Welcome to the trading thread! As Masques is still setting up, rules are subject to change. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about rule changes. We will keep the thread updated.

If you experience a situation which is not covered by the rules, are confused by the rules, or need any trade help: please contact staff.

✦ RULES ✦

Rules are subject to change. Any changes will be flagged with an update comment. Users should conduct fair and respectful trading.

✷ both parties must consent to a trade cancellation. You may not withdraw without permission from both parties.

✷ you must post on this thread for a trade to be official. Fill out the form, have the other party quote the comment and confirm the trade.

✷ only official artists may offer custom/recolour Masques for other UMAs/trades; there is a maximum of 3 per month.

✷ OCs/other UMA designs may be transferred onto a Masque and vice versa (as long as the other UMA allows); trading these is at your own discretion. A Masque version of an OC is considered part of that OC.

✷ after receiving any* Masque (no matter how you obtained it; except for customs and litterswaps, see below), there is a cooldown of 1 week before you may trade it away – this goes for within-species trading, or trading for other UMAs/art/etc.

✷ *trading customs: custom Masques (that you personally ordered from an artist) have a 4 week trading cooldown. The gifter may transfer to the giftee immediately, without cooldown. The giftee then must wait 4 weeks before trading.

✷ *trading litterswaps: can be conducted immediately. The new owner must adhere to the 1 week cooldown.

✷ trading Masques with custom art: you may add the value of the art onto the trade. However, this must be 1:1 and evidenced.

✷ you may trade Masques for: items/tokens from Masques, CS pets, C$ or artwork. You are responsible for any out-of-Masques trading you conduct.

✷ you may trade Masques for other UMAs/closed species; only if the other species rules allow for this. If applicable, cross post your trading confirmation to the other species trading thread.

✷ real life currency: if you paid for a custom with RLC, you may sell it for the exact amount you paid for it, and no more. You may not sell Masques that were traded to you (without RLC pay) or obtained freely for RLC.

✷ trades with waiting periods: as you may trade for a recolour, art, etc (things that take time) you should consider the trade official and finalised once posted here.

You may gift users Masques and items! Please follow the rules. Commissioned customs as gifts do not need to follow the cooldown, however, the new owner must follow the cooldown. Recipients must still confirm the trade as normal.

Like the rules say, staff can make 3 recolours/customs monthly for trades. This is my perma-post saying how many I have left per month, so everyone can see how many I'm making for other goodies.
