Breeding:
Whiptail breedings are done by the WTE artists.
The two WTEs bred must be Male X Female.
They will be drawn in the adult lines, as it would be too much work to use foal lines and transfer to adults.

----- If you own both WTEs, you may PM the desired artist Form A.
----- If you only own one WTE, you may PM the desired artist Form B and also PM the owner of the breeding partner and request permission.
----- If you do not own any WTEs, PM the desired artist Form C.
Only 1 slot per user at a time.

There are 2 types of breeding:
1) Using your own WTE's.
2) 3rd party - meaning you don't own both the parent WTEs.
3) I will accept forms on the basis of first come first serve, the first three forms pmed to me will be accepted. I will not hold slots, so to ensure your slot is secured please pm me before sending payment.

Breeding Colorations:

Horses have either a red-base coat or black-base. Bay base is a mix of the two.
There are 4 dilution genes: cream, dun, silver, and champagne.

Cream dilution: (red-based gene)
red/brown base = palomino
bay base = buckskin
black base = smoky black
Dun dilution: (dorsal stripe, leg barring)
red base = red dun
bay base = dun
black base = black dun/grullo
Silver dilution: (black-based gene only, white mane/tail, dapples)
red base = no effect
bay base = silver dapple bay
black base = silver dapple black
Champagne dilution: (yellow/green/blue eyes, pink skin, freckles)
red base = gold champagne
bay base = amber champagne
black base = classic champagne

There are 4 coat modifiers: grey, flaxen, sooty/smutty, and mealy/pangare.
Grey modifier: causes various areas of the coat to turn grey.
Flaxen modifier: only affects red-based coats, recessive gene (both parents must carry) causes mane to lighten.
Sooty modifier: causes coat to darken in certain areas, usually shoulders, hips and face.
Pangare modifier: causes coat to lighten in certain areas, usually the belly, muzzle, flank, and around the eyes.

Now on to how I use these in breedings.
Listed under "Genes", your WTE's genetics are laid out like this:
Base: AA=Dominant (shown) markings, Aa=Recessive (shown) markings, aa=Recessive (hidden) markings.

Black base is dominant over red.

So it may be:
Red base: AA=Sooty, Aa=Roan/Overo, aa=Cream.

Note: some of these markings are specific to WTEs, not real horses.

List of Dominant (Aa) markings/genes: (At least one parent must show, or both parents carry)
Cream= Lightens entire coat and/or mane and tail. Little/no effect on black base.
Dun= Lightens body, often with a dorsal stripe, leg barring, and a shoulder stripe.
Frost= White spots/flecks sprinkled in the coat.
Grey= Causes most or entire coat to turn various shades of grey.
Overo= Body has white patches, usually on the sides/neck.
Pangare= Lightens certain areas (flank/belly/muzzle/eyes).
Roan= Mixes white hairs in with the body's base color.
Sabino= white patches or spots on the belly/chest.
Sooty= Darkens certain areas (back/shoulder/hips/face) often causes dappling.
Spotted Blanket= A white patch covers the rump/back area, accompanied by spots around the body.
Tobiano= Areas of the body have large white patches, often with large amounts of white on the legs.
Tovero= Cross between Tobiano and Overo.


List of Recessive (aa) markings/genes: (Both parents must show)
Brindle= Causes thin striped patterns.
Champagne= Skin is pink, causing a lightening of the base.
Leopard= White covers the entire coat except for small spots.
White Blanket= A white patch covers the rump/back area.

WTE specific markings:
Bi-color Striped= Like regular stripes, but with two colors.
Striped= Bold stripes/patches crisscross various parts of the body.
Torti= Swirly/smokey patches covering the body.


This may be confusing, but it's mainly just so I know how to do my WTE breedings :3

Hello all! I'm a newer artist on here but Penultima gave me permission to offer breedings, and here we are! I'm only offering breedings here and there, but please feel free to ask me questions whenever. (I also would be okay for offers involving my WTEs.)

Whip-Tailed Equines are my favorite fantasy equine on ChickenSmoothie, and I've been following them for awhile, and I adore them! That's why I'm thrilled to be an artist, and offering breedings now!

Prices
Filly/Mare: One Wishlist Pet, Uncommon (Any Year)
Colt/Stallion: One Wishlist Pet, Rare (Any Year) OR Uncommon from before 2011
I will take 7 wishlist items in exchange for a filly, or 10 for a colt. (This can differ depending on items!)


Rules
1) If you don't own one/both WTE's, please provide me proof of permission by the owner.
2) I do ask you send the trade in payment to me first.
3) I will start on foals when I have time- I will almost always get them to you within a week.
4) Please specify gender in either the trade, or the original ordering post.
5) If I notice you spamming/flaming other players, I may either postpone making your foal, or (in extreme cases) cancel the order.
6) I don't accept trades until the foal is made, don't worry. :3

"difficulty" is based on the complication of the parents' genes/designs/markings. I'd say your filly is around 11-12. :3
