with a partner's wavetail, or you can breed two of your own wavetails. The wavetails must be male and female, obviously. One more thing- PPS wavetails can breed (More about this in the FAQ).

The second thing you will need is a breeding item, or more specifically, a Love Potion. Love Potions can be purchased on the main thread only, and are necessary to breed your Wavetail Cats. The amount of offspring you get depends on the potion used.

A Love potion. Using this will result in 2-3 offspring. It can only be used once. Costs 150 "
"A super love potion! Using this item will result in 4-6 offspring. It can be used only once. Costs 210 "

Wavetail Cats mate for life, so once your Wavetail has found a partner it cannot breed with anyone else.

Once you have your supplies gathered, you will need to fill out a form. You must fill out the whole thing. A breeding artist will then begin to work on your litter. This can take anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks, so you must be patient.

Once your litter is finished, the artist will post it on this thread. If you are breeding your wavetail with another member's, then you two must decide who gets what.

Q: I heard that PPS Wavetails can breed. Why is this?
A: PPS Wavetails are different from most other PPS. This is because they are actually adults, but maintain their kitten-like characteristics their entire lives. Breeding two PPS Wavetails will not always guarantee that their offspring are PPS.

Q: Why can I only have 3 breedings going on at once?
A: Breedings can be a difficult thing to keep track of, especially when there are a lot of them. This rule was created so that artists could have an easier time keeping track of litters, and so that everyone has a chance to breed their wavetails.

Q: Is being a breeding artist different from being a regular artist?
A: It is. Breeding artists are artists for this thread specifically, and regular artists are specifically for the main thread.

Q: Can I be both a regular artist and a normal artist?
A: Yes, you can.

Q: Can I choose how many offspring I get from my litter?
A: No. However, the potion that you use does play a part in determining how many offspring may be in your litter.

Quick question,can I buy a super breeding poition? I have enough Sanddolllars and in main thread,it said it was a WIP,but you have breeding open now,so I'm not sure
