0. INTRO wrote:He woke up form a shallow sleep only to quickly realize he is still in Stormire. Ah. So it wasn't just a dream? He looked through the window of the Inn he was spending night in. The streets were already busy, even though it was early morning. Preparations for the festivities were in full swing.
He stretched awkwardly and jumped off the bed, ready (not really) to join the crowds.
1. A SUSPICIOUS ALLEY wrote:I'm lost. Holy hooves, I'm so lost.
How much time did he lose so far just by walking here and there and trying to find that spot? He relied on blinking around so much. All it was taking was just a single thought, a bit of visualisation and a sprinkle of magic and poof! He was at his destination.
Here...? His sense of direction was non existent anymore.
He turned around and noticed the Stormire's main gate top from the distance and felt... kinda bad. Dissappointed in himself? That's how it's called? I should know to start from there. It was rather obvious now, right? If he would start at the same spot he started his walk the day before, he sure would be able to follow his own steps and reach that mysterious alleyway. He couldn't stop thinking about it. There was something peculiar about that place.
Not long after he decided to step back and start from the main gate, he found himself on the right track. Places he was passing by seemed familiar enough to assume he has seen them before (hopefully the day before, not an hour before). He still wasn't content having so many fables around himself all the time, but he was slowly accepting that fact and started becoming slightly more comfortable. Not too much, just a tiny bit. He was navigating himself among the crowds much easier now too (and almost wasn't bumping into anyone).
He finally found the alley he was searching for and got a strange feeling by just standing close to it. He gazed around, wondering if the familiar fawny face would show up this time too (why would he be here again?). He noticed there were more fables around than yesterday, but still majority of them seemed to avoid the place. A black cat was sitting on a windowsill, observing them. A brief ponder later, he gathered courage and stepped in, wondering what he would find there.
2. THE STREETS wrote:Sometime after leaving the alleyway he found himself just strolling around the streets. His instinct was telling him to go check that magic fountain he walked past by the day before, but he hesitated. It wasn't a good moment, he felt that. Something was attracting him to the main street and it wasn't the honest willingness to watch the parade that was about to take place, oh no. He was never a fan and he was abslutely sure he would never become one.
However...
If he would want to learn something more, he could as well observe locals, their habits and their mannerism. It was always telling alot. Everyone has something to tell, even without words. He thought it would give him, if not answers, then at least some hints. He was curious if he would see familiar faces there and if something interesting would happen. Something that would lead him forward on this strange journey.
