❧ GENERAL

Bannochi have 2-4 kits on average, but litter sizes can be increased with the usage of items purchased at the apothecary. You may keep all your kits or trade them/gift them to other users!

Bannochi do not have a determinate gender. Any bannochi is capable of both bearing and siring kits!

Bannochi have 5 breeding slots for their lifetime. While breeding is encouraged, it's good to get fresh genes out there! We don't want to overbreed a single bannochi.

❧ BREEDING RULES

• A user may win 1 free breeding per month. This includes wins from raffles, games, and giveaways, but may exclude special event breeding spots if specified for that event.
  
  
• A user may use up to 3 purchased nests per month.
  
  
• Bannochi must be registered before they can breed and present on an up to date co-op page.
  
  
• Litter sizes are determined by RNG. Certain items available in the market can affect or add to this roll. Each litter is guaranteed to have at least 2 kits unless breeding can result in lethal gene pairs (double exotic agouti, double harlequin, and mpmb)
  
  
• Bannochi may not breed to any close relatives. This means 2 bannochi must not have any shared relatives on their respective pedigrees.
  
  
• An individual bannochi may only be bred once per week.
  
  
• A user may only have one active breeding request at a time. (ie. if you've posted a nest breeding form, you must wait for the results of that breeding to be posted before requesting another breeding). This excludes free breedings won in raffles/games/etc.
  
  
• Two registered bannochi are required for breeding, at least one of which must belong to the user posting the form.
  
  
• Do not use someone else's bannochi without their permission. Split breedings (ie. breedings involving two users) require confirmation in this thread. A proper confirmation is the second user quoting the breeding request in this thread and stating "confirmed".
  
  
• Split breedings do not change the number of kits possible in an outcome. It is possible an odd number of kits will be born. You MUST choose a method for litter splitting in your breeding form if doing a split litter.
  
  
• Once posted breeding forms may not be edited! Edited forms will be considered void.

❧ SPLIT BREEDING OPTIONS

Please choose one of the following options for splitting litters when posting a split breeding form.


• ALTERNATING - User posting the breeding form gets first pick, followed by alternating picks.
  (eg. a three kit litter would be split: 1st pick to user A, 2nd pick to user B, 3rd pick to user A)
  
  
• WEIGHTED ALTERNATING - User posting the breeding form gets first pick, user B gets the next two picks, followed by user A choosing one, then user B choosing one, etc. until all kits are chosen
  (eg. a five kit litter would be split: 1st pick to user A, 2nd and 3rd picks to user B, 4th pick to A, 5th pick to B)
  
  
• PICK OF LITTER - Stated user gets first pick, all remaining kits go to the other user. Please state the full username and ID of the user taking first pick.
  (eg. a three kit litter would be split: 1st pick to user A, 2nd and 3rd kits go to user B)
  
  
• SECOND PICK OF LITTER - User posting the breeding form gets first pick, then user B gets second pick, and the remainder of the litter goes to user A.
  (eg. a five kit litter would be split: 1st pick to user A, 2nd pick to user B, 3/4/5th pick to user A)
  
  
• FULL OWNERSHIP - User posting the breeding form gets full ownership of all kits produced in the litter.

❧ SPLIT BREEDING PREFIXES

Bannochi must have the prefix of their breeder. But what happens during a split breeding? There are a few options!


• ONE PREFIX - all kits receive the prefix of the user that posted the breeding form
  
  
• COMBO PREFIX - all kits receive both prefixes from each breeder (eg. POP! CS My Registered Name)
  
  
• PREFIX AND SUFFIX - all kits receive the PREFIX from one breeder and get a SUFFIX from the other breeder, preceded by the word "of" (eg. POP! My Registered Name of CS)

All kits in a litter must have the same prefix or combination of prefixes.

❧ GENETICS

Bannochi Genetics Guide


Bannochi genotypes are predetermined but "hidden." This means, when you adopt a bannochi you won't know exactly what its genotype is! Sometimes it's easy to tell part of a geno just by looking at a bannochi, but sometimes it's a little harder… like with those solid whites!

Bannochi genos can be discovered through breeding or by using items purchased at the market.

❧ LINE PASS RATES

All three lines can be bred together without restriction. The resulting kits' body types will be inherited as follows:


• Moderate x Moderate = 90% moderate, 5% showy, 5% sporty
  
• Showy x Showy = 90% showy, 9% moderate, 1% sporty
• Sporty x Sporty = 90% sporty, 9% moderate, 1% showy
• Moderate x Showy = 69% moderate, 30% showy, 1% sporty
• Moderate x Sporty = 69% moderate, 30% sporty, 1% showy
• Sporty x Showy = 60% moderate, 20% showy, 20% sporty

❧ MUTATIONS

Each litter has a 1% chance of producing a new gene or trait!

Once discovered, a new gene/trait will be available regularly through new foundation bannochi.

It's important to note that the parents who produced the mutation will not carry this mutation. The new mutation will not affect the parents' genotypes.

❧ AVAILABILITY

Breedings can be requested at any time by purchasing a nest at the shop. Please post your BASKET breeding forms here!

Free breedings will occasionally be raffled off here, offered in games/giveaways in the discord, or offered during special events. You don't need a basket for a free breeding!

❧ BREEDING RAFFLE RULES

• You may only win one breeding per raffle. This includes both personal and split breedings.
  
  
• You may only post ONE breeding form per raffle.
  
• Edits are not permitted for breeding forms. You may repost your form if edits are required, but new forms for split breedings will require another confirmation quote.
  
• You must have an up-to-date Bouquet in our co-op thread and all bannochi involved in your requested breeding must be registered.
  
• Do not delete the raffle tag or otherwise alter/"pretty up" the form

You can purchase a basket here at the shop.


• You may post a maximum of 3 basket breedings per month
  
  
• You may only post ONE basket breeding at a time. Wait for the first breeding to be fulfilled before requesting another.

Please post the form in this thread if using a purchased breeding basket. If doing a split breeding between 2 users, the second user must quote to confirm.
