Ernestine's antennae shoot up. Bugs, oh boy does she love bugs. She takes a piece of soft candy and tears it into small little chunks, placing them evenly throughout the bugs, kneeling down and smiling brightly as she watches the bugs skitter between candy piles.

BUGS!!!! chirpot thinks, the perfect friends to help me with my experiments! chiropt wouldn't dream of using them as test subjects, but i'm sure they'd love to help them carry extremely tiny tools for their extremely tiny chemical reactions in the lab! who else could be the perfect fit for their mere centimeter tall beakers and pipettes? and i'm sure they'd love to be paid in bug jelly, or pieces of fruit or vegetable, or even a piece of roadkill if that's what they'd most prefer! candy isn't that good for bugs... but maybe they can eat the paper wrapper?

Trisbaine made a face. "I have had to... eat bugs when I ran out of food. Do not recommend. They are squishy and just... BLECK. I mean don't get me wrong, there are some cute ones! But for every cute bug there's some... not so cute ones if you get my meaning.I-" He pauses, seeing a few and sighs. "Fiiiine, I'll share my candy. But only a little bit! Still gross."

Shipwreck, Harmony, and Chamomile aren’t too fond of bugs. Luna and Sol chill outside talking to the little guys. The others chill nearby and supervise, making sure that nothing decides to come out of the swamp. Wisp clips through the ground and their body is hanging out and glitching. Their expression is :|

Maple lowers themself closer to the dirt, watching them crawl around.
“They don’t look scary… just lost. Or busy. Maybe both.”
Maple shifts, letting a few climb onto their leaves.
“Heh, yeah… you can hang out here if you want. I don’t mind. My leaves make good shade.”
Maple smiles to themself, trying not to move too much.
“Guess I’ve got roommates now.”

well, if mud and dirt freaks out valentine, bugs are her worst nightmare. in theory.
oh my gawd! oh my gawd omg omg omg EW!! she shrieks, audibly disturbing a murder of crows nearby. she violently shakes her paw and stumbles back into some watery mud, yelping when she feels herself get a little wet. i need to go home! oh my gawd, what even was that thing? im covered in probably-parasite-water too!

the horrible bug in question was so oddly long and had seemingly thousands of legs. she whimpers, distressed about the possiblity of something even worse.
butterflies are so much prettier.. and dont live in creepy swamps!

p.s. i already won a keepsie! just doing this for fun :3

Nico #671 loves bugs! As long as they aren't ants. Ants that crawl all over his fur and get in his candy... he shivers, suddenly feeling like there are ants crawling all over him, and jumps up to check and make sure there aren't. Nope, he's all good. He creeps forward to investigate the bugs up close. They're just millipedes and isopods crawling over the leaf litter. He picks a few up, watching them roll into spirals and spheres.
